I hate it how some job adverts ask for a picture. Literally so they can make sure you're white. I feel uncomfortable sending them a picture, if you think someone's the right person for the job at least interview them before rejecting them based on looks.
any job would accept a tiger whats your problem?
Oh right, the guy I mentioned I'll be dating in the last page. It's going to be my first proper date with anyone and I'm going to be shy and nervous as fuck, I'm going to be spending a week with him too on a convention.

Just smile and relax. You have something interesting coming up and it's worth doing it.

I've never seen a job where they ask for a picture of you?
I've never seen a job where they ask for a picture of you?
I've seen it a lot in bar/club ads, especially the fancy ones. Huh, I work at a bar and we generally don't accept positions from online applications and such. But if you come in person there's a 99% chance you get a trial shift. Its actually pretty easy to get into bar work if thats what you're looking for. I couldn't speak for the fancy ones though.

What about the fact that people are shallow and let's say a bartender job asks for your pic. A good looking bartender will bring in more money than one that looks like a donkey's ass it's basic business sense.
Yeah but technically illegal, they should only be able to reject you after meeting in person.
Alright, so I just had a mail mix up, I was supposed to be receiving a drawing tablet. Instead, I got Female Sex Bondage.
Alright, so I just had a mail mix up, I was supposed to be receiving a drawing tablet. Instead, I got Female Sex Bondage.
Even better
Even better
I'm annoyed it's female only to be honest, even I wanted to use it I couldn't. It's just more insult to injury being like that.
So..... My boyfriend is incredibly horny today apparently. He told me "When you get home, have a shower and then go into your room, don't say anything, but i will be in position, waiting" Well. Looks like i'm going to have a fun night!
S.W.A.T. foreplay
Parents are going away for four nights, boyfriend is coming over for five :) This weekend is going to be great.
Yeah but technically illegal, they should only be able to reject you after meeting in person.
It's actually not, many jobs are required by law to meet certain racial quotas and will ask for the picture for many reasons beyond just race. But race is factored in, many times its actually affirmative action that causes a racial divide in work places, the very thing meant to combat it has worsened it. There times sateside that if a white person were to be hired, it'd cause either investigation to brought against the employer or fines. Last hiring season for example, we by law couldn't hire any whites unless a current white employee left, we had to look specifically for Hispanic and Black applicants and we could only go by names. We had to meet a percentage and had no other choice.

My aunt and her partner just announced her wedding date, I'm so happy for them
What a terrible week of waiting that was, jesus. Finally got my new motherboard though! I can finally actually do things again instead of trying desperately to look at things on an old gen 2 iPod touch and playing 360 games. Like damn, I had so much time to kill that I went and completed the endless setlists for Rock Band 2 and 3, played the hell out of them until I didn't have any songs left I wanted to hear, 100% completed Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, beat the campaign for Halo Reach (which was my first time ever playing this one), got as much done in all the Guitar Hero and DJ Hero games as I could manage, I nearly ran out of things to do before this new motherboard finally arrived. Felt more like three weeks.
100% completed Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts
i'm sorry
i'm sorry
So am I, but I was just that desperate for something to play. :v: Not even worth it, christ that game is frustrating most of the time, and it's not like I get anything out of it.
Coming back to the whole "asking for photo for a job" thing. I remember watching TV early in the morning back in the day of GMTV (UK morning tv show) and there was actual sceince research that people that are good looking recieve better benefits, more likely to get the job they want, have a happier life and may also get things discounted.
