It seems to be far from finished. Take your time on these, if it takes hours or days to do so, then so be it.

Try to make it look real. I mean at least have a solid box around your WIP
As for the previous picture, I'm not quite sure what's going on with the whole thing, but all I can say is try to use more thick lines here and there. I'm also not sure where along the lines of fear that fits in at.

Time for some sleep.
24 hours left until the deadline, remember that you have to post :siren: FINISHED :siren: when you are done with your picture and that you have to post CC to the picture above if you post your picture, WIP or finished.

Does this look better than the previous one?

I like it better. I don't see how it has much to do with fear, but I still like it, good job. I think you used the white as a shine effect a little too much, like on the dollar sign.

My first attempt at something that isn't 8bit in paint, don't hate me :ohdear:
So it's time now, time to tell you who won...

What can I say? This is probably one of the best mixes of artistic skill and message, because who hasn't been afraid when they lie awake at night, not daring to move a muscle or even take a peek into their room? Truly a masterpiece, it really pushes the boundaries on what is possible to do with a limited palette and the use of light (or lack of?) propels this one to become the winner of this week.
It wasn't a completely clear cut (as always) choice however, Anax were also one that I really thought were a most worthy winner and it also combines both message and artistic skill extremely well, and the use of colours is also truly something not a lot of people can do. But Anax can, and he were almost able to get another win with his picture.
Definiatly one of my newest favourite artists on here for sure!
The third one that were in the competition for the winner is also the newest picture, Portal God. This is probably the most simple picture of the whole bunch and that is also one of its selling factors ; Sometimes simple works the best, and too many unnecessary details surely would bring this one down. Imagine being alone at home, your family/girlfriend/wife/roomies are gone and you're just going to sleep. And then the door opens to your room, and in the light you see a gigantic shadow, not resembling anyone you know. That my friends, is fear.
Got to do this in time this time around so I'll mention a little something about everyone else's too.
Joshua-029, I really like the simplicity in yours and I were actually thinking about making you the winner for a while. Your talk about it being lousy and not worth a look really took it down a notch however, because if you don't believe its worthy of winning ; Then why should I? Take this as a notice everyone, don't talk your picture down to get sympathy. Because you won't, and can even cost you a possible win.
I really like your one Shortyish, creepers are truly something you fear when playing minecraft and there's nothing more startling than you mining, and suddenly hear the SSSSSSS and know that you're probably dead in just a second.
In fact, it's even more scary when you can see it in the distance, slowly getting closer and closer to you and the light. I think this one would've worked as a winner if it were slightly smaller and part of a picture with some more details.
It is a bit hard to make out what you're going for technologic, but you asking what lies in your darkest depths is a good one and the idea you have of eyes watching your biggest fear happening is a good one. I think the use of colours could've been picked better however, it's probably a bit too warm and bright in relation to what you're going after.
Your picture, Livewire2440 is another good idea, walking when it's dark always brings out a creeping fear of something being behind you, and you really did convey that feeling really well with the face in that one. It falls short however because of the style ; Sometimes scrawly style works great, but this time around I think it would've looked a lot better if you had cleaned it up a bit after you had drawn it.
The picture you did Thaard is also pretty confusing, it looks menacing however but I think you are capable of so much better that it feels like this one is sort of half-assed. I checked through your DA and I really enjoy what you've been drawing there, I'm sure I would've crowned you a winner if it were more like your stuff on DA.
What can I say, Nyaa. Slenderman scares the shit out of me and I know it scares the shit out of thousands of people on the internet too, and you really made him scary in your picture by not doing so many details. I would lie if I didn't think you were actually using gray too in that picture and I had to check if that were the case, so a big kudos to you for being able to use the colours as well as you did ; very much like Joshua actually. I think it's kinda confusing however, since slenderman doesn't hurt kids.
You used a pretty interesting colour WastedJamacan, and that hand looks really great. I'm not 100% sure what the fears are however, and I think going less cryptic next time could definiatly get you a look your way when it comes to a winning spot. I know you want to be cryptic and all that when you're in puberty, it does however not work as often as you might want it to work. So let's get more clear the next time and I'm extremely confident you're going to have a winning chance. :)
The next theme is Friendship!
All rules apply so read them, I want to have your work before 3rd of December at noon.

I'll see if I can make something good out of it.
With those colors... I think I have a good idea of what you had in mind when you chose them Gregah. I'll see if I can whip something up.

It is truly an honour to have such an accomplished artist as yourself to visit and leave his mark in a thread you've made.

I said it's an honour to have Smilecytche join this competition, he's probably one of the best MS Paint artists around.

Buddy needs a break at times
Fuck, I failed to finish mine. Too busy with my education at the moment; I am a bit behind schedule now.
Oh shit I completely forgot about this one, I looked at it earlier (around 11:30) and then went on to finish something else.
I'll get a new theme etc up after dinner!
Well there werent really that many people in this weeks competition.
Ah well, the winner of this week...
Congratulations Smilecytche!

It's not often you see Smilecytche draw things that doesn't involve gore in any way, which makes it such a treat when he draws something that is free of gore. It also shows that he is an artist capable of many great things, as shown by the picture above.
I think Bftony would have a great chance if he had finished his piece, but sometimes real life gets in the way and there's nothing you can do about it. I wish you all the luck in getting back on schedule, it sucks when that happens and I hope it doesn't take too long for you to finish up what's delaying you.
I think yours was a good picture that really used the colours to its full potential, I do however think that there is too much negative space going on and it feels like a WIP.
Well then, let's move on with a new theme and a new set of colours.
The next theme is You

You are ONLY allowed to use the colours in the palette, NO black or white this time around.
What I mean with the theme is that you should draw something that is you. It could be a hobby, a political ideology or a self-portrait. It's quite open for intepretion but if you're unsure if what you have in mind is fitting for the theme or not, just ask in the thread.
I'm going to let this one run a bit longer, you will have until The 17th of December to finish this one.
fuuu, no white or black?
not even for a background?
fuuu, no white or black?

Yes, that is correct, no black or white this time
You can always use purewhite and pure black
Nope, this is going to be a challenge which is also one of the reasons it's going to run for two weeks instead of one. We're going to have a short break after this one too (until the next year) so that people can refresh their batteries and because you should spend time with friends and family during the holidays.
