Dad is pretty fine, but on the other side he's an office rat and has some clown issues. Then there's Grandma who's... Grandma? And Jades Grandpa who made tea sessions with dolls and had creepy collections of photos. (I bet that blue doll was a sex doll anyway)
Good point, Schnitzel. The text seems alright to me, personally. The problem here is keeping the map enjoyable for the unacquainted whilst providing a ton of laughs for those who get it, really - and my extremely limited hammer skills (Which actually might be somewhat helpful here - SBaHJ isn't really known for it's quality. Worst case scenario, i do textures and let someone else handle mapping.)
I was REALLY HOPING that the stump next to the snowball was a sign that either the Jadesprite will either kill jade in a fit of rage, or at least that she will off herself!

That is exactly what makes them interesting characters. There incompetent, so there's room for them to overcome their downfalls, and to learn things about themselves.
John started out as a huge dork, but now he's really starting to mature as a character to fill his role. We can expect to see the same with Jade.

In the beginning Jade was really silly and easygoing, but she's becoming more serious and determined as the story goes on.
