Living in Northern Ireland sucks. Can never attend any of the British LANs. :(
Accents turn me on not gonna lie
starting to get really sick, bleh
I get sick/flu like once a year and it's really miserable :(
I get sick maybe two times a year, but when it happens, it hits hard. Sucks.

At my old call center job, I would switch accents every other call. It was hilarious because it sounded a bit shaky IRL, but over the phone, you can't tell.
my accent makes it sound like i'm really trying to sound american and i cant help it
Does Illinois really have an accent? It's flat as fuck

for me it's literally go to college for free or VERY LITTLE or be stuck in Tallahassee forever and never go to college; I'm only getting this as I had a 3.9 weighted GPA in high school (I graduated 2014) and a 35 ACT. I'd much rather go somewhere else but college is college.
also, that only covers tuition so I still owe housing, food, living costs etc and we're not exactly a rich family
35 ACT god damn
[editline]8th April 2015[/editline]
27 loser here
I like to think that was a fluke of nature. The math was.. relatively basic, only going up to basic-ish trig and so I had that going for me but my essay was shit (because they're not graded like AP essays I guess, which I usually did okay with) and my reading and science scores were lower
my sat was trash tho, 1940
I don't want to go to college, so I won't.

Isn't 1940 close to the top 10%?
Isn't 1940 close to the top 10%?
Yep. Getting a 35 on an ACT means you scored higher than 99.7% of the people that took the test. 36 is the highest it goes and only 1,845,787 students in HISTORY have ever gotten a 36. That's 0.07622%.
Isn't 1940 close to the top 10%?
the highest you can do is 2400
technically it's top 88% but it's still not really that great
plus my crit score (the 1600 scale) was like top 80%

i could've done it if i took it again maybe but i don't care enough, a 35 is a 35 and my math section was a 36.

You're waaaaayyy too hard on yourself
You're waaaaayyy too hard on yourself
my motivation is / was to leave tallahasee because i fucking hate florida and this city and i was willing to do anything to get out and anything less than that is terrible. probably doesn't help i was around the smarter crowd (i was only like 100 of 400 in my class, but then again, i only took 5 ap classes, 2 junior year 3 senior and i don't even count ap lit and lang, so technically just calc physics and apush and physics was easy as hell) who do that in their sleep, straight As with like 4.4 or so gpa saying "oh yeah i'm worried about getting into college it's like super competitive!!" and half of them are practically published already or hand picked for some research shit or went to state or nationals science fair
all i got going for me is my test scores and music, and i don't want to major in music (waste of money, big time)
You're waaaaayyy too hard on yourself
You are right but I disagree because when you score that high it tends to be that you're the kind of person who could have done better, and they tend to be harder on themselves.
I tried to convert my score from high school to SAT but I don't think there is anyway to actually be accurate.

damn dude
i got a 3.45 gpa and a 33 act. the 3.45 made me ineligible for higher scholarships at the 3.5 level which made me so pissed
Got my wisdom teeth removed earlier today, kinda just been sitting here drugged up and in pain for the past 7 or so hours. Couple days off work at least, gonna watch movies the entire time, maybe even finish Twin Peaks.
TIL: there has been a live hydrogen bomb buried just off the coast off georgia for the last fifty years.
Yarr looking for some booty land lubbers?

Notice period?
Notice period?
It's the duration before your employment actually ends, after you hand in your notice (because you want to leave). It's a UK thing I think.
