Paintball is funner in my opinion. It hurts a lot more!
I really have to ask, why do all the paintball players think pain = fun. Like I said before I can guarantee hitting my scrotum with a mallet would hurt tremendously but that is not fun. Oh and its more fun not funner
Paintball is funner in my opinion. It hurts a lot more!
This fact also depends on the circumstances. In the US, field limits can reach up to 350 FPS for AEGs and 500 for springers. Where I play, the national limit is 550 FPS (I got it wrong the first time) for everything. Field limits may be lower but mine goes up to 450FPS and that's in CQB. Come on down here and get shot by something of that power and tell me it doesn't hurt. Now for some actual science: From the way I see it, from paintball you get bruises and from Airsoft you get welts. Ergo, paintball is like getting punched really hard, while Airsoft is like getting pinched really hard. Both actions generate the same amount of pain.
" which one is better airsoft or paintball" Gtfo. Causing flame wars and shit.

Would you rather have this? Or this? :smug:
Neither because tacticool AK's make me want to kill a small child.
The second line about 500 FPS was directed at paintballers saying that paintball hurts more and you can't feel anything in Airsoft. Sorry for the misunderstanding. My field has a 450 FPS limit but only because it's CQB. Knowing that there are two holes in the back of my vest caused by 330 FPS isn't very reassuring.
Ah, it's all cool dude. But yeah, that kind of stuff makes you think twice about being stingy when buying a ~$20 vest.

Tactical AK's are great. At least you can mount a decent sight or an M203 (I believe it can be done? correct me if I am wrong).
Tactical AK's are great. At least you can mount a decent sight or an M203.
No. Both can be mounted without the use of RIS rails, without making your AK look like a pile of poop.
Airsoft is great because it gives a false sense of realism, plus you get cool shit like EOTech and ACOG sights Paintball is basically good old arcade shoot each other action. It's messy and you welt easily but if you're not a pansy you'll be fine. You can also go plinking with airsoft guns if you're bored. Technically you can with a paintball gun but it's more pricey and you leave obvious marks There isn't a need to be serious with either as well. A lot of local airsoft arenas and paintball arenas are full of people who aren't pro and at least at the airsoft place close to me, very friendly.
Best post in the thread.
How the balls did you get DM sticky grips on that?
It's just a Dye Sticky grip. Not mine either, though it's fun to dream.

:smug:
You're really bad at this. You should've posted a full metal/real wood AK or M14.
If I was just buying the gun it's 200-250ish, if it's everything it's more likely going to be up to 400-500.
I cannot recommend G&G because every friend I have who bought G&G has had some problem with theirs within 2 weeks, whether it be gear lockups, or feed errors. Their stock hopup sucks, and mag wobble on armalites are beyond horrible, but those are problems a lot of high end armalites have and people who buy them know to expect and and replace the subpar parts. ( the exception being tokyo marui which is undoubtably the best stock gun you can buy). G&G is also lacking in wiring and motor. With about 200 dollars you can buy some pretty decent clones. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_164&products_id=3169 A&K makes some pretty niace armalites for your price range. The only thing you may have trouble with is the stock battery. They are harder to find than normal stick batteries, and can have problems if handled to rough in the stock. A&K is nice enough to include a battery and charger for you. Upgrades I would recommend is a red dot scope, which is absolutely necessary in darker situations. As with most guns, a tightbore and a hopup would be an effective relatively easy upgrade (no need to open the gearbox). You can also use your left over money to get a couple of magazines. MAG midcaps are in my experience decent for the price. If you want gear, you probably want a vest. I suggest a ciras + pouches. A good budget brand is condor, also known as OE tech. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=4209 This is a good set. My opinion on the most important combat gear are, in order form most to least. Kneepads, Drop pouch, boots, gloves. Especially in outdoors, kneepads, boots, and gloves will help your mobility a lot. In airsoft, danger often comes from the environment where you are playing; falls, cuts, and broken bones occur a lot more often than the dreaded bb in eye. Drop pouch is already in the plate carrier set if you choose to get it. Kneepads allow you to kneel basically anywhere with ease and minimal pain to your knees. Another important thing you need is eyesafety. Get an new set of ESS goggles off ebay for about 20-30 dollars. ESS are real steal, used by many military personal. From what I heard, many of the goggles on sale on ebay are from military personal who bought the goggles but did not have to use them. I have these ones http://cgi.ebay.com/New-ESS-Profile-NVG-Goggles-clear-dark-LOW-RESERVE_W0QQitemZ110505935154QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item19baaac132 You have to rinse the lens after each game and make sure you never touch the lens. [editline]11:51PM[/editline]
You're really bad at this. You should've posted a full metal/real wood AK or M14.
That is a full metal ak. It has metal where the real one does and plastic where the wood usually is.

