I don't even have the tiniest temptation to drink. It holds zero appeal and I have no idea what other people see in it.
Because people think it taste good. The end.
I don't drink to get drunk [sp]anymore[/sp]. I drink because I enjoy the taste of some beverages, mixed or straight alcohol.
I like the taste of beer and wine tbh.
I never understood beer, i've had a few more expensive beers and they all tasted like sand to me. Though serve some scotch or white wine and i am all over that shit
I prefer beer, then again, I'm also german so what else is new...
And I genuinely enjoy it from all my heart. Its rich, savory and refreshing at the same time. It goes well with hearty meals and grain products such as dark bread, you can actually drink several without ceasing to function in a social context, I just really like it
I like beer as long it's not cold.
My father mixes me some alcoholic drinks on occasions when I visit his restaurant.
Outside of that I'm not much of a drinker.
Yaaaaaasssssss bitch got a second IT job!
I'm a year into my current IT job, what do I move onto now? Because I really do not like it
I like beer as long it's not cold.
Room temperature beer is ehhh. Cold beer is so refreshing in the summer while in a pool
Oh god why isn't it summer already

What do you do? Help desk?
It depends on what you want to do and what you have training/expertise in. If your job has you stuck behind a phone all day I could see why you'd hate it, I prefer hands on field work, personally.
I don't even have the tiniest temptation to drink. It holds zero appeal and I have no idea what other people see in it.
Special snowflake alert.
Saying "I don't see what appeal booze has to anyone" is not the same as saying "you're wrong for liking booze, and I'm special for not liking it". Why does everybody get so defensive when somebody says they hate alcohol? It's their opinion about a drink.
Well i have a phobia of getting drunk wich, emanates from a traumatizing event i like to call, the hobo party. Even though i have found some alcohol i like, mainly ciders and rum, everytime i drink im afraid ill turn into..
One of them!
Stouts are fucking delicious. Can't stomach whisky though, i just love the toasty/burned flavour most stouts have.

Maybe that's because you haven't tried it

I'm help desk but for a medium size office so I mostly go to peoples desks, I just don't wanna work in IT
There's drinking and then there's being drunk. A lot of people like to do the former but not go overboard as to become the latter. For a lot of people it is not about the social aspect of it. Personally I like the different flavours from different concoctions of drinks and such.
I'm going to be honest, I like drinking to get a little drunk. Not raging mad, but the point where playing Euro Truck Simulator 2 gets a lot more interesting (and amusingly difficult).
I don't even have the tiniest temptation to drink. It holds zero appeal and I have no idea what other people see in it.
I initially din't see the appeal of fisting either.
Maybe that's because you haven't tried it
Nobody's ever been able to give me a reason to try it. The only positive answers almost always seem to be "the social aspect" or "I like the taste." Socially, I don't see why drinking alcohol would make you any more social than, say, drinking grape juice. And as for the taste, I really like the taste of fruit juices so why do I need to drink alcohol?
The taste is the only thing that I've seen anyone say that makes any sense to me.

What do you want to work in? I like working in IT, it pays well and it's easy peasy lemon squeezy for me.

you're acting like it's some horrible thing that you're above trying, with your refusal to even experience it once
[editline]24th March 2015[/editline]
as if everyone else in the world that drinks must simply be confused
And as for the taste, I really like the taste of fruit juices so why do I need to drink alcohol?

I really like the Prius, why would I want to drive a Crown Vic?
I hope this makes sense of what you've just said
for fucks sake trekintosh just taste it.
I hardly drink alcohol. Like once a month and never thought I would drink it. I first drank beer at like 18.
Like for fucks sake are you afraid of becoming addicted? If it taste like shit then it's fine if you choose not to drink it.
I always think it tastes horrible, I can only drink fruity ciders.
I need it for parties though, I'm shy in crowds so it's useful to get a bit of buzz to take away some inhibitions

There's lots of interesting cocktails and mixed drinks that only really work with an alcoholic component and they're more interesting than just plain fruit juice, so there's that going for the taste bit
Socially, it's less the drinks themselves and more the effects they have on people, intoxication can bring out a lot of changes in a person and if nothing else, it's an interesting experience, people find it fun
I want to try a Bacardi Mojito so bad. It looks delicious.
Someone should bring the ingredients down to Portland and we can make some at my apartment :v:
Japanese Slipper for life. That cocktail always hits the spot.
Okay, I think I understand it now. I wasn't trying to be high and mighty, it just literally didn't compute for me.
i'm legally allowed to booze it up in 33 days
too bad i have nobody to do it with
