technically, the targaryens had their asses handed to them and lost the throne fair and square to robert.
In that case shouldn't Jaime "technically" be King then if he's the one who killed (read: overthrew) the Mad King? [editline]19th April 2014[/editline] I've never read the book so I'm not sure how the whole thing actually works though.
[sp]ding dong the witch got shot another witch is dead[/sp] [sp]celebrate good times come on joffrey's dead[/sp] [sp]i have never been more happy to witness the death of a fictional being[/sp]
[sp]It was certainly underwhelming though..[/sp]
[sp]Cersei freaking out unable to do anything for her dying child made that scene much more powerful[/sp]
But he seems to be heavily influenced by a bunch of nuts (or is one too).
Nah he is using them, he understands that mel has power and is using her for his cause.
Nah he is using them, he understands that mel has power and is using her for his cause.
In the books at least, in the show he seems pretty damn controlled.
When is the third episode coming out? Google has fiddly details.
When is the third episode coming out? Google has fiddly details.
Today.
In the books at least, in the show he seems pretty damn controlled.
yeah show Stannis is really bad which is a shame because the actor really is a perfect Stannis
He's pretty cool but I feel like he isn't given enough screen time on the show.
He doesn't get all that much book time either, to be honest. He only really gets a lot of attention in book 2 and book 5.

does anyone have a stream for tonight?
He's pretty cool but I feel like he isn't given enough screen time on the show.
I don't want to be one of those "In the book" Types but I feel he gets the short end of the stick in the show. He is a much, much more complex character in the books and I think alot of my friends that watch the series get the wrong impression of him. Thankfully Stephen Dillane plays Stannis exactly how I imagined him and his part in Blackwater was awesome "Hundreds will die... Thousands." Hope that the writers do him justice later on this series...
does anyone have a stream for tonight?
Brettygood, but expect HBO to meddle with the stream.
I don't know. In the books, stannis is iron. The TV series shows him a little weaker. and the thing with his wife [sp]With the fetus in glass jars[/sp] was a little much. I don't even think glass of that quality should exist in westeros.
So I almost finished reading the books (all book spoilers) [sp]Jon is so obviously Azor Ahai; Patrik is the bleeding star, his wound smoked, Bowen Marsh cried salt tears. So well done. Now I just wonder what manner of rebirth he'll have. Presumably he'll be cremated since that's how the Night's Watch handle funerals at which point he'll get Lightbringer? I wonder whether ASOIAF is going to have a happy ending or not. Part of me would love for the Others to win, possibly a couple of straddlers survive in some remote part of the world perhaps.[/sp]
And the stream is closed after 30 seconds :v:
Edit: massive spoilers that might come up in the fifth/sixth book Ghost is a silent wolf that resembles the tree gods. So i imagined that [sp] the reason why ghost is silent is so that jon's voice can be heard when he dies and becomes the wolf[/sp] (Book spoilers)
the brettygood stream doesn't work anymore. it says "this channel was banned" on the screen.
It worked if you refreshed right after it went down the first time. Then my cat jumped on my keyboard and hit F5, refreshing the site again :suicide:
[sp]I really hope they don't downplay Shae and Tywin's death in the TV series, considering they've really sugarcoated Tyrion's relationship with Shae so far.[/sp] [sp]I also hope someone still gets to say the "Lord Tywin Lannister did not, in the end, shit gold." line, because FUCK, it's an awesome line.[/sp] (book/future season 4 episodes spoilers)
Oh that's a tease. Also Jamie Please show some guy love to your brother. Not to your sister...
[sp]ding dong the witch got shot another witch is dead[/sp] [sp]celebrate good times come on joffrey's dead[/sp] [sp]i have never been more happy to witness the death of a fictional being[/sp]
You are going to freak out when you see what happens to [sp]Cersei[/sp] way later in the series, because [sp]she[/sp] gets served.

that ep was pretty meh
[sp]Sandor with the sick burns, Petyr being creepy, Tywin already manipulating Tommen, pretty good episode overall, even though it was mostly reaction to the wedding and setup for later events.[/sp]
Show Tommen is WAY more fit to be a king than book tommen. Hell, show Tommen might actually be the best king of the iron throne in the history of the show (The history of the show goes back to Aegon Targaryen, so it isn't saying much).

I enjoyed the last episode a lot more. The best part though this episode was definately oberyn's.
