The thing is that when you do that, you're bringing the worst part of the community, one even WE openly mock, and putting it up in the thread as an example of the kind of fanbase the comic has. When people who aren't part of the fanbase look at these threads, their perception of us is shaped based on pictures more than anything else. That's why the OP is loaded up with interesting pictures.
If we post stuff like that, even to mock it, it just hurts the perception others have of us. And even worse, at a certain point, we stop mocking 'bad' and it becomes the norm to actually like things that are bad 'ironically'. As George Orwell so eloquently wrote, "He wears a mask, and his face grows to fit it."
TL;DNR: Posting shitty or disturbing art may be funny, but it represents us badly.
