Hey, was it ever confirmed by ANYONE who isn't Doc Scratch that the [img_thumb]http://www.mspaintadventures.com/storyfiles/hs2/scraps/greensun.gif[/img_thumb]takes away the first guardian's powers? If it's true, we could be dooming thousands of other universes we don't know about who have first guardians. Also, Doc Scratch isn't the most trustworthy guy. This is what makes the kids' session stand out so much: Not because that they're no playing by the rules, but because they're actively saying "fuck you" to paradox space by trying to remove a static element that helps paradox space to reproduce. The exists outside normal space and time and provides power to all First Guardians past, present, and future. If Rose successfully destroys it, all First Guardians will be rendered mortal and powerless, which hinders the growth of sentient species capable of seeding and makes it incredibly difficult for new paradox space to create new universes. Her actions will affect all universes, not just ours and the trolls', and makes their session one of the most important ones.
Also because Rose and Dave noted that the Horrorterrors were crying out for help, and Rose said that they're being slaughtered. Bec Noir could easily have been bored and started to slice them up as well as the people in the Incipisphere. The Horrorterrors are static throughout all sessions as well, so their deaths would have affected everything too.

I don't think Bec Noir could take on hundreds of giant tentacle monsters that exsist outside of space and time.
Now that I think about it, since becoming Bec Noir, has Jack actually attacked anyone who wasn't either unarmed or asleep?
I thought it was the big monster thingy that employed mr green that was killing the horrorterrors.

But then after I have the idea, I may immediately think of something that's kind of similar from another work. I may then modify the idea to make it more reminiscent of that thing, if I feel like solidifying that particular reference.
This is basically exactly how I come up with inspiration

Thing is, we don't know if they're saved/dead/not dead yet.
They might very well die.
Since they exist outside of our time, from our point of view, they can't be alive at one moment and dead at another. It just doesn't work.

So what I've gathered so far is that Jack Noir from the humans' session becomes Bec Noir and Jack Noir from the troll universe somehow ends up as Spades Slick (you see him at the terminal with his injured arm and eye inflicted by sn0wman's whip, who I am guessing is the black queen that Karkat helped him exile). This is assuming the Midnight Crew is actually related to the story.

You hit it dead on, this is correct.

I'm expecting it will involve the hatching of the matriorb.
There's just one thing that's been bugging me:
Jack Noir from the troll universe gets a scar on his eye and his arm cut off.
These are the same injuries John's sprite had.
Coincidence? No way.
But how? There must be some kind of connection between the universes we don't know about yet, or I must've missed something.

It's also the same injuries Vriska suffered, the same injuries the doll John was trying to prototype for Jade had, and I'm sure at least one other character I'm forgetting.

That's because of the Queen's ring. When the ring is put on by one of the characters, they change to match the prototypings the characters have used. That's why the Black Queen in the troll session didn't want to wear it after they prototyped a frog.

You're missing the point. Chronologically, the trolls' session came before the kids' but some elements from the kids' session became temporally static and ended up in the trolls' session. The kids prototyped various things from around their houses, John with a one-eyed, one-armed harlequin doll and his deceased grandmother/mother. Rose with her dead cat and another doll, Dave with a dead bird and himself, and Jade with Earth's First Guardian and herself. While the prototypings certainly do affect the residents of the Incipisphere, there are resemblances that are completely unrelated and uncanny.
The one-armed, one-eyed prototyping aspect is from John, and this applies to the underlings of Derse. Any resemblance resulting from this prototyping is traced back to John's Kernelsprite. But when John was trying to prototype Jade's Kernelsprite, he used a blue doll that was also missing an arm and an eye, like his was. In the trolls' universe, completely unconnected to the kids yet, when Vriska's magic cue ball exploded, she lost her eye and arm. Spades Slick and Sn0wman were exiled long before the session they came from was over, and so they don't know about the kids and when Snowman damaged Slick's eye and severed his arm, it was completely unrelated to the initial entity that featured these attributes: the harlequin doll, AKA John's Kernelsprite.
So a bunch of people from all across time and space exhibited the same features as one person's tier-one prototyping, and this seems like an awfully large coincidence if it is just a coincidence.

That's because it's the Jack Noir from the kids' session. It still hasn't been explained how he broke into the troll's universe, but from what they've shown it probably has something to do with the scratch.
[editline]21st January 2011[/editline]
I haven't seen any prototypings from the kids' session showing up in the trolls' session besides on Jack Noir, but again, that's because he broke in, assumedly through the scratch.

I'm confused as to what you're trying to say. Because Sburb is a single, static game that changes and adapts based on its players, the game's template is the same. Two sessions: one for the humans, one for the trolls. One Jack Noir in each. In the kids' session, Jack slays the Black Queen and takes her Ring of Orbs Fourfold, attaining the features of John's harlequin doll. This makes sense. The Jack Noir in the trolls' session teamed up with Karkat and Gamzee to exile the Black Queen to Alternia, then was exiled himself when Terezi and Vriska teamed up with Sn0wman to finish the job so Snowman could take revenge for the regisurp. This Jack became Spades Slick, and he never had a ring to prototype himself with, as both rings in the trolls' session were destroyed. Even if he did prototype himself with it, he still wouldn't show the one-eyed, one-armed features that Bec Noir does; he'd have the attributes of the Lusus-prototyped sprites of the trolls, like the Black King. On Alternia, Snowman ripped off his arm after stabbing him in the eye, which made him look like John's first prototyping. The thing is that both Jacks haven't made any communication between each other. Bec Noir somehow entered the trolls' session through the Scratch, but supposedly that was a result of the kids' doing and is unrelated to Slick's resemblance.

Both have one eye lost and one arm lost, but are in completely different universes altogether and are only connected by their name.

Wow, I never realized how similar those two pictures are. Even having read homestuck as many times as I have, I miss these little references and callbacks still. This is perhaps what I love most about it.
Blar could anyone post that one wallpaper with the horrorterrors and the medium in a bubble?
I can't find the darn thing
