I'll probably start getting hormones next month. I guess that's nice, since I was thinking I'd have to wait another year.
I wish my mother doesn't have to pay for them herself, though.
First time posting here though I'm in the Discord, finally told one of my friends and my close cousin that I might be trans, the good thing is they accepted it so I'm happy for now, but I still have my family to tell, I hope they take it well
Got my next gender app 9th, got approved for NHS funding for my fertility treatment that's now starting on the 25th.
So when that's wrapped up I already have the go ahead for hormones so I guess maybe late feb/early march could be titty skittles time and then I can start getting properly army fit.
i'm pretty nervous about posting these

your images are broken.
It's been a while since I've posted here, but I think I've severely fucked up. I was so sure I had an appointment in January at the West London GIC but when looking for the letter to confirm the time, it turns out I somehow misread September as January. With the four week time limit long gone I'm not sure what to do. Should I call the regular number on the 2nd? Call the emergency number tomorrow? Call my GP or make an appointment? Each time I misread a date it's like a hard slap in the face...
bleh i need to get a new therapist, and also a doctor to prescribe hormones already
everything becomes 10x more difficult with depression
Happy new year everyone
I'm gonna try and make my new year's resolution to get somewhere with getting hormones
hi
i've posted in the discord for a while but not in this thread yet
i think i'm trans
going to try and find a therapist to see soon, and see how things go from there i guess
happy new years everyone!!!!!!
My New Years Resolution is to come out by the end of the year. Time to see if I become the person that actually follows through.
It's funny. I can't tell anyone my new years resolution because that would fulfill my new years resolution.

If anything, having them ask might make it easier.
The most I have in terms of feminine clothing is striped socks, everything else I have is t shirts and basketball shorts, cause i'm overweight and getting feminine clothes that fit me is a pain in the ass (and also expensive). it sucks really hard
what size do you usually buy? i'm pretty big as well but all of the clothes i bought recently were "only" size 20 uk
my guy clothes are usually like XX/XXXL
idk how different it is between countries, coz when I buy small or medium in aus it's usually the same as a medium in the US.
I ordered two smalls online from america once and one was way too small but the other fit so idk

clothing sizes are weird
Honestly clothing companies are drastically inconsistent, especially with women's clothing. "0" or "12" is an arbitrary number that means absolutely nothing, even within one company because they can change it on the fly. Really the only thing that works is men's jeans because they at least give you a solid waist/inseam measurement in inches. To change that, you'd suddenly have to not be measuring in inches.
honestly my new years resolutions are to get good at 3d modelling, have a long-lasting relationship with new gf, and basically attempt to get on hrt by the end of the year

Yeah that's what I usually wear too, but even then its kinda inconsistent
Clothing size varies from brand to brand.
I'm a medium or large, depending on which clothing brand I'm buying.
I expected it to take longer to get HRT prescribed.
I got my HRT prescription picked up just today, so I started this evening.
A friend got me thigh-highs for an early birthday present, and they allllmost fit perfectly, I'm just a bit too Thicc
Thanks for the advice. I never asked and never received the numbers from my pre-HRT baseline so the next time I have labs done I'll be sure to ask for them.
Sometimes I see pictures of myself, and I think I look like some short-haired lesbian, and it makes me really happy. <3

I friggin' love that shirt
Okay so uhhhhh. Don't trust endocrinologists.
Mine doesn't know shit about HRT and transwomen.
First he gave me a dose of 50 mg spiro and it didn't work and instead of raising the dose he kept me like that for 3 months and then upped me to 100 mg which didn't have the desired effect as well(My testosterone was at 250 NG/DL which is too high and nowhere near cis woman levels which is like 30 to 95) so i wasted 4+ months of testosterone infesting my body and upped my dose to 200 mg spiro behind his back(good thing i can buy HRT over the counter with no questions asked) and then i started cypro at 50 mg again behind his back.
After i visited him 6 days ago i pushed him to start cypro "officially" and he told me we're gonna start at the low dose of 50 mg cypro(that's not low dose that's pretty normal and sometimes very high for a lot of individuals).
So i pretty much only got tits and my face is only clearing up now that i acted on my own, based on the knowledge i had about HRT.
If they don't give you your levels then make them give you your levels. You might think you're making progress but you might be making no progress at all. And don't trust your endos much or at all.
This kinda worries me about the not trusting your endo part. I can't really easily make it back to mine for bloodwork, so there hasn't been bloodwork since the initial visit. I'm 3 months in and just got a year worth of refills. I stopped for like a week because of some issues getting said refills, and my chest flattened out a bit during that time. 50mg spiro a day, 4mg estradiol a day.
I've been kind of conflicted internally, too. I've been much more content on HRT and happy for the first time in ages, but I keep thinking I should just stop and force myself to find some way of being happy without it. The idea of permanent changes to myself scares me even though I've wanted it for years. Maybe some others have similar thoughts?

Hot Topic clearance bin 😎
Heya, so I just ended up making a pretty big change and I'm moving out of my father's, where it's been incredibly difficult to even think about starting to transition. Hopefully now that I'm at my mom's I can finally start to make progress.
It feels amazing to finally start making progress after being stuck going nowhere for so long.
Anyways, yeah, you'll probably see me around here now. So hi :v:

Thanks for posting about this. I happened to have an appointment with my endo the day you posted. I asked to see my testosterone levels (they were 250) and now I've switched from patches to injections.
Wondering if I should ask to switch over to injections, I see my endo again tomorrow.
in my opinion you should be on oral or sublingual(wouldn't suggest to start with sublingual) for at least a year and switch to injections after.

Glad i helped! Are you gonna do anything about your testosterone as well?
[editline]12th January 2017[/editline]
Unless you're taking AAs in injections, then my question is already anwsered :P
yeah i've been taking spiro since I started HRT
