Catholic.
In all honesty though, I have thought and thought about where dinosaurs would fit into the bible and still haven't came to the conclusion of how they would. Although we do have museums packed with dino skeletons and shit and we know for a fact that they were real. Atheist fo sho.
Islam no not the Islam you see on TV where they portray CULTURE and BELIEVE as the same thing, but the real Islam who believes in non violence gender equality and treating all with respect and kindness
Gender equality?! ... fucking... *facepalm* [editline]11th April 2011[/editline]
[img_thumb]http://www.jeffhanover.com/_/rsrc/1274802873458/Home/trollface.jpg[/img_thumb]

Fuck your fence sitting. They claimed that the earth would be about 6000 years old and that humans and dinosaurs lived together. When the 'great flood' came all creatures, but the ones you see today, would have drowned and only the intelligent/quick ones survived. We had some action then going on where we all returned these leaflets to the ones who had spread them; at first they were happy with the news since they could reuse them, of course they quickly wiped that smug grin off their face when they heard we weren't going to return them in a good state and we would scribble shit on it or tear them apart before sending them back. [editline]...[/editline] Found a source, sorry it's in Dutch: http://www.terugnaarjemaker.nl/. The title of the page would roughly translate back to: 'Back to your creator'. Here you see those leaflets being spread and the counter action. Evolution or Creationism:
To have a religious belief does not necessarily mean to follow a religion. E.g. I can believe that there is a God but I have no interest in bible I see no reason to go to church or walk up to random people and say "I WILL PRAY FOR YOU NONBELIEVER, JESUS LOVES YOU HURR".
Gender equality?! ... fucking... *facepalm*
Yes gender equality do you have anything to add? [editline]11th April 2011[/editline] I promise I won't flame
My own religeon, I believe in god but I don't subscribe to a religeon.. I believe they are all paths to the same place.. Spiritual Enlightenment (maybe not christianity), besides that each religeon are just books of morals and crazy stories. I try to take teachings from all places but that aside reality is subjective therefore so is god. What interests me is the blending of eastern and western teachings, buddism, taoism etc I really don't get cross religeous contempt though, god is a god is a god. I think it's more about loving yourself and giving yourself upto faith in yourself and in others and maintaining a clearer form of conciousness and being secure in yourself trusting whatever happens if you act right is what was meant to happen..it's a much chiller or zen way of thinking. In terms of the afterlife.. I just see heaven and hell as nearness or distance to god and that's what i believe it was always meant to mean, people take things at literal and face value and spiritually it's much subtler and harder to comprehend than that I think and besides, when your dead your dead and when your dead you can't worry about where your going. Then again i'm a believer of Karma, what goes around comes around..swings and roundabouts and all that bullshit but I wouldn't stretch as far to say i believe in karmic rebirth, then again who knows eh?
Yes gender equality do you have anything to add? [editline]11th April 2011[/editline] I promise I won't flame
Sharia is FULL of laws specific to either men or women, I don't know whose ass you pulled "gender equality" out of.
I'm Atheist but I respect those of any religion.
Gotta love people who rate contra-factually and don't say why...
I'm a Christian. why is this in Drug Discussion?
Sharia is FULL of laws specific to either men or women, I don't know whose ass you pulled "gender equality" out of.
What don't you get about CULTURE and BELIEVE thats like if I said Christians all believe in raping little boys, do you see the difference? Just because the people who believe in the religion do it it doesn't mean that the religion promotes it. "I shall not lose sight of the labor of any of you who labors in My way, be it man or woman; each of you is equal to the other (3:195)"
Agnostic/Deist I believe there could be a higher power (or powers), and if he exists, then all he did was set the universe in motion, then sat back and watched everything.
I'm a Christian. why is this in Drug Discussion?
Because of the huge spiritualistic aspect to drugs. Personally I have not experienced it, but many people do on drugs like LSD and shrooms. Also, in a lot of cultures, drugs were used quite a lot in spiritual/religious rituals, so it also has connotations there.
oh wait, old thread

The interpretation of it is, but that doesn't change the fact that it demands different things from men and women. That is not gender equality. With regards to your citation, it doesn't say that men or women are equal in all aspects, only in that they are equally rewarded if they follow the way of Allah, which does differ between men and women, as you would know if you didn't cherry-pick that part and read the actual Sharia laws.

Science. We live in simulation, so if you know how this simulation works, then you will live good. I am Atheist, and I don't believe into simulation, but that is how I imagine science as an religion (even if it is not)
