Airsoft vs. Paintball - General

Paintball is fun. But it is bit more pricier than airsoft.

Besides, it's not hard to cheat in paintball. There's a reason they wear those slick suits, it's so the paint just slides right off. Now I bet their excuse is so they can clean it easier after the game, but I play on a paintball-airsoft field. I'm an airsofter but we play side by side on different fields, and I can see the paintballers playing. I've seen them wipe off paint. Also, there are the occasional group of 4 or 5 12 year old that show up. If I see them get hit and they don't call it (You can see the BB's bouncing off or them flinching when they get hit, also can hear it) I make them... ...at gunpoint.

One time I was at this party and i didnt have my shirt on, and this guy takes out his Airsoft sniper rifle and p90, blasts me in the knee with the rifle, then penetrates me with his p90 in my chest. Had a lot of welts the next day.

Most people don't understand what airsoft really is. Lots have only seen the [URL="http://dun.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/p2135792dt.jpg"]crappy clear guns[/URL] that idiots use in their backyard that don't hurt. I've played paintball for 2 years and airsoft for 3 and I can safely say that the pain is pretty close. Although I don't see why people like one over the other "because it hurts more". Paintball is not an option around here, im afraid. The last shop that fills CO2 canisters closed up shop last week.

To be honest I play both paintball and airsoft, and I must say that although paintball usually hurts worse, at close range airsoft can be much more painful, since there is a chance the bb's could break the skin (and they have on me before).

Airsoft is really fun when you play with good people. There is always these douchebags at my paintball field who go on saturdays with Angels and look all sponspored and shit, and then precede to join someone's 12th birthday and whoop they're Rental-gun asses.

I personally like paintball better but airsoft is good for Ruger 10/22s.

Paintball is messy and for little kids. Airsoft is better because you don't have bigass rainbow colored tents and shit everywhere.

I've killed some people with a sub-rental gun.

I have a shitty $30 airsoft gun, and then my brother has one of those $300 AK-47s. Right now, I'm debating whether or not to get into paintball or airsoft. Paintball is what some of my friends at school play, and I know some good paintball places, but then airsoft is cool too, but the only people I know who are into airsoft are my bro's college friends.

That means that welts are gonna be worse and those 300 FPS guns are gonna hurt like a bitch.

Yeah airsoft can hurt a decent amount in CQB. I've gotten quite a few bleeders in my games.

Also, if you do airsoft, Goggles are mandatory, but also get something to cover your neck and mouth. My friend had one of his from teeth broken in half from an airsoft bb.

One of the biggest reasons I stopped playing paintball is that the guns looks retarded. I know there are guns you can get that are 'realistic' but they still are usually not that realistic. I like that all good airsoft guns are 1:1 with real guns.

I tell you this, after spending several hundred bucks on airsoft gear and guns, it is the only thing I can see myself doing on the weekends.

I like to play paintball more just because I find it more fun. Plus all the shit you can do to your gun is really good, sure you can do the same with airsoft but it doesn't leave marks, plus it's easy to say that when you say "Hey I shot you!" They can't really argue back with a big fucking paint mark on there cloths, plus getting head shots with paint balls is pretty cool

You think there's a lot you can do to a paintball gun? It's a really simple device. Compared to what you can do to an airsoft gun, both internally [I]and[/I] externally, you can't really do anything to a paintball gun. But yeah, I can see why it would be more fun seeing your paintballs burst downrange. But that's hardly enough to make up for all the other reasons I [I]don't[/I] play paintball.
