On the topic of blood, it seems to me that the "value" of blood starts at purple and goes around clockwise (assuming you're looking at the color wheel chart).

People cheered for Tavros, Feferi, and Kanaya's deaths. People will cheer for Nepeta's, Karkat's, Sollux's, Terezi's, Eridan's, Vriska's, Gamzee's, and Aradia's deaths. I don't know why Equius would be an exception.
Some people just really hate specific characters.

I would be pretty hardcore disappointed in Homestuck if Equius killed Nepeta. Anyone else I could probably live with (killing Nepeta, or Equius killing). Come on, though. It would totally ruin his character for me, and he's in my top 3. It would be way worse than anything the Tavros, Feferi, or Kanaya fans had to sit through. Fef didn't go down killing Sollux. Kanaya didn't die after destroying the Matriorb.

Problem Sleuth says a couple things throughout the MSPA, they just aren't in quotes because it's narrated in the second person.
