I just realized the last few pages have been mirroring the style of the Eridan murder pages. With the background styles and the blood color themes.
I also just realized that that it was like that in "[S] Wake." too when Vriska kills Tavros. I guess it may be an indicator of imminent murder.

Humor would be Equius and Gamzee getting into a 1/2 bow fight with eachother. This is just horrifying that the biggest bro in the series and the best fighter of the sane people left alive is about to be brutally slaughtered without even a fight.

The story of the trolls is a bit to dark for my taste. I'm interested but there's something fucked up about watching this all play out.

A clown with a biological predisposition towards conquering and murder just came off a multi-year high and is about to murder or at least terrify a shitty archer with his own bow. He's also taking the time to be a melodramatic priss and e-stalk his (ex?) best friend.
That's funny. It's not slaphappy but neither was, I dunno, 70% of the comic thus far. Not every gag can be WV spazzing over consumables.

I can't tell if you tried to make it sound humorous or not. Until the last sentence I didn't even realize you were arguing that it was funny. Maybe if you told someone who knew nothing about homestuck this, they might get a kick out of it, but knowing all the characters, this isn't even close to funny. Just the atmosphere of everything tells you not even Hussie is trying to make this funny.
