Or, you know, because he's a dog
[sp]They can't talk!!![/sp]
Does anyone have the feeling as if the trial won't be that exciting because Tyrion will probably find a way out of it again?

this is adorable

[sp]the trial will be exciting[/sp]
I've just started watching GoT and I've not stopped.
I even took a 5 minute toilet break in work to watch some on my phone. That normal, right?
I have to say, I like how they've changed Vargo. I felt like his fate, and role in the books were to minimal.
His fate was minimal? (books spoils)[sp]Pretty sure he had quite a long drawn out death, didn't the mountain cut of his ears and nose, and then use his flesh to feed the rest of the prisoners?[/sp]
I would say he didn't get off lightly.
"please leave me"
*everyone starts leaving*
"not you jorah"

this also is starting to annoy me, every time somebody asks for the room to be cleared it always happens just to make things seem more dramatic
"everyone except jorah leave please"
"jorah you stay here, everyone leave"
and so on

I don't have the feeling as if it's overdone, and whenever it is done it has logical reason behind it. Daenerys trusts Jorah the most and in that private conversation she set herself up pretty insecurely and vulnerably, which wouldn't be a grand idea to do in front of her entire cabinet.
this is literally the worst cliche ever
whenever an important character is about to lose like that, the same thing happens every single time
Whenever a duel happens, the one who keeps blocking the other guy's blades to taunt him is the one who will lose hard.
Karl literally blocks like four of his opponent's earlier blows to taunt him and tell him he can't fight for shit.
I found it hilarious that in the previous episode Jon was teaching recruits at Castle Black and saying "Some wildlings fight with 2 weapons, here's how you disarm them", and as soon as he fights FOOKING LEGEND he's like "SHIT MY TRAINING DOESN'T WORK"

It's only mentioned offhand to Jaime, not actually shown or anything, and yeah I just finished the latest episode, any kind of Arc they were giving his character was completely thrown out the window along with any semblance of rationality, why did he try and kidnap a character when he wouldn't gain anything from it?
I wonder why they reworked the Eyrie.

I don't like either Eyrie. Neither fit my imagining of it from the books.
I started reading the books after third season and finished the last book a couple of weeks ago
now I cant watch the series because its so bad compared to the books :(

Kind of prefer the newer one personally, it fits the visual design of the series more. The older one is nice too but it seems like something you'd find in lord of the rings, not GoT.
7.2 million, gee. Breaking series-highs weekly.
Even the Eyrie as described in the books is pretty fantastical
[t]http://tednasmith.mymiddleearth.com/files/2012/09/TN-The_Eyrie.jpg[/t]
Not as Middle-Earthian as the show's first design though
Doesn't bother me much either way. Martin said he wanted to write a fantasy, so having fantastical buildings isn't something I take issue with. Especially with magic and dragons roaming around already.
Fantastical environments would bother me more than anything. If I ever see one god damn mushroom tree...
Yeah I mean Casterly Rock is literally a mountain that's been tunnelled out and castled up, and Dragonstone is a castle designed in it's entirety to look like multiple dragons
here's one reason why the changed the eyrie: it relieves my puzzlement over the moon door. i couldn't understand how on earth it was supposed to be architecturally possible in season one
it's a ~15 feet deep pit in the throne room with a metal cover that empties into thin air 600 feet above the ground. this implies that some of the palace is 'flying,' i.e. straddling two supports, likely tall islands of rock (think Iron Islands). the old design showed the eyrie as constructed entirely on one large outcropping, making it difficult to justify the existence of a hole in the floor over nothing. the new design makes it plausible that the throne room is located in the bottom floor of the palace, centered in the span that bridges the gap between the rock pillars.

I thought the same thing when I first saw the hole. However, since we're never shown in exquisite detail where the throne room location is, it's plausible to say it's just situated in such a place that the hole isn't wide enough to see any "supports", such as in the center:

Of course this assumes then that the base of the mountain is hollow, which is very unlikely. The other possibility is the throne room is an overhang on the back of the castle, out far enough to not see the base. That is just as unlikely though.
I'm 99% sure it was just an oversight that has since been corrected, something the world consistency snob in me appreciates. Even though I preferred the season 1 look more.

Huh, didn't even notice that.
What is Hodor's workout routine? I want that head-ripping core strength he has.

Carrying around a boy who can't walk seems to help him

Especially a boy that keeps on growing so fast, look at the actor in season 1 and now, massive difference.
(late season 3 spoilers)
