I hate how when i shave it leaves a super obvious shadow
If it's on your face then sadly you'll need hair removal to fully get rid of it. Makeup can help conceal it though. If it's on your body then try something like Veet which removes the entire hair shaft so nothing is left under the skin. (Don't use it on your face though.)
And for God's sake if you do use it, follow the instructions and do a test patch first.
veet works, but the hair grows back too fast for me to like it as a product.
Have you used it several times? I find that at first it's not as effective, but it could also just be you're unlucky and your hair type is not very good with it.
turns out my GP and I were supposed to receive a letter 5 months ago allowing me to start T-blockers but due to a change in staff it was never sent. Bleh, at least I can take the letter I got from my Endo to my GP and get started.

Also never use it on areas that will have thin skin e.g. inside of thigh Also test it on a tiny area first, some people just burn. I can't use them as it burns my skin before it does anything to my hair. [editline]12th October 2017[/editline] Also be in a well ventilated area, shit damn right stinks.
I used magic hair removal its a little expensive but it worked perfectly here is a video of a girl using it, honestly I really recommend it if you don't mind making the mix yourself
I use nair but it didnt really remove much the first time I used it

I'm not sure how it would work with thicker hair, but it leaves it much cleaner than regular disposable shavers I've tried. No little stubbles even. Maybe give it a try if you'd like? :cat:
I get really obvious shadow on my neck, my face and body and is pretty easy to deal with despite having the genetics of a bear person.
Hi. Using an alt here because I'm living stealth and I don't really want people here to know that I'm trans. Looking for any criticism or suggestions on how to guide my voice in the right direction. Been working on it on and off for a few weeks. https://vocaroo.com/i/s1BdqsghWxP4 Don't mind me, just reading the Chuck Tingle Wikipedia article. Accidentally said "population" at the end instead of "reputation", kinda made my pitch change a little when i realized i messed up. Whoops.
I've heard a lot of people having issues with Nair. I'm not sure what it is about it but it doesn't seem to work as well.
I use Nair pretty frequently, but I intentionally buy the version marketed at men. I don't know if there's actually a chemical difference, but I would assume so considering the biological difference between male and female body hair. I've had plenty of success while using it, but like gtanoofa I have to be careful due to the high price for a bottle.
shaved my arms for the first time and holy shit they look so much better without hair. So light and smooth. [editline]13th October 2017[/editline] i'm still ugly as fuck though [editline]13th October 2017[/editline] I want long hair but my hair looks like shit when growing out and there comes a point where even I can't stand how it looks so I cut it off :( I think I need to enter a hair growing therapy group lol
Do you have curly hair? I often feel the same so I hide it under a hat usually unless I am at work.
no, my hair is flatter than a flat earther theory. I also have a receding hairline.
You sound fine I think, I would recommend you speak a bit slower though. At least it kinda sounds like you're trying to rush to me.
Cool! Yeah I am speaking kind of fast in that recording, I usually talk slower in normal situations, maybe I'm just a fast reader. [editline]13th October 2017[/editline] Is there any particular exercises you could recommend?
Hey thanks!! When I practice I usually do it in my car or something. I sing along with songs that I know the words to but I use my "head / mouth voice" instead of say my "throat / chest voice". Speaking with a feminine pitch and inflection its best achieved by speaking with your mouth versus your chest or throat. When starting I tried "swallowing exercises" to try and keep my larynx as high up in my throat as I could. When you swallow your larynx goes up, and I exercised that by swallowing repeatedly and trying to keep my larynx up as high as I can get it for extended periods of time to try and build up some "vocal strength". I just did that every day for a few months for maybe like 30 minutes to an hour and now I can kind of move it around when I talk freely. Pairing that and talking through my mouth helped me get a better pitch. Sorry I'm not the best at giving advice, I'm not even sure if what I'm saying makes sense or helps in any way, haha. Hope you could gather something new from it though! :cat:

Still very confused over my gender and where to go from here. :S
I'm having the best day right now. I managed to find a stylist in town who's cool with my being trans, gave me a really good feminine haircut, and charged only $20. I tipped 25% and I'll definitely be going back. :thebest:
I have never had my hair cut by anyone who was not my mother because it was free and I am almost 22. Should probably look into that now :v:
I got a haircut but he did it wrong, it's supposed to be a pixie cut but I forgot to say I'm okay with it being girly. He gave me really short sides and long on the top but I actually kinda liked it. I'm not sure if it makes me look more feminine or more masculine though. I think I like the pixie cut more. :s:
did you bring a reference picture? that usually helps them know exactly what youre looking for sounds like what they gave you is an undercut pixie like that?
Yes actually, that's very close! I brought a reference the first time and he did it right. Unfortunately I assumed the same guy would remember it but that's probably difficult since they get so many customers. It's still pretty! Now I understand what happened though.
went to pride today
Gonna try out male pronouns online and see how I feel about it with all the consideration I've been having these last few weeks. Might as well.
Gonna try out male pronouns online and see how I feel about it with all the consideration I've been having these last few weeks. Might as well.
the worst that could happen is that you decide it's not right for you
