I just say I'm bi at the moment, until I know myself well enough to actually define my sexuality. Some people have actually assumed I was asexual in the past, but that's not true. I'm just shy as heck when it comes to personal stuff.
I want to explore my sexuality, and I guess the first start is letting people know, but I never feel like it's relevant. Relevancy kills off all conversation though I guess, since on some level nothing is relevant. That, and I don't actually know what I'm about, so I can't talk about it. But I can't find out if I don't talk about it. Irritating. I just don't consider the question deeply enough very often, and when I do I get distracted and stop. Either I don't care, or it's just more comfortable to not think about who I am.
Fucking this. I think you and I are just demisexual tbh.
I'm homosexual as fuck.
So I assume pansexual would be my thing then. I'm more of a guy who goes for personality and don't mind trans as partners.
Demisexual. Join my club. On wednesdays, we wear pink.
Can someone get me a handy little booklet on all the [THING]sexual? There seems to be more every month.

I prefer to simplify sexuality down to the binary terms; heterosexual, bisexual, and homosexual. Like, people have 'types', and that's secondary interest. What demisexuality entails, I put down to secondary interest. Defining it within already socially acceptable terms.
But I think, in simplifying it like this, I make it somewhat more complicated than just labeling everything. I don't want to explain my label. Maybe these new labels are the way of the future, and that I'm not helping people by denying them, but I guess I'll wait and figure that one out. I'm reluctant to make myself seem different by openly taking on 'radical' new ideas. I'll decide whether I want to help integrate them, but for now I'm sticking to the big 3.

Who isn't a little off kilter on this forum? I'd like to think I'm a little more sane than some of the people that frequent sensationalist headlines.
I just read what Demisexual is and seriously if it's not a way for someone to feel like a special snowflake I don't know what it is
Seriously someone who needs to be emotionally attached to someone before they really get attracted to them isn't a branch of sexuality it's being a fucking human being
Like at this point you could even call yourself a humansexual to specify you're attracted to other human beings
why not just be sexual.
You've read the Urban dictionary ones right?
Just did and I love the Demi Lovato definition.
Also the pansexual thing, only wanting to date someone for their personality isn't special, it's how you build a relationship. Relationships based on looks only don't work and never will. It's not special and I bet even if you met the nicest guy/girl but they were 400 pounds and their face was horrifying you wouldn't date them.

Basically all I'm trying to say is just because you're different doesn't mean you're special, it only means you're unique.

I'm so glad you finally told us. It's not healthy to keep these things to yourself.

Sexual attraction doesn't imply romantic attraction.
Being sexually attracted to someone before you're romantically attached to them, that would be what demisexuals claim doesn't happen.
I never really considered looking at and taking on any of those non-binary labels because some twat would pull the special snowflake card for trying to be specific about how I am if I claimed to be one.
Secure that shit, Hudson.

Probably because honestly it's not special enough to warrant labelling and actively calling yourself something so vague and common. Demisexual isn't a real thing it's literally just a name people call themselves to feel different and special.

I tried. Tumblr got mad at me and told me I had no right to define things I wasn't. So your shit out of luck unless you can find someone who identifies as that thing and is willing to talk it out to you. (Which many art and get tired of doing which is why I wanted to make a comprehensive list in the first place)

I wonder how
shots fired
For the majority of my teenage years I was convinced I was gay.
It was only until I was face to face with another man's cock that I thought "You know what, this isn't for me"
Don't you mean head to head
into the mouth
For me it has gone from straight to pretty much gay.
at 19 I kinda started noticing it and now at 20 I know I am and I'm secure with it. Parents don't know about it but I know they would just go "okey son" and life would go on as usual.

I'm heterosexual, but I have enough confidence in my own sexuality that if someone who happens to be homosexual asked me to suck his dick, I would do it. That's the magnitude of my benevolence. Homosexuality is just a mutation, a leap of evolution, and it should be embraced by everyone. Because when we treat this biological phenomena by handling it with disgust, it lowers the life quality of human beings, and they're no different from for example being born with blue eyes.
If you think this is strange then just embrace it, strange is simply a form of something that's unaccustomed with and different from what the subjective prejudices in your mind have created.
Love to everyone.
