You need more motion to that blast. Make the whole thing press down a little and maybe roll backwards.

Update on this one. Fixed the face & outlines, cut the hastily drawn body out, remixed the hair and added some Anti-aliasing.
Use construction lines next time, his face is poorly shaped

this is my first time trying to animate anything so it's sorta just incentive to practice for me, and i'm doing it with photoshop, and it's hard. :(

I like your style, K00lwhip. The part I think needs to be improved is the blades of grass. The way how you have single blades of grass that connect to the ground bugs me. Put in some smaller blades at the bases to thicken it up a little bit. This will make the white grass not be composed out of single blades which you don't want because the width of a pixel is thicker that they would be at that distance.
Also are you using photoshop to draw this?
I support using ms paint, but I'll let this slide ;)
Uh, paint is horrible at anything involving animation.
If anything he should refrain from even thinking about using it.

I'm using Ms paint to draw the backgrounds and my sprites.
as for the animation, i animate in photoshop.
I try to keep it as traditional as possible.
so yeah everything is intricately hand carved out of ms. paint, and i put frames together in photoshop
short answer: i'm using mspaint. :3: after all it is the name of the section.
