Europe... :(
Lots of people are flying over. If you can manage a cheap flight, or a boat (to the east coast), then you are set.
Nice, a flight from here to Boston is around 300. Time to start mowing lawns, raking leaves, and shoveling driveways

If you hustle, mowing lawns is pretty decent money. In about an hour, maybe an hour and a half, I make $30. That's around $20-$30/hour, then if you include travel time between places, that's around $10-20/hour.
Added the list of musical acts at PAX this year to the OP.
I love Penny Arcade. I've never been able to go, and i don't think i'll be able to go this year either.

Definitely. Minibosses and Joco should also be pretty sweet. My friend wants an autograph from Joco should I get the chance to meet him (My friend is a portal fiend.)

Consider PAX East? It's becoming larger every year and is held in Boston, March 26th-28th.

I was able to get my 3 day pass just recently so easily.
Oh, by the way. I'll down at PAX 2010 a few hours ahead of time. My job with the industry allows me to get in for free. Yay me. If anyone from FP is going to pax, we should meet up sometime during the three days. It would be pretty badass.
i plan on saving up and seeing what happens last minute, if i can find anything cheap that week on craigslist or any other way then i will go, i just dont have any money right now...

You work with the Industry? How-abouts? I'm dying to meet someone from the Industry at PAX, because it's one of the two fields I'm interested in. (My other will be Criminology).

Every year I contact specific sites to team up with me because I had a bit of journalist experience the last few years working for a website that did a bit of local news in Seattle, WA. Most of the time they usually partner with me and all I have to do is just supply them with articles, and some live videos and everything is relayed through their site. A partnership in a sense.
For the most, I run under my own "Upcoming Industry" and I had some help from the guys up in the biz give me some tips as well as talking with a few guys who have been through the in's and out's of the development process for games. So I was able to get a lot of progress that way the last two years. I registered for a media pass sometime last week and I was able to verify and submit my credentials and I got a email a while back saying that I'm good to go.

Nice. Well, congratulations and good luck with your articles. Maybe we can set up a Facepunch meet-up sometime during PAX. Maybe bring a poster and write Facepunch or something on it, and take some pictures.

See how that there's a now "Actual" schedule, I can plan more accordingly. What I'll be doing during the show is at the showfloor, I'll be holding a giant cardboard sign that reads out "Facepunch - "FreeKill". Find me during the show floor and you have just met a person in the industry. (Yeah, sorry mates. no prize for this. I'm a poor son of a bitch). At the most, I can shake hands and meet with members but that's about the most I can do. It would be awesome to actually meet members from the site though, I've always wondered what it is like to see them in person.
FYI : If you guys have any questions for the Q&A or the Keynote speakers, Start posting them down. I'll be attending as many as I can, Just list which event it is for and what day and time and then your question. :D I'll be glad to post up a video, or at least an answer to your question that same day (Later that evening)
I'll be on the lookout for ya, Freekill.
If anyone wants to spot me, I'll (hopefully) be wearing my cardboard Reggie spy mask (that has no eye holes).

You guys can buy Facepunch buttons if you want.

I ordered 10 Facepunch buttons. I'll hand them out to anyone who asks (and knows what the button means). I'll only have 9 to give out though, so... yeah.
Turns out that if you still have your artscow account from the free mousepad thread, you have a ton of credit. This includes
10 free 3" buttons
10 free 2.25" buttons
10 free 1" buttons
This does not cover the PACKS but if you order 10 of them separately and apply the coupon each time, all you will pay is shipping, although it's really cheap already.
If you want anything in-time for PAX, order now. Everything usually takes around 2-3 weeks to arrive and PAX is in just under 3 weeks.
A 10-pack of 3" buttons come to $12.48 after shipping and tax, so it's a pretty decent deal.

I'd rather have a cardboard sign taped to my front and back. Or just hold it up like I'm somebody.

Really? TBH, I don't mind spending the $12 on some buttons because really, you just pin it to your shirt and can completely forget about it, and how cool would it be if someone came up to you and was like "Hey... you go on the Facepunch Forums too?"
Cardboard signs are cool too though. I hope FP ends up meeting up at PAX. ;)
The tournament schedule has been released here.
Check it out if you plan to participate in any tournaments. I may play in the Soul Calibur tournament, I'm pretty good at Soul Calibur (I used to play it every day against several people a night and I only ever lost against one guy, we were about 50-50 for wins.)
I'm going. I've been trying to look up the cheapest place to stay for my girlfriend and I. There's a really cheap hotel for about 65 a night, one bed. I live about an hour + drive from it, and I want to be there from 10-2, if I had to drive I'd be only getting 6 hours of sleep, or less, since I'll be waking up to shower before going as well.

Can't believe I didn't notice this thread until I made mine, but it still stands:
I can't make it to PAX 2010 (no money, timing is terrible), but I wanted to know if anyone on Facepunch plans on going. Riot Games is going to have a booth there, and they're giving out codes for their game, League of Legends, which unlock in-game skins only available at PAX. We have a lot of people on Facepunch that play (http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=944574) and that would really appreciate these codes (myself included), so I'm asking if anyone here could get some for me. You could probably go around to different employees and get multiple cards; I doubt they would stop you.
So yeah, if you're going, or if you know anyone that is going, let me know and I'll try to give you some more information as to where they will be during PAX. Thanks.
