Yeah and that was a big problem.
What happened to the "huge voter turnout" this election? I checked the numbers, and it seems like the turnout was down 7 million from 2012 and 10 million from 2008.

Blame Farage and his ilk.
Hey I heard you lot were kinda bummed out. [t]http://i.imgur.com/g5c74p2.jpg[/t]
Sad thing is if Bernie Sanders was the one running the electoral college would have looked more like this on November 8th. The problem is a lot of people, like myself, did not like either candidate. And with good reason. Hilary is a crooked criminal who rigged the DNC nomination in her favor, and the emails the Russians supposedly hacked between members of the DNC showed how corrupt the Democratic Party actually is. That left a lot of Democrats, myself included, a sour taste in their mouth. We were stuck voting between a crooked idiot who would probably be a danger to us all, and a guy who is just an idiot that actually some has some pretty fucking good plans for this country if you read through them. Regardless, I didn't vote. I didn't want to have a hand in the downfall of this country. But given that list it seems a lot of the policies he wants to enact are really solid. A lot are stupid, sure, the important ones actually sound really beneficial for this country. edit: Quick draw on the dumbs I see.
I don't see what good plans he has considering his likely energy minister denies climate change. But I digress, that's not very relevant to this thread. ... and I uh, I don't have much to post that is relevant, other than to say I fully support trans people.
I don't see what good plans he has considering his likely energy minister denies climate change.
Well that's why I posted a nice little hyperlink for you to check out.
But I digress, that's not very relevant to this thread
????? So someone can post a graph of the votes from 18-25 year olds and that's relevant and okay but me furthering the conversation with a rebuttal is irrelevant?
some of those things are good, and some of them are complete madness.
Yeah, but the crazy ones are most likely not going to go through. Like the ban on two federal regulations if a new one gets passed. I'm not even sure what the train of thought is in that one. The same goes for the banning illegal immigrants one. I agree with the former half about actually deporting illegals from the country but to say you're going to make it so the countries that "don't want them back" are no longer going to be eligible for future visas is pretty asinine.
No, fucking young people. Show up in the numbers needed for a change.
I agree with what you're saying but things like the indyref and brexit have had a really high turn our, indyref had roughly 78% turn out. anywho back on topic, i think my chest might be starting to grow, my left breast hurts when pressured :o

We're worried about batshit trump supporters feeling justified in going after minorities (including us) something that's already happening but please continue to be contrarian for the sake of it.
Hilary is a crooked criminal who rigged the DNC nomination in her favor
This is outright not true. The DNC was definitely loaded in her favor and unfair to Sanders but the very fact that most people knew who she was while they had no idea who Sanders was immediately biases them towards her. Without the DNC and media bias towards her she was still fairly likely to win the nomination.
Also, just to reaffirm you guys it'll be okay. https://twitter.com/uhsalt/status/796393669901230080 and: http://www.nytimes.com/politics/first-draft/2016/04/21/donald-trump-says-transgender-people-should-use-the-bathroom-they-want/?_r=0
Personally I'm completely willing to give him a chance to prove whether or not he'll be bad. But the fact of the matter is that everything he has said he'll do so far and all his current cabinet candidates don't give me much faith in him at best. They make me fairly nervous about how the next four years are going to go. It also doesn't help when he appointed a staunch anti-LGBT politician as his running mate to appeal to religious conservatives more too. While Trump himself has been somewhat ambiguous about his views on LGBT people, Mike Pence has not been remotely ambiguous. But above that Trump has already said his vice president is going to have a lot of power within his administration.
You gotta remember too that the law for legalizing gay marriage had to go through the senate too. A senate that has been mostly red for a while now. Even during Obama's presidency there were 44 seats for the democratic party and 54 seats for the republicans. And the law to legalize gay marriage still was voted in favor, pushed to the supreme court, and /passed/. Now it's 45 democrats to 53 republicans. I don't feel the supreme court is going to change much either even under Trump's presidency.
Popping in to point out that recognizing gay marriage in the US had absolutely nothing to do with Congress. SCOTUS ruled in Obergefell v. Hodges that state gay marriage bans were unconstitutional, and that was that. The Senate and House had nothing to do with that decision. DOMA was what snaked through the bowels of Congress, which made gay marriage federally unrecognized, but United States v. Windsor overturned it in 2013. Then Obergefell came along and was binding on all states, and thus gay marriage happened nationwide. Congress didn't do anything to trigger that. At the time, and going into the future, Congress had no majority interest in recognizing gay marriage. The good news is that any law saying "no gays lol" would be easily ruled unconstitutional as long as Obergefell and Windsor are binding, and it's unlikely that it will be overturned anytime in the near future. A Trump SCOTUS nominee would be replacing the late Scalia, who authored the dissent in Obergefell, so it wouldn't shift the balance. He'd need Ginsburg or Kennedy to drop out, and even if that happened, the court would be hesitant to overturn a ruling so soon. Although we all told ourselves that there was no chance Trump would be where he is now, so.
I really hate this Danish system, I need to yet again move my last appointment since I can't take the whole day off, but I need to call within 3 hours on a weekday and it's within a really inconvenient time period. Doesn't help that I had to move for Uni even further away, since treatment is only offered at the national hospital in Copenhagen. [editline]12th November 2016[/editline] Pretty sure most of my posts in this thread has just been me complaining about the Danish system.
My cousin is going with me to get my ears pierced at some point. I never really thought about it but life is short so fuck it.
My cousin is going with me to get my ears pierced at some point. I never really thought about it but life is short so fuck it.
I was really envious of my sister when she got her ears pierced (I was like... 13?). I still really want to do that eventually.
Hello all you beautiful people. I'd like to get something off my chest. I've started realizing that I'm attracted to trans people (regardless of gender identity or expression). I've dated a few times, in the short term. I'm not sure what or who the heck I am, other than I know that I'm not really 'trans' but just genderfluid or questioning or whatever. I'm worried that in some way I'm fetishizing being attracted to trans people or something. I try to treat everyone with the awareness that they're their own people and don't exist for my gratification or whatever, but I'm so worried that I come off as having a savior complex or some garbage like that. It freaks me out and makes me feel like I wouldn't be successful in that relationship. Thoughts? Side note: Ms. Gyroscope, my friend declared that she'd "smooch you on sight" for your eyebrows alone, and Judas, your boobs are coming along great. You two are holding your spot as the best couple (second place goes to Zilla and Amber, better luck next time girls). I know it's hard getting treatment or equality in East Bumblefuck, Indiana, etc. I have nothing but love and respect for everyone here.