Urrghh one of these threads.. Maybe I should just stay away before I explode in a fit of bile and rage.. I'll at least leave some helpful advice, Zombii. These people are giving you shit advice, the first thing you want to ask is what kind of paintball do you want to play? In the woods now and again or every weekend? Do you maybe want to progress to tournament paintball? I started off in the woods and eventually found the tournament scene, I didn't buy my first marker until I got into tournament but it would have pissed me off If I'd bought some supposed to look alike ak47 piece of shit then had to sell it before I got into tourney ball (Because they will just laugh you out). If you want to get into woods then move to tourney buy an electro marker by a wellknown company that is still in business, just ask around at your local field and shoot some guns before you buy one. Think about what you're spending your money on, never go for frivolous bullshit upgrades and always..always preserve the packaging and look after your gear to the best of your abilities so you can sell it on in the future. On the bullshit upgrades...well if we're talking milsim guns a red dot may look cool with the foregrip and the metal buttstock but the guy across the field with the bone stock tippmann 98 that doesn't weight an extra 12lbs is going to cap you in the face. Never ever ever be cheap about your goggles, because you're being cheap about your eyes and they can't be replaced. Your lenses can! Oh and guys we paintballers like the pain because of something called Risk vs Reward. That's why it's enjoyable, You risk a shitload of pain for a big payoff and the pain also makes people play seriously.. I've got hundreds of welts from paintball..I'm staring at a fat scabby sucker on my arm right now. Legal limit is 300fps for a paintball gun. Bbs bounce that's why they hurt. If bbs were paint it would be like a fly landing on you, it hurts because energy is transferred to you then back off you to propel the bb in another direction. Paintballs burst and most of the energy dissapates but with the high mass it means more pain. I can't think of anything else all of you just shut up. There's a big Tourney vs Woods divide in paintball and that divide has been killing this sport for years, why everyone can't just shut up and let everyone else enjoy their own thing I will never know. That pic made me cry.. I miss my Ego7 =(
What G&G guns did they have? I have a G&G M14 and its fucking amazing. Fixed. (yes I like showing off my M14)
Perfection.
What G&G guns did they have? I have a G&G M14 and its fucking amazing.
G&G m14 is actually one of their better guns. The G&G m14 is their only gun I'd recommend. I have had one friend who bought a G&G mp5 only to have the gearbox lock up in less than 2 weeks. Another had a m4, which I used. It mag actually dropped out of the gun while I was running because the magwell was so loose. I have many friends who are professional airsoft technicians not to mention I've taken apart my gun and my friend's guns many times.
Neither, I don't like Egos or tacticool Aks. But this marker here is . [editline]12:44AM[/editline] My loadout: SP vibe, with invert too loader, and a pure energy 48 cu tank. Shame of what's happening to Smart Parts, their Vibes and SP1's where awesome.
What G&G guns did they have? I have a G&G M14 and its fucking amazing. Fixed. (yes I like showing off my M14)
How much did you get that M14and where did you get yours I have been trying to get a good priced one for a long ass time.
Airsoft is cheaper, doesn't hurt as much, and in my opinion the people who play airsoft are nicer and more comfortable to be around than in the atmosphere of paintball. Also airsoft allows way more attachments, upgrades, and accessories than paintball does. The only thing about paintball that I find better than airsoft is that it's a little more popular, since airsoft is a relatively newer sports than paintball. Another thing is that you can't really cheat in paintball. Once you're shot you usually have paint on you, which is an obvious hit. In airsoft you have a better chance of getting away with cheating. But the refs can still catch you.
@oyotnas I'm Canadian so it was $700 or so. I got it from Airsoftcanada.com
This is my Babe: It weights over 650 grams and fire 6mm bb's at 160 meters per second. It costs one reload to fire this weapon... ...one time. But hell, it's fully metal, cheap and safety switch, grip safeswitch and slide stop is fully functional!
What brand is that, and how did you get that sexy weathering? Looks like a WE 1911 to me, but to me pretty much all of the 1911s look the same :D
@oyotnas I'm Canadian so it was $700 or so. I got it from Airsoftcanada.com
WOW that is a lot I found one for like $120
If you play pump, I applaud you.
I don't yet. Going to get a Phantom soon to save money and because Phantoms are just awesome. Not in pink though, somebody at my field already uses a pink one. Probably Orange/Black or Green/Silver acid wash. Though, Pink guns = Awesome. Also- Cheating in Paintball is called Wiping and it is exactly what its name suggests, you literally wipe the paint off of you to avoid being called out. You have to be honest it both sports, stop saying paintball is cheat-proof. I for one play the bounce at a field with no refs :smug:. [sp]Probably because they'll bonus ball the shit out of me if I don't[/sp]
In airsoft you have a better chance of getting away with cheating. But the refs can still catch you.
It is very hard for anyone to see a hit. It all comes down to honesty in both sports. Are you playing for fun? or are you playing to win? (or playing because you want to get hit and get off to pain)
Harder to lie in paintball, but it does often, called wiping. It's frowned upon.
WOW that is a lot I found one for like $120
That why I said, I'm Canadian. We have to pay way more here. Plus the wood kit and scope was extra.
