and now it's fixed!
my next challenge is trying to utilize the least amount of colours
K00lwhip, regardless these are beautiful.
short answer: i'm using mspaint. :3: after all it is the name of the section.
Ah, my bad. It's just that it looked like you used lowered opacity to accomplish the glow around the flames.

You sly dog, you
You sly dog, you
I would do the opacity effect in paint like on the trees and stuff....
but that would literally take me 10x more time and effort than it already is taking me... aha.
yay for summer.

I have no idea what I even.
It's supposed to be abe from abe's odysee, but oh my god it just ugh.
He's a bitch to draw, he's like yellow green purple and blue in places, plus lighting.
I'm so sorry abe, what have I done to you :(

The lighting on this image starts at the chest and feet, then works its way in both directions. The head is not hit by direct light, it is underglowed by radiant light coming from his chest
Abe is hueshifted in this image, start with a bit bright slightly saturated yellow then shift down to green while lowering the brightness and saturation, do this again while shifting to blue then purple in areas that are not backlighted by the other blue light. The areas in blue light are gonna be tricky to blend into the rest of the sprite so you're gonna need some more colours to make them feel like they're a part of it.
Overall this is a hard to draw image, I also suggest that you disregard anatomical proportions as he is an alien, don't try to make him look human when he isn't.

There's some banding created by the vest highlights, might wanna fix that.
(Most of the images in this post are scaled down.)
The first four drawings were for perspective training. I was learning how to turn 2D drawings into correct 3D drawings. The conversion from 2D to 3D could be done so at any angle, distance, depth, or scale. However, the process to do so was too long and tedious, so I stopped midway through the 3D portion. I'm only posting the 2D images.

All little head drawing I threw together.

The next two images are some sketch drawings I did when my internet went out for several weeks, and I was bored out of my mind. (Not having a life is a sad case)

(Lego ain't got nothing on my hands. Not very good with hands and feet, sorry) :P
In the last two images I took the two character sketches on the far right of the previous image and tried to color them in GIMP. They're very messy, but I tried.

Nice!
Regarding the gimp images, you shouldn't use brushes at such a low setting, also the females face should be rounder and softer
tough post to follow up, but here's a WIP shot of a reflexology panel :v:

Constructing a box in one-point perspective that's:
-1 x 1 x 1 feet
-1 foot to the left
-8 feet away
with a light source that's:
-4 feet to the left
-11 feet away
-2.5 feet off the ground
where your eye is:
-8 feet away from the box
-3 feet off the ground

Yes, all for a stupid box and shadow. I'll do one for two-point perspective as well.

Just made this for some guy in the "Can someone draw me this symbol?" thread.
-confusing stuff-
Holy shit.
Constructing a box, light source, and shadow in two-point perspective. The grid plane is rotated 10 degrees.

I haven't started the learning process on three-point perspective because I am still learning the full ins and outs of one-point and two-point perspective.
Damn Ausare, what do you do for a living? D:
your art is drawn so precisely, my attention span would go ''NOPE'' at like drawing the horizon line
