paintball is less realistic airsoft is really silly so it's lose lose until you realize they are both games and it doesn't matter if you have fun
Here's my Airsoft GI G4-A5.(With custom two-tone!) That red dot looks kinda cheap and doesn't flow with the gun too well IMO. A EOtech would look nice I think.
I have my g36c but its to dark to take a pic now, I updated it with a grip and a ACOG scope so now its totally bad-ass. I went 15 Frag to 1 Death with it. And silencers are not useful when airsoft has no muzzle flash or much sound so dont pay extra for one :D.

Most people find that silencers do muffle some sound but usually not that much so most just buy them for looks.
It is fucking beyond me why you guys think airsoft is more realistic than paintball. You obviously have no fucking clue what you are talking about.

well with airsoft you can have a full metal visual replica of an actual gun, but thats like just my opinion man

One of those is a real 1911 by the way.
Paintball: The guns aren't 1:1 with any real guns, and couldn't pass as a real gun anywhere, even if they are one of those "replica" paintball guns (not a replica, just a rough lookalike), they have CO2 tanks strapped to gun/back and massive hoppers sticking out the top. Paintballs have a make range of like 100 feet without lobbing them into the air. Airsoft: Accurate 1:1 replica guns. Realistically weighted. Looks and feels like the real gun. Realistic gear. Realistic magazines. Large scale operations, as in over a large area not a lot of people. 90% of airsoft guns operate in a near exact same manner as the real gun. You can have realistic scenarios and military operations. Higher end airsoft guns will have an insane range, and do not violate an FPS limit. I could take a $120 airsoft gun, spend an extra $40 on it and voila, long range airsoft gun. There's a reason the military switched from paintball to airsoft for training.
There's a reason the military switched from paintball to airsoft for training.
I can back this up. I act as an OpFor for training Army recruits. [editline]02:40AM[/editline]
(not a replica, just a rough lookalike)
Rough is putting it lightly. Apparently slapping an M4 handgaurd and stock on a Tippman counts as making a "Replica"
ITT: Airsofters
They're both good. Airsoft for milsim, paintball for more trigger happy fun Tomorrow I'm attending an event in Illinois expecting 400-500 players.
Sigh..I mean I'm not going to stomp all over you. But I'll post some pictures paintball guns that are specifically designed to look real. http://www.milsimproducts.com/cart.php?target=product&mode=image&product_id=2328&image_id=0 As you can see the paintballs are clip fed so you can mount sights or whatever the fuck you want to mount. There are a few good makers of milsim paintball guns but I don't really feel like looking for them (I don't play for "realism"). Stop stopping all over us paintballers :c
That does not look very realistic to me. Can you mount a real steel front end? And its fun 'stopping' on you.

Do you even know what a real M4 looks like? That's one ugly piece of shit. I'd rather paintballers not even try, and use their laser blaster looking things with hoppers and Co2 tanks than see people walking around with that. [editline]6:47[/editline] Seriously what were these paintball gun makers on when they designed these things?
Umm guys if you think paintball is more realistic stop smiking your weed and sober up THEN look at the difference its HUGGGGGGGE
Paintballing hurts so much, I have a permanent mark on my hand from being shot point blank.

If you want to run around with a blue gun that looks like something from another planet while wearing a bright yellow jersey, fine by me.
Paintballing hurts so much, I have a permanent mark on my hand from being shot point blank.
And I have permanent airsoft scars
I love how your name is Tippman and you come to airsoft's defence...
I love how your name is Tippman and you come to airsoft's defence...
Where do you see airsoft defense?
As long as I have fun, I really don't care what these look like. But I would rather use a realistic weighted-and-looking gun over a 'laser blaster' any day. And really, does it matter that you have scars from either? This is a debate about which you like, not how much they hurt. ..which could be hand-in-hand.
Yeah so you both have awesome wicked ass scars, that makes your "sport" more bad ass, right? So it therefor better, right? I'm super lazy and don't feel like digging up good milsim guns. Have fun with your airsoft guns that sound about as scary as a wind up doll. [editline]02:55AM[/editline] Yeah so you both have awesome wicked ass scars, that makes your "sport" more bad ass, right? And paintball guns can be realistic, but it would most likely make it less strong or the whatnot, and the majority are really just pieces of plastic and metal that serve their purpose.
Where do you see airsoft defense?
Apparently it hurting more counts as a plus around here.
Apparently it hurting more counts as a plus around here.
Apparently stating a fact that doesn't denounce either side isn't understandable around here
