Mewtwo is my favorite pokemon.

I still watch this on occasion. I may be immature, but I love this movie.

It was actually a really fun card game, took some skill to play and it was a great way to meet new people.

getting charizard was like winning the lottery. i remember my brother and i both bought packs the same day. he got a charizard. i got like...kingler or something. i was so fucking jealous.

I'm not saying that all that stuff wasn't fun, just that it was a gigantic money-making endeavor. Obviously they nailed their target audience, or else we wouldn't have enjoyed it like we did.

I also have pretty much every promotional pokemon league card from beginning to 2000. Even the ones given away at the Pokemon Stadium Tournament they had during the release of the game for N64. Also one day my mom decided she could forge the little star stamps they put in your pokemon badge collectors booklet. She ended up carving a nearly perfect replica of the stamp and I ended up snagging every promo card and badge before everyone else lol.

some kid from my town is like the 7th ranked pokemon trading card game player in the world or something

And to think, Ash has no memory of these events since Mewtwo wiped his mind. Kind of sad in my opinion, but hey. Whatcha gonna do?

I hate it how he wiped his memory. All a waste. :argh:

Watching it now for the first time in 12 years. Is actually a lot more entertaining than I thought it would be. Can't believe they ended up making 12 films! Talk about milking a series...

I remember shedding a tear in the end when Ash died :v:

Apparently I was the only kid in the theater who knew they weren't going to kill off Ash.

I have a sudden urge to watch Pokemon now, Haven't done that in who knows how long.

A few weeks ago, my friends and I had a shindig at another friends house, and pulled an allnighter. We watched the first three movies in a row. A ROW. It was hell. But during the emotional scene with Ash in stone and shit, we were all getting really into it. And then the Dewgong went "goooong", and I literally fell to the ground laughing for some reason.

I remember this movie. I always used to watch the "Ash is dead" scene over and over. I don't know why. I was a troubled kid.
