It's a typical horror movie thing, we find out how nice the characters really are and then just as we get to know them better they are gone.
Just like how even tough i hate to say it, nepeta will probably be next considering she said "one day i will tell karkat how i feel" and that basicly means "I have hopes and dreams for the future" meaning she'll be dead soon.

It would be a mistake for Hussie to kill Nepeta, imagine the rage of everyone over the first few deaths but multiply that by 10.

That's a good way of putting it, I didn't think of that. That's somewhat my problem with it, it just seems cheap/cliche. Just "here let me make this character more interesting so I can kill them immediately", it provokes a reaction but it's an empty one.

I am sorry but this [B]is[/B] inconsistent as fuck. There wasn't a single real character death for nearly two years, there were established characters, they had some behavior and premises.
Now suddenly they start dropping one by one for reasons which weren't even FORESHADOWED, in absolutely pants on head DURRR ways.
I mean, if they were skirmishing with Jack and dying one by one, OK. If there was one murderous character with enough previous establishment, OK. But this just seems like:
"lol, and then they all died. it was INCREDIBLY sILLY btw. oh and have another hussie self insertion"
Dave's gonna go back in time and kill Gamzee and Vriska so all my favorite trolls can stay alive, right? RIGHT?!
Fuck you Hussie. Comedy is one thing, spending months to get the readers to love the trolls, then killing them off in a serious way like it's nothing is another. I miss Tavros and Equius. :smithicide:
I've liked Homestuck more than any other story I've seen so far in my life, because it's been so well developed and carefully crafted; all the little details and how complex the plot is have really defined it to me. At this point though it's starting to get ridiculous, killing half the cast off in a matter of days and acting like a douche about it on formspring and saying it's just humorous. I'm beginning to slightly dislike Homestuck now after all of this. I knew it was supposed to be funny but I never had any idea the plot was going to completely flatten out like this and get so predictable and cliche. It was kind of funny up to ARE YOU NEXT? page but I think Hussie's just going a little nuts now.

He was a rather deep and interesting character, but Huss just played it off as a joke. It was a massive dick move.
I defended Feferi's death, I defended Tavros' death, I put up with Kanaya's death but this is just 100dicrous, I won't stand for this horsing around.
It's kind of like Where The Red Furn Grows except there's eleven incredibly fucking awesome dogs and they can talk and they're all slowly and brutally killed off by the one, insane, clown worshiping druggie of the bunch who was never really cool, just kind of silly and adorable. And the fanbase are a bunch of sixth graders watching the movie for the first time and bawling their fuckin eyes out and losing all faith in life being fair and nice.
Not saying that the fanbase is made of sixth graders, just this story has turned from all nice to clinical depression rather quickly.
