I'm not even sure why I bought phantom pain. Don't like stealth a crazy amount. Never was that into Metal Gear. But I felt like it was almost necessary. It's the end of a series of games that are considered legendary among games. It's just a solid game all around. It's Kojima giving it his all. It's like, this game has its issues, but all of the experimenting in previous games lead to a game that instead lets the players experiment.
but at the same time, I disagree with buying from notably shitty companies. I don't agree with EA's DLC practices so I avoid them. Don't like others too.
Do you buy mgs5 because its a good game and Kojima should be remembered for directing such a good series, but ignore what Konami is doing? Or do you avoid it to not fuel Konami's bullshit?

Why can't people just be allowed to make games without stupid video game politics and awful business practices. Money fucks over a lot of series.
Look at DooM, and Half Life 2, or the deadpool movie. They clearly didn't care about how much money they made when making these things, they just wanted to make a great game. As a result, they were massively successful.
then you look at Metal Gear today, Batman V superman, all that shit, and it's so obvious they're trying to crush the series of all the cash it can make. They don't give a damn about the source material, or what it represents, they just want bank.

But hey, who fucking cares about making something people will love and continue buying for years when you have one of these

I completely agree with YongYea here.
I'd rather have Metal Gear Pachinko than more Metal Gear Games.
Remember how they treated Silent Hill?
I don't want Metal Gear to get the same treatment, I don't even want SH to get that treatment but it did, but now, it can at least find some type of peace by not having any more games made.
