I hope that Terezi talks to Equius sometime soon so she knows what's going on. She can't talk to Karkat because Karkat blocked her when Gamzee found her glasses, and Equius is the only other one that knows what's going on.

Is it possible that maybe Karkat's element being blood has something to do with this? Kanaya's is space so there's no reason that she'd just become undead, and Gamzee is still in the abyss so he couldn't have done anything.
But Karkat was shown kissing Kanaya and not Feferi, and now Kanaya is up and about drinking blood and taking names.
