I find paintball better because you know when you shot someone as to airsoft they can lie and not get out.
They do that in paintball too. Its called wiping.
It's really easy with those power ranger suits you wear.

It doesn't even have the two scopes or vert-grips. You also have to be kidding me if you think that thing looks better than a chromed shotgun.
Pelting each other with 100+ bb's is realistic and cool, and in airsoft you go blind when shot in the face, just like real life!
It's called face and eye protection. We use it in Airsoft too.
Dye Proto SLG UL's FTW. This gun has NEVER failed me. No chopping whatsoever and it's accurate. It's a lil' beast.
I find that my 552 looks better, is very accurate, and hasn't had anything wrong with it aside from a BB jam once and the selector switch on the right side breaking off.
I find paintball better because you know when you shot someone as to airsoft they can lie and not get out.
Then don't play with douchebags and, if you are, don't stop shooting.
Then don't play with douchebags and, if you are, don't stop shooting.
I love lighting up cheaters.
I love lighting up cheaters.
Don't we all. I once had to shoot a guy in the back of the head because that's all that was showing. He didn't call himself out and I no longer felt bad. Hit him 6 times in the back of the head, not an ounce of remorse.
Like I said earlier. IF we are playing one shot one kill and they decide not to call. I make my own rule called one mag one kill for the cheaters. Never had someone not call an out twice with me. BTW dawg I also have the JG 552, Its a great gun I'm looking at upgrading the barrel length with a tightbore. Also where did you get the scope mount for yours or did it come with it?
Airsoft is cheaper.

That'll increase your accuracy more than a longer barrel and tightbore for about $100 cheaper.
Yes, we've established that.
Never hurts to be reminded.
I still regret not taking my old Airsoft Glock Replica back to my country. I think i left it somewhere in 'Japan'. I have 2 G19 replica airsoft, and one G28. Shoots the same old bb bullet but the G28 replica was fuckin powerful, I remember the plastic bullet leaving a dent on a thin steel plates people use for signboards. 'We used to call it the BB-Gun or the Air-Gun' I got my eyes on an Airsoft M4 Replica, Costs $150. <- and that is OUTSIDE the country. In my country, the sell a Airsoft Glock for $300! Yep, I know airsoft is illegal in my country but we here still play it 'Illegally'.
And which country is this?
Malaysia. =( Owning a Gun Without license could get you. 'Mandatory Death Sentence'
I wonder how do you "detect" cheaters. I understand it's easy in obvious situations, but what if you weren't sure if hit was or wasn't and he doesn't call?
RAGE! Okay, now when that is said, I'd like to present the cons and pros of Paintball Pros: - Tons of fun. - Various playstyles. (Woodball, speedball etc.) - 'Real' tournaments. Unlike Airsoft which is gay @ tournaments. Trust me on this one, I've played both. - Fair play. Unlike Airsoft you DO KNOW WHEN YOU ARE HIT, and others do too. It's alot more diffucult to cheat, which makes the game alot more fair - but it does happen. - VERY low injury rate. Unlike football, tennis, NAScar, paintball has a very low injury rate - typical injuries are minor injuries such as a swollen angel from stepping wrong and so on. - Safe! Just like airsoft does paintball require alot of safety equipment! Full face masks are required, and gloves, pants, jersey and neck protector are optional. But better be safe than sorry! - A great workout! You do burn alot of calories when playing paintball, so it's a great way to get fit - but you need to lay in a few hours a week to get results. - Friendly community. My impression of the paintball community all over the world is nothing but positive! If you need help, there are often a lot of people who will come and help you. This is the best part of paintball. - A position for everyone *wink wink*. There are 3 main field positions: Front, midt and back. Front is for gunners, the ones that want to get out and experiance some action! Typical these are the ones to get shot. Midt players are the more passive-agressive ones, still up on the field shooting some paint, but they still don't want too much of the action. Back players are for those with money, patience and overview. Back players control the front players by covering their asses as they make their move up the field. Some pro back players carry up to a whole case of paint (2000 rounds) on them, for a single game. Cons :( - Expencive. Yes, paintball is a rather expencive sport if you play a bit more serious that just a weekend a month or so. Please note - it's worth it. - Less realism. If you want to be a soldier, an armyboy or a gameboy - this may not be the sport for you. Airsoft is more realistic and therefore more army-ish. Personally I dont care about the realistic guns or enviroments, but I do care about the gameplay, where I find paintball alot more excillerating (sp?). Just like everything else in this world, you will find idiots in this sport aswell. My advice? Ignore them, and keep positive. This is a great sport, and I'd reccommend it to anyone with a taste for adrenalin. I rest my case.
I find paintball better because you know when you shot someone as to airsoft they can lie and not get out.
That's why you don't play with assholes. I play in big Finnish Airsoft-community and our arena is abandoned factory. If you lie/cheat there, you get banned for 1-6 months. If you try to come back when your banned, they will throw you out and ban permanently.

