Creator of thread is '10. :ms:
Hey my question was which one would be better for me. I didn't start ask which one was the best. Maybe I wasn't too clear on that...
Why would you put that much into something like this? I mean, Paintball can be expensive too, don't get me wrong, but its worth it. I don't see the attraction to the whole military thing either. I'm there to have fun shooting my friends, not to enter the military.
We play MilSim airsoft because it's fun, not because we plan or want to join the military. We have an interest such things, is that so horrible?
The good thing about airsoft is assuming you have an AEG, you don't need to keep paying for CO2.

Never tried air-soft but paint-ball hurts like a motherfucker for the first millisecond you get hit by one :suicide:
Never tried air-soft but paint-ball hurts like a motherfucker for the first millisecond you get hit by one :suicide:
They hurt about the same depending on the power of the gun. How about we let this thread die now? We have a airsoft forum here if anyone has more questions.
More ammo for less mone for airsoft.
I can't imagine to "play" with airsoft but I've played with paintball with friends before and it was really fun.
I can't imagine to "play" with airsoft but I've played with paintball with friends before and it was really fun.
You can't imagine because you, like 90% of the other paintballers in this thread, has only played with shitty $20 airsoft guns.
I did a test, not to long ago, to see if AirSoft actually does hurt. Alot. 1) Grab brother. 2) Stuff brother into storage container with like 3 conforters. 3) Shoot at brother with a (clear) CO2 pistol. -Notice brother promptly jumps out of the container runs away crying- 4) Profit?
You're a douchbag.
This may be so, but he was a willing participant and it was funny as hell.
hey, at least you're not a douchebag

And field limits around here can go as high as 500 FPS for AEGs. I dare you to come here and get shot by one at normal range and say it doesn't hurt.
I wish Canada had those big battlefields they have for airsoft. They got Humvee's with mini guns on them and all kinds of realistic stuff
Those places take a lot of money and manpower to work, not to mention the land needs to be found for it. I am sure some group of Canadians will find a way to make it work up there.
I put so much money into it because its a great hobby and its fun, so in my mind (and as a former paintballer) I feel that the investment is totally worth it. As for the military attraction? I suppose that's mostly taste. Being a gunfag/guy who could name a tank on sight (inb4 "get laid nerde"), I enjoy being able to ride around in a HMMWV turret shooting at guys dressed as insurgents (Or dressing as an insurgent and blowing up a HMMWV with a LAW, and watching an entire enemy convoy come to a grinding halt, that's fun too). Though the Army does sort of allow us to play with their toys as a recruitment tool, they put no pressure on you to join or anything, they have as much fun as we do.
Alright, I see your point. I don't see it, but a nerd like you (kidding, I'm no better) could find things like that fun, I guess. It could be at least mildly entertaining.
We play MilSim airsoft because it's fun, not because we plan or want to join the military. We have an interest such things, is that so horrible?
I never said anything about joining the military, just that going all Commando doesn't seem like something I'd want to do in order to shoot my friends and mess around. I like the quick set-up, and easy enter into a game.
If I'm going to shoot my friends, I'll do it in style. And what do you mean by "mildly" entertaining? I'd love to do something like that. You get to have fun while training the local law enforcement/national military.

I was trying to prove that they did infact hurt, not the otherway around.
I think paintball is way more fulfilling, and just about the same price as airsoft.
Buy airsoft any day. These babies also help when trying to prove you hit your target, it's also kinda like paintball airsoft style http://www.speedytoys.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=50
:cough:
Not all airsoft guns have to be Co2 you know, spring guns are just as powerful
I don't think many people like to wash out colours when they get hit.
I wish Canada had those big battlefields they have for airsoft. They got Humvee's with mini guns on them and all kinds of realistic stuff
Trust me, we've got our share of big games. Go on AirsoftCanada.com and read around. You need to be 18+ for most games though.
I've found paintball to be a lot of fun, especially when the games include objectives like taking hold of a fort or "disarming" a bomb.
you can do that in airsoft, too

Especially if your field has ref's. [editline]03:35PM[/editline]
you can do that in airsoft, too
It's usually more intense too.
Shooting and target practice with a Paintball gun is a lot funner than Airsoft. Sure firing my TM P90 and revolver is fun, but the recoil and noise produced by a paintball gun makes it much more enjoyable. Not to mention that the paintballs have a more destructive force on your target, since they have more mass.
Paintball is so much more fun.
