Game of Thrones version IV: Preface your spoilers with BOOK or SHOW

Oh man that was even better than what I imagined in the book!
[sp]I felt bad for Cersei, because you know it's still a mother losing her son. But most of all for Tyrion, he's fucked.[/sp]
[sp]Fuck the book, has there been any characters they haven't killed off and deviated from the book? I don't want Tyrian to die because he's the only character I find personally interesting. The actor is great and the material he has to work with is brilliant. The reject of the family, the small man (dwarf) in an alpha male world. Black sheep of the banner with liberal guilt. Peter Dinklage works with the basic material and is very enthralling.
Every other character in the story bores me shitless, I know this is subjective but I just find they are genuinely not that interesting, they are all the same tropes of fantasy story telling. Basically anything to do with the Lanesters has been thematically and cinematic interesting to view.
Book readers, the show is going to become trite and Tyrian is going to get the chop right? [/sp]

Yes, you are completely right.
I just think that the author should've used strong bewlas rather than barristan for a POV. It'd be indescribably cool. Don't get me wrong; Barristan is an honourable and clever guy, but bewlas is a hilarious, dimwitted juggernaut that could probably replace the dragons should they ever die.
Your favorite character, and you can't even get their name right.
I'd be ashamed.

I'm not, spelling isn't my greatest feat considering I was dropped at birth and I never read the book.
[sp]Theon is such a bitch huh?[/sp]
Almost on episode Four of the Third season

Ending of book 3/Season 4 ending spoilers: [sp]So we can take it for granted that this season will end with Tyrion killing Tywin and Shae and Lysa possibly getting pushed down the moon door?[/sp]

Book 3[sp]I was thinking the exact way they ended the book, revealing Cat.[/sp]

No I think that will be the next to last episode. The last episode will show the characters starting their new storylines AFTER all the craziness has ended the old one, like every season does.

Book 3 spoilers: [sp]Yeah, revealing Cat as Lady Stoneheart would be awesome at the very end of the last episode![/sp]

When I talk about those things I obviously mean episode 9, all super cool stuff happens in episode 9.
so in relation to the thread title
who won?

[sp]The bastard sends his regards.[/sp]
When Bran does his whole "mind of the wolf" thing, is he actually controlling the wolf, or is he simply seeing and experiencing the wolf through its eyes? I initially thought he was just using its senses, but in that last episode, it seemed like he had actually "become" the animal, or was at least experiencing the animal's thoughts and actions in a way that were indistinguishable from his own.
Wargs are people with the ability to enter the minds of animals and perceive the world through their senses and even control their actions.
I can't remember from book 3 but [sp]is there mention that Shae actually does go away or does she stay the whole time and sleeps with Tywin before being shot? Cause if they change her character and leave her in the show for longer I'll pretty annoyed[/sp]
Answer to said question (this season spoilers / book 3): [sp]she's just around the whole time. He was going to marry her to a knight but Joff's wedding happened first.[/sp]
Also more reasons why they (show runners) ruined her character (same spoilers):
[sp]I completely forgot she lies at his trial! Now that she's all actually upset it makes her seem justified in some way... FUCKING DND[/sp]
Book THREE [sp] Being mad at someone does NOT justify setting them up for murder[/sp]
[sp] Being mad at someone does NOT justify setting them up for murder[/sp]
future / book 3
[Sp]But it gives her A motive now. The only one she had before was that she didn't care[/Sp]
[Sp]But it gives her A motive now. The only one she had before was that she didn't care[/sp]
Yes, for the tv show where the writer can't really let the audience see what characters are thinking, unlike in books, this does work better. People watching have now seen enough for a motive, no need for more expository scenes. Win/win for everyone.
Tv and movie storytelling is always about 'show, don't tell' whenever possible and this fits that perfectly.
Book THREE [sp]In the books it's assumed her motive was "I talk or I die", sleeping with Tywin was a different matter.[/sp]
Apparently I read that differently from both of you. future / book 3 [sp]I assumed she was just paid off to talk about Tyrion, and yes she'd die otherwise. The point is she was a whore the whole time and betrayed him, not him that betrayed her[/sp]
And cecil it changes her character completely.
Fucksake, lable your book spoilers. Even reply to a book spoiler . Don't just post them and assume we'll work it out.
Quick spoiler question [sp]are tyrion and lord varys allies or friendly[/sp]
Quick spoiler question [sp]are tyrion and lord varys allies or friendly[/sp]
[sp]a bit both. varys won't betray tywin (and maybe cersei) for tyrion, but will help him out otherwise[/sp]
if you guys had the chance to bang with one character from the tv series, who
[editline]16th April 2014[/editline]

Margaery Tyrell.
Not sure if spolier or not, but book 4 spolier if it is?
[sp]Cersei has been with everyone, you will catch medieval aids.[/sp]
it's a bit dodgy answering that question since most of the girls on the show are underage D:
but probably john snow's girlfriend. she'd be wild ;0 ;)
