^bad spoiler tagging, and to answer your question, go to imdb and read the episode names
On the subject of fantastical [t]http://cdn.hbowatch.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/house_baratheon.jpg[/t]
Who the fuck is the little one. Ive been trying to figure it out and I have absolutely no clue.
Gendry?
This is going to be good! (Not that any episode has been particularity bad yet but whatever) Also: It feels that this season is flying by! Episode 6 already.. hard to believe.
DO YOU WISH TO CONFESS??? No... I wish to lean forward dramatically. This is looking to be excellent.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/HMZwi6y.jpg[/t]
Speaking of which when I watched that episode with a friend and that scene came up my friend just started singing this
Oathkeeper Also, The Climb
anyone else notice how fucking blonde Peter Dinklage's hair was in season one?
The first and last episode of each season. They're always the least interesting, especially since the big thing usually happens at episode 9 or 2, never at 1 or 10. [editline]11th May 2014[/editline]
Just finished season 2. [sp]Samwell is dead? Is the dancing instructor from Braavos dead? I was eager to see that romance with the Hound and Sansa play out[/sp]
[sp]The water dancer is confirmed dead. He took down/possibly killed a lot of people with a WOODEN SWORD but then he couldn't do shit against the last guy because he was wearing thick-ass plate armor and his wooden stick did nothing[/sp] [editline]11th May 2014[/editline]
anyone else notice how fucking blonde Peter Dinklage's hair was in season one?
My guess is he had his hair dyed originally to fit the whole "the Lannisters are really, REALLY blonde" and then they downplayed it.
He's not confirmed dead, you take that back!
Greasy haired little bastard. [editline]11th May 2014[/editline] I think the Hound may be one of my favourite characters. The delivery of his lines is just perfect sometimes. I hear he doesn't get that much attention in the books?
He's not confirmed dead, you take that back!
He's dead, Jim
In the books, magic is realy discreet. Pale people with icey armour and swords. Some dead people live an invisible force cuts a throat. A girl drinks a fuckton-hallucinogen and alone goes through a maze. Powerful flamable substance Reptile-avians who can breath fire. You know originaly martin was gonna use medieval flamethrowers rather than dragons. People can use their minds to look through/control others. It's the kind of thing that you could dismiss as non-magical if you were an outside observer. It's all subtle shit. TV show though Draugr A shadow monster made of black gas cuts a throat Fucking telleporting wizards who can use the clone tool. Wargs need to make a big deal out of skin-changing. Oh and that magic vault in quarth pissed me off to no end. Shitty, shitty writing.
Didn't you just describe the same things in different ways? Obviously in the TV show you're gonna see the things so they're not subtly described
He's not confirmed dead, you take that back!
He was last seen fighting a group of gold cloaks, including Meryn Trant, with only a wooden sword His chances are not good.
Gendry?
Gendry doesn't make any sense, especially because he's like 6 feet something and way bigger than Renly and probably stannis. They really fucked that one up.
He was last seen fighting a group of gold cloaks, including Meryn Trant, with only a wooden sword His chances are not good.
Nuhuh, [sp]he is a faceless one and every time we see Meryn Trant, it's actually the First Sword of Bravos.[/sp] Shhh.
So after reading the books, I have come to the conclusion [sp]that R'hllor is either bullshit or evil, At the very least Melisandre is evil as hell, and Stannis isn't much better. The only reason to root for Stannis is because everyone else is a shithead. I mean, he's supposedly all about preventing the apocalypse, but then he goes and tears the realm apart anyways in constant battles. And then when all the fucking people in the Stormlands died in his mummer's farce on the Blackwater, he goes up North to get all the fucking Northerners killed too. Granted, someone has to stop Bolton, because Ramsay would end up killing everyone anyways because he's a complete cunt. Oh, and then most of Salladhor San's men get killed by his volition as well. What a cunt. Melisandre is, of course, preaching about saving the realm and the Lord of Light and shit, but then she urges Stannis to go tear apart the realm they are supposed to save. And of course a lot of her predictions are bogus anyways, like how Stannis lost on the Blackwater. Then she burns innocent people alive just to make Stannis' sword get all glowy and shit. That twat isn't Azor Ahai reborn. I mean, most of you have probably figured this out by now, but reddit has such a raging boner for the Stannis the Mannis-Melisandre double team shit and it is so dumb. They are both clearly evil or out of their minds. Stannis is a teeth-gritting, harsh, Lawful Good paladin type, and Melisandre is just a hypocrite, because apparently "saving" the realm involves tearing it to shreds. I can't even root for Sansa because she would just end being a puppet of Littlefinger. Even if a Stark rules in Winterfell, it will always be under some dickhead like Stannis or Littlefinger or gods forbid, Ramsay Bolton. Those Frey fucks murdered the only king I would ever bow too, the KING IN THE NORTH![/sp]
[sp]I'd bow for Tyrion or Jamie.[/sp]

