Because youtube quality is so bad it's unbearable [editline]14th April 2015[/editline] Also I had some problems with Spotify on my phone, mainly it disconnecting a lot but it seems that it's been fixed recently :)
I honestly can't tell most of the time with YouTube quality. Maybe I'm not that much of an audio nerd. Like I can tell if the video is 240p and bit rate is shit but between an mp3 cd and a regular commercial cd I can't tell the difference
I dont get why people praise spotify so much when you can just do the same on youtube.
uh they really are totally different Youtube doesn't have 30+ million songs, doesn't have radio features, has much worse quality, doesn't have apps/devices that support proper background listening on phones (my 3rd party YT does this but it is nearly not as functional or efficient as using an actual music app), doesn't have curated playlists, the UI isn't nearly as fast or efficient for adding actual albums/artists to your library (you have to use playlists and hope the playlists are correct), absolutely no music discovery features (the MAIN reason you use stuff like this), no ability to listen to full albums/playlists/etc offline (unless you just use a YT downloader for everything, but that is basically just piracy and is way way more time consuming), etc It's literally just looking up lyric videos at varying levels of quality and throwing them into a playlist, not even close to being a fully featured music service

Personally, because i tend to search for heavier bands that are out there nowadays from metal to post-hardcore and spotify really do not cater to that group. I haven't looked at it for many months now but last time i was on it, they had about 20% of my itunes playlist on there and the bands i was listening to weren't just unknown garage bands that you'd hear in a local bar, they were bands that have had a few albums out and toured around the world but yet they'd only have 1 album of theirs and thats it. Not to mention the excessive amount of adverts they had. But like i said earlier, the last time i used it was about 6 months ago. Unless its changed dramatically, they cater to mainly the money hungry.

Even with some songs on Spotify compared to if I listened to them on foobar [editline]14th April 2015[/editline] Also since I'm a a student I pay half for a premium subscription so that's why I use Spotify a lot
Tbf, it really doesnt matter because pro-spotify people will defend spotify because they like it, same with pro-youtube people haha. It's like TV shows, its all to do with perferences.
At least Spotify won't tell me I can't listen to some songs because of copyright laws. [sp]However some artists don't want to be on spotify[/sp]
At least Spotify won't tell me I can't listen to some songs because of copyright laws. Using youtube instead of spotify is like using a old wooden stick instead of a proper silicone dildo.
What if you think streaming music in general is shit and you prefer to have it on your hard drive
that's ok we are all entitled to our own opinions
Jesus Christ I just sucked the biggest dick I've ever encountered. Like holy shit it was stupid big. It was like a meat bat. I'll try to get a picture next time. Weirdest thing is it was attached to this super skinny waifish guy, taller than me but the same weight. So very hot though.
hot, sounds fun

I.e. Zaba by glass animals is on there and they only have one album released just last year. They also have the full catalog of God is an Astronaut which is a rather obscure (if popular in its subgenre) post-rock group. And adverts aren't a problem when you pay for the service (what i look to do), besides if you are comparing adverts then YT's excessive advertising isn't any different. Of course if a music service doesn't have the bands you are into then they aren't worth it for sure. The nice thing about xbox music was that if there were any gaps in their library you could just upload the albums/songs to onedrive and have it be included in your XBM library. The downside to XBM was that a major reason I want a music service, music discovery (not looking up specific artists I already know) was complete shit on xbm.
I use spotify solely because it tossed ad revenues the way of the artists I listen to (whcih tend to be smaller groups) if they have an official ad on youtube I will use that instead. Ive got decent internet so other than the irritating autoplaylist feature recently added to youtube there isnt much difference to me. I hated the spotify app too much to use it on my phone, and bootleg youtube isnt really that much better. I just buy my favourites to keep on my phone. Or download them otherwise when im broke with a mental note to get them when I can
Idk I listen to music in my car a lot so Spotify doesn't really work for me
Idk I listen to music in my car a lot so Spotify doesn't really work for me
How so? You could hook Spotify up by Bluetooth or by an auxiliary cable perhaps? I think Spotify is great, was introduced to it a few months ago and now it's just my go-to place for music. The desktop app (at least on Windows, anyway) seems to be getting progressively worse though. It's way laggier than it used to be.

So, I got a PS3 for my birthday and I'm looking for PS2 games to play (it's one of the first ones, that can play PS2 games, so I can buy them used without a problem). The thing is, when I grew up I never had any consoles, only some handhelds but never had N64, Playstation, Gamecube, SNES, nothing at all. So I've never played ANY PS2 or PS3 titles, I emulated some PSX 'must plays' and now I have the chance to play PS2 games. So, what are your favorite PS2/PS3 games, or the ones that you consider I must play at least once in my life? I'll consider every single one of them, I'm hyped to see what I missed when I was a kid/teenager :v: And yes, I've never played any Final Fantasy or Metal Gear, not even that.
