I had that as well, I think people see it as means of encouragement or "you're perfect how you are" but they don't realize how things like that can make us feel even more shitty than we do already.

Nah, he wasn't expecting for me to be a guy so it was a bit weird after that. Funny thing about that was also that I was just in my everyday setup, so I wasn't expecting for anyone to be confused about my gender.
