Just received an email with the results of the Hollybrook Golf and Tennis condominiums Inc. Board of directors elections for 2015-2017
This is a country club in Florida. The closest I've been to Florida is West Virginia and I was there for a day.
I get emails all the time from people all over Latin America, as well as in this country. I guess m<lastname>@gmail.com is pretty common.
Going to go see Kingsman now with a guy I haven't talked to in about half a decade.
Uhm the main thing that created and furthers racial divides is racism and white people being able to say "the n- word" ain't exactly what's going to end that, sorry
Queer is a word that anyone can say because people stopped saying it and any cultural meaning it had is lost, at least on younger generations. Thats how you remove the meaning. You stop using it.
that was not even close to being remotely the point of my post or even the topic.
The point i was making was that by enforcing some arbitrary limitation on a word, it causes uneeded stress and tension on the culture surrounding it and the people as well. For instance: faggot. People use it to insult others, then many 'reclaimed' it. Meaning that the word to them was harmless, it wasn't used or considered insultory towards them. But the second a non gay uses it, it's offensive again. That's not reclaiming, that's literally reversing the hate in the other direction. Nothing had changed there at all, the word would still be offensive just 'oh its okay to say fag cause im gay but its offensive if you're not gay'.
If a word is reclaimed it has to be on neutral ground, period. Open to any one to use, if it's not then that's not reclaiming by definition.
Of course white people saying nigger won't end racism, but racism isn't even close to being that simple to solve, or really disparagement in general. But it's a step in the right direction. By making that word off limits to certain people, it (and im repeating myself here) changes absolutely nothing and continues to perpetuate the word as bad.
Taking anti-____ words and saying they're not bad because you say so and now use it strikes me as silly. There's ironic usage, and then there's giving actual bigots excuse to imply that being gay is bad.

the idea behind it is to replace the connotation of the word with a renewed use of the word. It's exactly the same as language evolving, which is something that is constantly happening and is proven to happen.
But that happens through widespread use and adoption of the new meaning or word.
It's not a silly idea, it's literally (and using literally actually correct here) how language works.
Like you legitimately can't debate this, words change over time for evolving languages and usages. Just like how over the course of 100 years 'gay' changed meaning twice. In comparison to times in the past, 100 years and two different sweeping changes of a words meaning is practically unheard up but things happen and change quickly in this modern world.

Jelly over not having a timemachine?
Also valentines day is overrated. Love your other every day of the year.
Hooray I managed to not be in debt.
Last week I had 21 dollars in my account and now I have 47 ^^
I like that some people write 500 words to defend their use of a single word when they could simply use a different single word to convey the same meaning without upsetting anyone.
There's no argument at all in support of it being more convenient so the argument is literally "I should be able to continue upsetting people without consequence or criticism because farrrt".
Use whatever words you want. But understand that other people are going to use the words they want right back at you if you have upset them in the process.
Be my valentine.
I want to hug you all day.
That is a haiku.
A single man in his dorm
about his loneliness will mourn
soon he would stop it
as he saw chocolate
I tried.
You all deserve hugs.
um hugs spread germs you bioterrorist

Gotta scare them heteros y'know
I was accosted by a strange girl today. She was wearing a panda hat (or severed panda scalp) and was standing next to me while I waited for traffic lights to change to allow me to cross.
"Whoa what happened to your hair?"
"What?"
She pointed out my hair had grown out the dye quite a fair bit, so now it's brown at the roots and red everywhere else. I said I was thinking of getting it redyed a different color, and thought black might be a good change. She said it would look good and I should do it.
I had to go catch my train though and she sounded so disappointed but it was strange as hell. Though the news reported today the building where I got my lunch was later today closed for a bomb threat and she headed in that direction...

Should have asked for her number.
Should have asked for her number.
I was rather taken aback at the whole thing. I like eccentricity but it came out of nowhere. I don't know what's with this place. People with severed head hats, some guys yelled something at me out of a truck, and a bomb threat in the place where I get my lunch.
I am scared.

Each bar is a month.

My credit score has also gone up a ton by having a lower credit/debt ratio.
Idk what my credit score looks like but my bank credit card got approved for a +2k$ limit so i guess it's good
If we're talking about finances,
My job nets me $800 a month. I get paid $9.50 an hour and I work about 30 hours a week. My car payment is $350 + gas + food.
At the end of the month after all expenses, I have probably about $250 left.
I am not doing well.
yeah pretty sure this is racist
I was lampooning the average Australian. I spoke to some people who had visited Australia recently the other day and from what they said it is really bad atm with nearly everyone they et going on about "the Muslims"
One of the more embarrassing conversations I have had...
[editline]14th February 2015[/editline]
I don't want to think about my finances. I am gonna have to go straight back to dominos when I get home which sucks.

What's killing is the fact that you have a $350/month car payment. You should consider getting a cheaper car that you won't have to pay monthly on. Imagine if you had to move out or live on your own - you wouldn't be able to afford it. You could probably cut back on eating out as well to save some money. A budget will be immensely helpful if you set one up and stick to it.

Yeah the new hub pages are so much better than the one on the old router, plus it shows all connected devices without the need to login which is a great thing to tell if someone broke the WiFi password like someone did a few months ago.

I have a full budget drawn up already. I allow 30$ a week for gas and 15$ a week for food. I still live with my parents, but I honestly dislike living here so much that I am considering finding a 2nd job to make enough money to move out (I'm also 18). But the problem with that is as soon as I do it, I am cut off from all financial support, and that's not exactly wise at this point in my life.
