What type? tbh if these are phytoestrogen/plant-based supplements they're not likely to give much in the way of results. :(
This in particular. I'm not looking for any drastic change at the moment, I just want to keep my relative shape or even define it some more. I'm already sure that I have some kind of hormonal imbalance because I have some pretty distinct feminine features already, I just don't want to lose them as I get a little older. :\
Also, gonna do that thing:
I don't know what routes you've tried, or who you've seen, but there's the informed consent route. you seem to be near two clinics that could help: Fenway, and Callen-Lorde - I'm not in the area but was passed this along. Sorry if you already know this.

Ok, so phytoestrogens. if you think you have a hormone imbalance already with higher estrogen than typical these could be counterproductive if anything, they're the weakest form the body might encounter and could compete with the forms your body already has. It also sounds like you're not sure what your levels are, so if you haven't had a blood test to reveal these I'd take extra caution with DIY hormones.

I'll probably wait a bit then. I want to get in contact with a therapist or someone that could help, but I'm nervous and have been waiting. I've just been eager with trying something new that might help.
I know it isn't what you want to hear but I can't in good conscious provide info I don't feel is true, or say something to set people up for disappointment.
In the meantime, there's a lot of other things you can work on! (again, idk what you have done so far+these are commonly advised anyway, but) voice, clothing, presentation, appearance things, skin care, self-care... These helped me a lot when I had a similar wait. I just feel I kept waiting too long, so try not to lose sight of what you want either!
I'm wondering if buying and taking estrogen supplements off Amazon is a good idea or not...
I want to start SOMEWHERE, and I'm feeling worse every day so I feel like a change in something is needed.
Usually it's not a good idea to buy that sort of thing off amazon. Half of the time you buy crap which doesn't work or could hurt you. You should always aim to get a proper prescription.
Ive always been against self-medding unless there exists no other avenues to start HRT. Also estrogen supplements you find on Amazon are probably not going to be that effective. Especially if you dont pair it with a testosterone blocker (like spironolactone)
there's literally no friggin' testing or restrictions on supplements you could be getting sawdust for all you know
they're not even legally required to correctly list on the bottle what the thing contains
Well, I know I don't post here much, and probably no one knows who I am. But, recently I met a woman who I am now in a relationship with that is very much encouraging my crossdressing. So, today I did all my own makeup, where as both the other times I have posted here have been someone else's work.

I met her old friends from high school while dressed as this, she introduced me as her girlfriend.
After I left to go home, I stopped at chipotle and the cashier told me I had very pretty hair. It was pretty emotional for me, actually.\
Figured it out.
So I'm booked to go to Exeter for my first consultation on the 9th of February. Hell yeah!

Hopefully it won't take too many appointments before hormones come into play.. Although I'm not putting my hopes up.
Heh, and heres me still waiting for a response back from Leeds, its been over a year.
I should chase it up again...
Back from the psychiatrist, turns out my psychiatrist has started doing stuff related to Gender issues which is pretty great, saves us traveling to another place.
I brought some stuff up that I was gonna give him on paper (printer ink was empty) and he said that the next stage is Social Transitioning, mainly around my family and probably a small group of friends, mainly because I live in a country town and unlike the city, there are probably some ignorant people around
he wants to see me every 3-6 months. I think my next one is in 3 months when we talk about seeing an endocrinologist about HRT and that sorta thing.
And since I am 16, I am old enough to consent or not consent to medicine, so if my mom supports me, I may be able to start HRT sooner, depends what the endocrinologist says.
Basically the stage I am at is making sure people arent jerks to me and to see how it feels being called Chloe (or Maxine, still dunno :v) and wearing female clothes around the house
Just a little update, around three days after this quoted post I came out to my Brothers and they are totally fine with it, and me wearing Women's Clothing around the house.
I have worn Panties for a day plus a couple of hours. So comfy.
And earlier, like 2 hours ago, I went through some Bra's my Mom gave me last December with her in the room to see what would fit and what doesn't, we found two that fit and we put the rest in a draw for when I start taking HRT and grow into them.
I also tried some shirts and pants on, I fit into some of the shirts so she let me take one and she is going to buy me some pants now that she has a size for them.
We also got a date for seeing the Psychiatrist next, which is April 5th, that is a week or two after seeing Tony Attwood, who will give us some advice and refer us to some people (hopefully)
[editline]13th January 2016[/editline]
Also in bed at night, I have been practicing my Female voice, I haven't gone full time yet but any practice is better than none.
hey any chance somebody could like help me with my voice? like not general advice but like 1 on 1 or whatever? I have a decent vocal range but I have absolutely no control over my voice whatsoever.
When I'm fully awake I talk like a girl. Lilting rhythm, I exclaim things and drop sentences, I giggle whether I want to or not. But when I'm tired (sick, or sometimes just because my body decides) I lose the ability to not sound like Rami Malek.
It's actually annoying because sometimes I'll catch myself talking about something I thought of as a girl in my girl brain, but my voice is shit that day and "omg you have to tell me where you got that eyeshadow" is going to either sound absurd or sarcastic coming out of a raspy man voice. Even when I have my normal upbeat voice, it's still only like a girl. I can sound like a boy that sounds like a girl but thats about it.
Name has been CHANGED, OFFICIAL OOH YEA.
Also my Deedpoll is on its way :v:

If it helps, it took me about 9 months, and times in excess of 12 months aren't that unusual. But maybe you could talk to your GP about it?
1.5 years here, chasing them up on friday actually, no fucking clue whats going on :v:
Took me around 2 years from starting to see my psychologist to starting hormones.
Although this was in the US to be fair
I haven't had anything other than a "lol we're full, contact you next year" and they never did.
Should really chase it up, would like at least something to happen before I'm 25...

My advice would be the never, EVER expect anyone to do anything they say. If someone says they're going to contact you within X amount of time, the moment it's beyond that, contact them back. "Hey, you said you would contact me within X time. It's now beyond that, what's going on?" Nag the ever loving hell out of them. Especially considering you're UK, all of that is going to be government and first world government seems to see fit to not do anything unless they absolutely have to. Never let anyone make you wait it out simply by not doing anything.
However, be considerate as far as possible, but once they start giving you the run-around and going back on what they've said, start getting pissy. My dad just got screwed out of a very important procedure that he wanted to get done before our 3-week vacation (we're back now) because insurance didn't want to pay so they didn't make a decision until it was literally too late to schedule the appointment. Him not getting it done actually put a bit of a damper on the vacation and I'm still not sure he's had the procedure done, and we've been back for about a week and a half. He needs it done. Be on top of making sure you get the appointments you need. Don't let other people keep you from getting them simply by not doing anything.
I feel like I'm repeating the same point but also missing the point I want to make entirely.
hooray, i get to wait two more month despite having an appointment today but because my mum misunderstood me or something I wasn't able to make it :<
at least im even more sure its what I'm wanting
Oh hey I just took a look at my test results and my testosterone is 2.8 percent of what it was prior to hormones.

Well right now I have two bars in my right eyebrow and a ring in my left nostril, I was gonna get a bar for my left eyebrow and a ring in the middle of my bottom lip. I like asymmetry. lol
My mom has a nose stud but that's about it in my family. :v:

Reaching 2 years with me waiting on Newcastle.
Last time I phoned I ended up speaking directly to the head of the clinic, it seems that with Newcastle anyway they don't have enough staff to replace those leaving, despite them warning the NHS multiple times like two years prior that this would happen.
Newcastle had to pretty much freeze the waiting list just to get through the people they already had backlogged.
So I'm gonna phone them up soon to find out what exactly is going on still, as it's been a good few months since I last phoned.
Tried to buy some clothes and sleeve length is turning out to be a bit of a problem. Consistently ends up being too short.

Always got to try them on first. I made this mistake too many times.

Not that easy when you buy stuff online. I'd prefer shopping in a store, but for now I'm just not feeling up to having to go find a store and shopping by myself.

Huh, I look somewhat decent.
So I need some advice... I've been on hormones for 6 months already and I'm going to be starting college in about a month. Should I try to go full girl mode or what.