The way that it seems to me breaks up like this Paintball - West Coast Airsoft - East Coast Middle states - Mixed. And I think airsoft is more for the average person who could try it and dabble in it without cleaning out their bank account for a decent setup.
I respect paintball as more of an arcade shooter and a sport, but I'm an airsoft guy. You can do so much more with an airsoft gun. The fact that it causes less damage means you can play it virtually anywhere and no one really recognizes you were there; Especially if you use Bio-Degradable BB's. With paintball, people get pissed about paint being all over shit so you're more required to play at an arena, which isn't all bad. A lot of people use the argument "LOL PAINTBALL HURTS MORE SO IT'S MANLIER". Not only is that a stupid reason to play a sport, it's not even accurate. The difference isn't the amount of pain, it's in how it is presented. With paintballs, all the force of the impact is dispersed, most of the energy transferred into the liquid paint (This is why you do NOT put gobstoppers in a paintball gun oh my god), but the blunt of the force is pushed into the player. This usually causes bruising, and is more akin to being punched. BB's, however, transfer 100% of their energy into a player. This creates very sharp, stinging pain (due to their small size) and welts. Most people get their "pain" comparison wrong because all they've been hit with is a tiny wal-mart gun, which is a totally inaccurate comparison. Yesterday, my friends' arm was bloody from a game of airsoft, because we use decent weapons, and I'm not talking red skin, I literally mean that there was blood running down his arm from getting shot. I also don't like the aesthetics of paintball guns. Sure, you can get casings to make them look like real guns, but they're expensive, and the ridiculous-ass hopper is still on top. Airsoft guns are backed by weapon's manufacturers and are always designed to look like real guns. Airsoft is more for players who like simulation, playing out battles and whatnot. Paintball is for sport. Airsoft was actually created in Japan when guns were banned to simulate real weapons, and they still produce blowback weapons that emulate recoil. Note that those clear-plastic guns were created for children, so police would see the plastic and know it's not a real gun. There's plenty of cases where an airsoft gun has been mistaken, and people have gotten hurt. There's never any serious weapons with a clear-plastic casing, they're nearly always cheap beginner stuff. One of the deciding factors is how cheap the ammunition is. Paintball buckets cost WAY more than a few hundred-thousand BB's.
And I think airsoft is more for the average person who could try it and dabble in it without cleaning out their bank account for a decent setup.
Not really, you have to put in at least $150 for decent weapons, add more for gear. A good airsoft gun is up $200.
How is airsoft for the backyard? You can play airsoft anywhere you play paintball and more.
Well, did you notice that I said that you're ABLE to play in the backyard, and not that it's the only place to play?
How about join a military service in stead being a pussy and pretending.
Airsoft is for people who think MW2 is a game based on a true story. That being said, I want to sell all my paintball stuff. Anyone wanna buy a Tippman A5? I have two, one with a CAR stock and the other with a SAW stock, the one with the CAR stock has an electronic trigger. I also have a shit load of pods, NO2, CO2, helmets and other padding i'm going to try to get rid of. How much do you think I should try to get for all this? [editline]09:24AM[/editline]
How about join a military service in stead being a pussy and pretending.
I am going to. But it's not pretending if you're just having fun shooting at your friends. It is pussy if you're pretending like you're going to be a high speed low drag operator when you grow up.
Still, I believe that Paintball is substantually superior to Airsoft. - But yes, Airsoft is more accessable than paintball - since you're able to play in the backyard and such.
Shut up goddamnit, you can't play actual airsoft in someones backyard. At most some wooded area a ways away from your home, but airsoft is not a backyard sport. Again, that's clearsoft, shitty $20 walmart guns.
How about join a military service in stead being a pussy and pretending.
Definitely a possibility for some of us airsofters. They're linked interests, but we play airsoft because it's fun and nobodies lives are in danger.
Airsoft is for people who think MW2 is a game based on a true story.
Fine. Paintball is for people who think power rangers are real.
Fine. Paintball is for people who think power rangers are real.
No you moron Power Rangers arn't real they WERE real. Get your facts straight before you post and make yourself look like an idiot. P.S. Just because your gun looks real it doesn't mean you're a real time operator fit for military service.
Shut up goddamnit, you can't play actual airsoft in someones backyard. At most some wooded area a ways away from your home, but airsoft is not a backyard sport. Again, that's clearsoft, shitty $20 walmart guns.
Apparently, that is where you started - and still are. Just with a $30 gun from the local sports store (: But what about you hopping off that high horse of yours for a sec, and give paintball a break? Have you even tried it? I'm talking from experiance, what are you talking from?
Paintball is wicked fun, but it's true; buying paint is like throwing money into a hole and burning it. That's why I only play every other weekend, because it costs me $30-$70 every time I go there, depending upon whether I have to buy another box of paint. Do you know how many hours I have to work to earn $70? 10 hours. If I earned more money per hour, I would play paintball every weekend. I still play airsoft, though not as much as I used to. If I had a choice between playing one of them on one of my free-days, I would choose paintball because it's more fun to me. I really couldn't care less if the guns aren't "realistic". Realism is overrated.
My way of looking at these two as if they were videogames: Paintball Scifi-shooter with usually colourfull areas and weird looking guns, higher tempo and shorter games. Air-soft Modern shooter trying to be as realistic and as simulative as possible.