It isn't necessarily the fact that Stannis tears the realm asunder that irks me, it is that he does it so hypocritically. It's like he is saying "look at all those jackasses tearing shit up while completely ignoring the massive horde or zombies and their glowy masters bearing down from the North. Maybe I should tear the realm apart in more bloody wars!" Stannis, in the end, is just like all the other dipshit despots vying for the throne. The problem is that he has a red priestess/sorceress/witch by his side who is also fucking shit up, and according to her he has a duty to save the realm, yet he goes off and starts killing damn near everyone in it.[/sp]

I don't even recall if he knows anything about them. He's using the red witch to gain the throne - which he sees as rightfully his. From his point of view, the small castle he is in control of is literally the only 'non-rebel' held territory in the Seven Kingdoms and he has to embark on liberating the entire continent. He's not tearing up the realm, he's killing traitors to his crown. Ironically, that's what many of the Five Kings saw the others as, as well. I'm not quite seeing how Stannis is remarkably worse than any other of the Five Kings, especially the Greyjoys and Joff[/sp]

Wasn't that part of the reason for his travelling north?[/sp] [editline]11th May 2014[/editline] [sp]"Lord Seaworth is a man of humble birth, but he reminded me of my duty, when all i could think of was my rights. I had the cart before the horse, Davos said. I was trying to win the throne to save the kingdom, when I should have been trying to save the kingdom to win the throne." "Demons made of snow and ice and cold. The ancient enemy. The only enemy that matters." -The Mannis[/sp]
All these black lines feels like i'm reading classified CIA file!
A lot of stuff, most of it wrong
All books [sp]First and absolutely foremost Melisandre is not trying to save Westeros, she is trying to save the world. The Red Priests sent her to who they determined to be Fire Jesus in order to convince him to convert and what they say. Slight paraphrasing, but "[She] did not cross half the known world to put another vapid king on a hungry throne" Second, Stannis is a dutiful second son, like Ned. He was raised his entire life with the knowledge that Robert would hold Storms End, and if he was lucky he would get a small keep and a knighthood. That's why he declared for Robert, his elder brother and his Lord, before Aerys, his rightful king. And that is why, when Robert died and Cersei's bastard took the throne, he crowned himself. He doesn't want to be king, but it is his unwilling duty and responsibility. As events unfold it's also clear that there are far worse threats to Westeros than the ambitions of House Lannister. Just as, when Brandon died, Ned married Catelyn Tully, so Stannis must fight a war that he has little hope of winning to secure his unwanted throne[/sp]
I'm interested in what the supposed gods are. How many of you believe the gods actually exist, or just see magic as a natural occurrence which people are all too happy to project their own personifications onto things?

"Demons made of snow and ice and cold. The ancient enemy. Lannisters may say they're king through holding the capital but Stannis could claim king by saving the realm. More people will be impressed by the latter. Also, Stannis had no where to go BUT north in his situation. Dorne had, at least openly, declared for Lannisters as well as Tyrells. Greyjoys were still out on their own and the riverlands were devestated by the war. Only the North, kingless and angry toward many BUT Stannis, was the only logical place to go if he wanted to ever try reclaim Westeros.[/sp] [editline]11th May 2014[/editline]
I'm interested in what the supposed gods are. How many of you believe the gods actually exist, or just see magic as a natural occurrence which people are all too happy to project their own personifications onto things?
GRRM isn't going to make a deus ex machina so any actions made by "the gods" will always be done through their human followers. Which means it'll be always in the air whether the gods are real or not, or it's just men with magic of their own. And because of this, I find the matter of whether they're real or not irrelevant because the goals of the gods will always be done through the human characters, real or not.
so does Baelish have any real feelings for "her"? Or he is just using "her" for security and resources?
so does Baelish have any real feelings for "her"? Or he is just using "her" for security and resources?
Hes pretty obsessed.
