Ok, this Gamzee being actually really powerful is the most shoehorned in thing Andrew has done yet. Are you telling me the collection of Aradia's knowledge in that final summary of the battle with the king just conveniently forgot to mention that Gamzee amazed everyone and did the most damaging attack?

I guess he had to make Gamzee threatening in some way, but really?

Well she didn't really need to say "Oh and vriska was wearing fancy new clothes", just that she made an impossibly lucky roll. World of difference is that vriska was hinted at being godtier since make her pay. Nothing even comes close to a mention about gamzee being the most powerful troll of everyone there, even though apparently everyone saw it and it amazed everyone.

She probably thought that it wasn't important to bring up; from her point of view, her friends defeated the Black King. The mechanics of the King's demise didn't concern her, only the major events she was interested in.