Transwomen, for me, are the most sexually attractive people out there because I'm attracted to both dicks and tits. I've also noticed that people I date, and we don't last long together, are the ones that I tend to date because I'm feeling lonely, either emotionally or sexually. I guess they'd be considered rebounds? The ones that last a long time, I date them based on the person they are, not based on them being attractive to me sexually. Relax and take it easy. What you're attracted to sexually doesn't have to define all of you.
Before I started HRT there were two major issues to me which pushed me to go for HRT with such vigor. I was very very worried genetic hairloss from my father would make me too far gone by the time I was on anti-androgens. I'm just slightly over 2 months on HRT and my hairloss has stopped dead and the spotty areas have nearly been filled in again.
Ok this is seriously something I'm going through right now. The whole hair loss thing. My dad has it and it's really starting to show on me now. I tried growing my hair out once and it just turned out shit because I have some kind of receding hairline going on or something.
i really need it :v my legs and arms just look boney and, the worst part; veiny. i dont know if the veininess would stop if i gained a bit more weight but im really hoping so this, and the same on my legs makes it impossible to 'pass' unless im wearing long sleeves. this image is the arm at its very worst, whenever its below my chest. usually its not this bad but when its just below chest level it still sucks also, grabbing objects is a difficulty too, if my hand is ever below my chest/heart i get this, otherwise if its elevated i get a much nicer appearance on the hand, even if its still a bit boney
I get that too and I'm also pretty underweight. I guess it's just when blood falls to your extremities it's more noticeable when you have less fat.
If I lose weight while on hrt, will it carve out my body, or do i have to gain the weight.
I'm all set to begin treatment, but my slow-ass mail order pharmacy is "estimating" that my hormones won't get mailed until the 23rd. I am so sick of waiting. I already have a supply of estradiol patches, but I don't have spiro yet. I wanted to start them at the same time but I think I'm just going to start the patches this week and the pills next week.
I came out to a lot of family members lately, they've took it super well. They are more happy that I'm happier to announce it and were all worried about me being anti-social and secluded beforehand. They're hoping that it means I will be more social with them, they're all accepting it and theres no problems yet. However, I havent announced it to any male family members. I think it may be a lot different in that sense, but nonetheless I'm very happy that my family have taken it great so far The recent future is still uncertain, I'm not sure exactly when i'm gonna start everything. I'm still saving money for laser and stuff like that and am giving some time to grow my hair out. I will start HRT the second im happy with my appearance otherwise, so closer to the date i'm ready i'll go see a doctor and stuff for that this is all so exciting, its just really kicking in how real it is
Hopefully it should be easier for you when you know you have someone you can rely on and who supports you. Good luck!
I've been turned down by 3 different therapists so far in an attempt to schedule an appointment with them. Finding the right kind of therapist that is near me is pretty hard.
In my quest to get more fit and eat right my boobs have shrunk. At least i got semi abs. Hopefully its not related to me switching to pills
