so after being fucked about my gender since I was a pre-teen i've finally got an appointment for a gender specialist which is cool i guess
Congrats! I hope things work out for you.
I need help but I have no money I don't know what to do
I need help but I have no money I don't know what to do
Well you can always talk to one of us and we can see what we can do, you have me on steam if I recall.
I don't really know how to talk about my issues anymore. Most of the time people tell me what I already know and things just stay the same.
I know it's probably a dumb suggestion but have you tried applying for a job in the hospital? I know you hated it but you have some experience working in that environment so it should be a bit easier to land a job like that. And while you're working there you could always look for other work.

Just hearing about injuries caused by car accidents makes me choke up still.

That's your best bet at this point. That can at least get you going again while searching for other work. I would say work on overcoming that and moving forward.

And even then I don't know if I will be able to get decent treatment. This is the south after all.
I thought you lived in California somewhere? Did you end up moving?
Yeah I moved to Kentucky to be with my girlfriend because my depression issues were really becoming unmanageable.
I thought you lived in California somewhere? Did you end up moving?
She moved to... Kentucky? Or somewhere along those lines to be with her GF. I would search online for endocrinologists in your area who do HRT monitoring. I found a few names on Susan's Playground. I also have a finder someone on Reddit linked me that could help. I'll send you the link on Steam when I get a chance to. You could also ask around r/asktransgender. I'm sure there are some people in your area who have doctors they go to.
Yeah I moved to Kentucky to be with my girlfriend because my depression issues were really becoming unmanageable.
Ahh I see. Do you still have an active prescription for your medications? Can you still contact the doctor who originally prescribed you hormones?
Ahh I see. Do you still have an active prescription for your medications? My doctor ran off to join some rich local California practice and I was left high and dry with no doctor willing to help me.

Have you looked around for doctors willing to work with trans patients in kentucky? If you have a prior diagnosis on your record then it should be a bit easier to get a hold of a new prescription.
oh my god take it to PMs or permaban all of you
\o/

I only just got my new insurance card and I highly doubt it covers anything HRT related.

I can't imagine how horrible it must be to no longer have access to HRT

I hate seeing people feeling like that, especially when they don't deserve it.

I'm sure you'll do fine. [editline]2nd March 2016[/editline] Also congrats on getting an appointment, thats the hardest part from my experience.
I've still yet to get one, its been over a year and almost a half now since referral. :v:...
I've still yet to get one, its been over a year and almost a half now since referral. :v:...
Have you made any follow up calls?
Have you made any follow up calls?
Gonna be chasing it up heavily once this college year is up, at the moment got enough on my plate to get stressed over.

Just remember to keep on their asses or they'll end up sticking you at the bottom of a list somewhere and forgetting. [editline]3rd March 2016[/editline] On another note I melted my hairbrush by putting it on top of my straightener while it was cooling :v:
I need to work out how contouring works or something. I feel my face shape is still a pretty big obstacle to me passing. I guess that'll be easier once I get on hormones, but it's frustrating.

Other then that the only thing yiu can really so is take care of the skin on your face.
Hormones really do help with the shape of your face. And even with medical-strength skin cream and all kinds of other shit, there's only so much which can be done. But yeah, hopefully hormones will do me a favour. [editline]3rd March 2016[/editline] Does anyone have any random makeup tips for the meantime, though?
