Yeah pretty much that.
You can't fault people who being hardwired and socially taught shit that is beyond their control. All you can do is spread the word/knowledge peacefully without being an aggressive tool because you're mad. Most people won't even know why the trans community is mad and just think that vocal minority is just being a bunch of assholes. You can't just expect them to automatically know these things.
Hell we are still trying to get sufferage through to people. Ultimatly, it will take many generations for the equal rights to sink in. Hell, we only were able to shake the confines of slavery recently, with racism itself still needing to be shooken. Point being, it will take years for people to really accept gay rights, trans rights even longer. But maybe I'm being pessimistic, maybe it will take a shorter time. But, at least we are able to practice what we preach without federal interference. Someday all will be free, but I fear it will still be yet a long time.
My mom told me she remembers in the 70s when the gay rights movement hit a tipping point, when people started coming out and gay marriage became a topic of public discussion. A generation later gay marriage is legal and the majority of the population is happy about it. Right now, transpeople are more visible than ever. We'll get there. It might take a while, maybe a generation or maybe more, but someday we'll be treated with the same dignity that all humans deserve.
Things are getting better and they're going to keep getting better, but I wish it didn't take such a bloody long time and I wish the media would stop finding random things like a random Canadian woman who's pretending to be a 6-year-old in some kind of wacky attempt to portray all trans people as total nutjobs.
They just pick up people like Stefonknee because regular trans people aren't shocking anymore, it's a good sign even if it's annoying
spikes on my jacket mean im punk-rock right

To be fair that Stefonknee thing is p. weird but that fucking name. You're supposed to be six not retarded. Six year olds can spell a name like Stephanie.
how about "that one societal thing where everyone assumes people are cis and straight unless proven otherwise" or as I like to call it, TOSTWEAPACASUPO
Sounds nearly as cumbersome as when the lgbt acronym keeps adding on more and more letters. The problem isn't necessarily the lack of a word but that the one you use is the sort of word nobody understands or recognises outside of an extremely tiny community. Looking around via Google I couldn't even find any academics using it, and they are normally the first to coin ugly and stupid phrases nobody uses.

Look at the baby boomer generation as an example for this. They lived through the era of the HIV and AIDS epidemic where being gay was considered a crime against humanity. You can't blame people for their upbringing and the world they lived in at the time. Future generations (including ours) are going to see LGBT as the norm.
"I will devour every cishet and everyone will thus have a merry christmas" and statements as such aren't okay just because you might have been slighted by some of those people. I'd have hoped that people within the trans community of all people would understand how hurtful it is to be judged for something you can't help (and you cannot seek information on something you aren't aware of. Remember that a lot of people will go an entire lifetime without encountering a single trans person.)
Literally no one irl does that unironically tho.
It is so annoying trying to find dresses if you're large. It doesn't help woman's clothing sizes are never consistent and wonky as hell
I'm not even that chubby, I'm just built like a football player

Poe's law, tbh. It's become way too hard to tell the serious from the sarcastic at times, and when you meet people IRL who are a branch of one extreme, I've no doubt that people exist in real life of a different branch.

I know, but what I mean was, I am currently in the male body.
I added that I was MTF just so it made a lil bit more sense when I added quotations around guy.
