pretty sure it's always been described as 700 feet
[sp]im so glad hes dead, i've never read the books but he's such a boring two-bit character. all the other supposedly "evil" characters have some depth to them, except for joffrey [/sp]
Well that episode was satisfying.
Yeahhhhhhhhhh [editline]14th April 2014[/editline] My arm hurts now from overzealous fist pumping.
I haven't read the books and I'm wondering about the latest episode. [sp]Did Joffrey show this much asshole mastery during the wedding in the books, too?[/sp]
I'm told by my housemate that in the book [sp]whatever he does to humiliate Tyrion would be a human rights violation. Apparently the dwarf joust is in the book, but they're riding dogs.[/sp]
This episode, IMO, in a nutshell: [editline]14th April 2014[/editline] Also, :v:
i haven't read the books but i'm pretty sure i know who did it. here is my reasoning [sp]I bet Olenna did it. she's made it abundantly clear that she's not going to let joffrey hurt her granddaughter and when the first plan fell through i assume she went to plan b: get her granddaughter to be queen and then kill the little shit and then everyone wins except joffrey[/sp] am i right or am i totally off
I wonder if Jaime is going to go all Clas Greve on someone.
[sp]At one point Olenna literally says "A terrible thing to kill someone at their wedding." The Queen of Thorns is so damn cheeky.[/sp]
(Season 4 ep 2 spoilers) My mum literally just chased me around the house for 10 minutes asking [sp]Is my little shit going to be ok!? referring to Tyrion. That's what she calls him.[/sp] I wouldn't give in, she hates having to wait a week now :v:
Book Three Spoilers [sp]I think this is the highpoint in terms of happiness for the series... ITS ALL DOWNHILL FROM HERE[/sp] [editline]14th April 2014[/editline] [sp]Oh wait, I forgot about Lysa Arryn getting pushed out the moon door[/sp]

They had that scene together earlier that didn't really go anywhere and she handled Joffrey's cup under the table when she gave it to Tyrion. Plus the fool wanted to get her out of there quick.[/sp] It's what I hope happened anyway.
it also spoiled something else so thanks for that
Glad to serve.
Concerning last episode, [sp]I'm pretty sure it was the old lady that poisoned him. She did mention to Tywin that she had boughten all the meat pies for the wedding in a earlier scene discussing the expenses. Obviously it is probably just the wine, but I thought the meat pie made more sense since he was the only one who ate it.[/sp]
I know who did it off these reasons [sp]Basically, Olenna or Marj poisoned Joff, either way it was the Tyrels. But, the reason I know is because for one, Tyrion was assisted in the second giving off the cup to Joffrey moment, by Marj, the camera also slips quickly to Olenna whilst Tyrion is picking up the cup. Who was previously going to marry Renley for a shot at the throne, who begged to marry the king instead of Sansa? Who, once arranged marriage was consented, actually told Sansa everything would be okay once was all sorted? Who would be the ruler of the seven kingdoms if they took the throne?[/sp]. Also, out of show, you can tell who did it if you look at cast "night-outs" and who's recently came into shots a lot more frequently.
Wow didn't kinda expect [sp]the purple wedding so soon I was expecting it to happen later[/sp] oh well atleast after this Book 3 MAJOR SPOILERS:[sp] the Red Viper vs The Mountain fight which I'm still sad because the dude playing Oberyn is awesome.[/sp]

[sp] She's such a tragic character and she just gets played like the crazy idiot she is :/ [/sp]
The one thing that always annoyed me is how tame the Iron Throne looks, and so I googled and found some interpretations and holy shit these look good.
The throne doesn't have enough swords for that.
So what do you guys think (Book 3 Part 2 spoilers) [sp] once Oberyn goes to fight The Mountain for Tyrion, will the show take the same path as the book? Personally I'd like to see Oberyn make it in the show. He's a great character. [/sp]
i wonder how many of the sand snakes we'll see in the show

[/sp]
Book three spoilers [sp] Oberyn is a great character, and they've said that they're going to be making changes from the books. HOWEVER, Tyrion getting sentenced to die is very integral to the plot. DOUBLE HOWEVER, they might go about it a different way somehow, perhaps they violate the oath of Trial By Combat and sentence tyrion anyway?[/sp]
Book 3: [sp]not killing off Oberyn is a horrible idea and you all should be ashamed of yourselves. If you wanted more of him blame the show runners for bringing him in so late[/sp]
While the show certainly has its deviations, characters dying when they're supposed to die seems to stay in line. Maybe a few very minor characters were switched around? Not that I can remember though.

That would be a huge change in a lot of ways. It's the tv show version though, anything's possible, but I don't see it happening.
Classic GOT Facebook page spoiling the episode less than 24 hours after it airs.
I was having quite a bit of a bad time yesterday because I got back from a boring 4 hour drive, hoping to play some vidya gaems with my friends before GoT, when I arrived home it turned out that my internets were dead. And I was pissed. [sp]And then Geoffrey died.[/sp] And it was all good.
Classic GOT Facebook page spoiling the episode less than 24 hours after it airs.
Block it.
It's a shame that no one's going to [sp]cry for Joffrey[/sp], I really enjoyed the reactions to [sp]Red Wedding[/sp] last year.
It saddens me I wasn't around for that, would have been great to see the reactions. I just finished watching this episode, I got megaspoiled about 60 times before watching it because, well, internet. But still, incredible end.
