how come no one mentioned (book) [sp] The singer wasn't in the room when littlefinger pushed lysa off. Who is he going to blame it on?[/sp]
[sp]They'll blame it on the guy in the background who was playing rains of castamere. What do you mean it's not actually playing in their reality ?[/sp]

Oh my god theyre keeping the best line from the scene. (Book Spoilers Obviously) [sp]Ellaria: "You're going to fight that?" Oberyn:"I'm going to kill that."[/sp] So pumped.
By the way I was looking for info on recasts and such since The Mountain got changed and I wasn't sure, and I found a bunch of random pictures from the cast chilling in Croatia. Now I can't imagine Tyrion without a pair of sunglasses, a backpack and a docker cap.

Dinklage: New Jersey / 10
This is the new mountain's actor, Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, next to Lena Headey Holy tall motherfucker, batman Also is it me or did Lena Headey stop wearing a wig and started dying her hair blonde instead ? I recall cersei's hair was WAY longer in the first season and back then I was sure it was a wig.
He looks so nice I just can't stop seeing him as a big teddy bear instead of the Mountain.
He looks so nice I just can't stop seeing him as a big teddy bear instead of the Mountain.
Well when he's covered in blood after opening a guy's entire belly with one swing of a sword you kind of understand a bit more.
Well when he's covered in blood after opening a guy's entire belly with one swing of a sword you kind of understand a bit more.
IDK even when he was killing those dudes he still looked nice in a weird way, he needs to look angrier like Conan Stevens.
He looks so nice I just can't stop seeing him as a big teddy bear instead of the Mountain.
Met him once in Reykjavík He's one of the nicer people I've met there that's for sure
IDK even when he was killing those dudes he still looked nice in a weird way, he needs to look angrier like Conan Stevens.
[show] [sp]maybe chopping through prisoners and homeless men like warm jello is meditative for him, and when he spoke to Cersei he had just calmed down[/sp] either way yeah, i was way more frightened of Conan Stevens's rage and brutality. first thing he does when he's angered? scream and kill his horse. next thing? scream and try to kill his opponent i hope [SOS/show] [sp]his duel with Oberyn will be nice and satisfying[/sp]

Haha if only Varys looked like that in the show.
That (show)[sp]Oberyn/Mountain duel[/sp] is gonna be just like a dark souls boss fight [sp]No matter how clever and fast you are one hit and you're gibs because fuck balancing[/sp]

why is oberyn doing all those hollywood spins with his spear it looks stupid
[BOOK ASOS] [sp]I don't think I'm ready to see Oberyn die. The brutality of his death is what always gets me and I don't know if getting split in half is better than a smashed head. [/sp]
-nvm figured it out the second I posted- Littlefinger what the fuck, that came out of nowhere
[BOOK ASOS] [sp]I don't think I'm ready to see Oberyn die. The brutality of his death is what always gets me and I don't know if getting split in half is better than a smashed head. [/sp]
[ASOS] [sp]Goddamn Oberyn's death makes me sad and angry if only he didn't let his guard down and not get too close to the Mountain, how could he forget that. if only he just killed Gregor and followed him through all seven hells.[/sp]
Well when he's covered in blood after opening a guy's entire belly with one swing of a sword you kind of understand a bit more.
The brutality came afterwards, when he killed that praying guy with an overhead swing of his sword, BAM. And hacked him after that too in what appeared to be an act of impulse.. They didn't show the corpse obviously (or whatever was left of it.)
I'm unsure how BOOK(ASOS)[sp]they are going to portray the duel. Oberyn in the show said Mountain killed his sister by cutting her in half. In the books it's revealed Montain bashed her head in and he kills Oberyn the same way quickly afterwards. I really want to see Oberyn "defeat" Mountain and then get his head caved in. It's very brutal and shows you Mountain is only harmless when he's dead. But with the murder change we will possibly lose Mountain's taunt OR Oberyn won't actually bring the Mountain to the ground because I can't see him being able to cut Oberyn in half that way.[/sp]

The last episode was really great, it was very enjoyable. I like how things turned out between Sansa and Bealish, also I didn't expect Oberyn to do it. Can't wait to see how the duel will turn out. Also the fire priestess nudity scene felt really unnecessary.
BOOK[sp]People seem to be holding out hope that D&D will pull a Coldhands/Crasters Keep and alter the story to spare Oberyn. I really don't know how that could even work since Oberyn exists solely as a literary device to further Tyrion's story arc. Unless they let him survive but badly wounded, so he's forced to return to Dorne, while Cersei orders Tyrion to be imprisoned anyway and everything basically plays out the same. But that just seems like extra work for no real reason.[/sp]

Spoilers: All [sp] I would love for Oberyn to survive, if even horrendously injured. I found him sadly underutilized, and it is one of the few retcons that I would be perfectly okay with.[/sp]
I find Oberyn to be one of the most memorable but underutilized characters, it's a shame that EVERYTHING SPOILERS [sp]not everyone would be okay with keeping him alive[/sp]
future show spoilers: [sp]Of course Oberyn dies. If he doesn't, Tyrion will be found innocent and won't have to leave for Essos. It would also be a cheap way to keep a character just because he's a fan-favorite.[/sp]

They are repeatedly emphasizing that point in the show.[/sp]
[Book] [sp]Keeping Oberyn alive would be fine with me, though it would make things convoluted later. Out of all the things they've changed from the books this is the first one I'd feel is worth a shit. He has good dynamics with the other characters in the show.[/sp]

Saw this on reddit, figured you guys would appreciate it http://i.imgur.com/8SYZgML.png (Latest ep spoilers, I guess.)
[sp]The theory is that Tyrion knows he's going to get fucking ganked by cersei anyway so he runs away. They are repeatedly emphasizing that point in the show.[/sp]
BOOK AND SHOW spoilers [sp]Tyrion does not know anything more about Cersei and her willingness to kill him than he did before he got arrested. There is no reason for Tyrion to want to make a run for it now when he wouldn't run away before. No, Oberyn has to die like originally thought. What has happened is an actor(Pedro Pascal) has been brought in to play a relatively limited, minor role(Oberyn) and has done an incredible job, he really has. He's done scenes with all the heavyweight actors on this show(Tywin/Cersei/Tyrion) and more than held his own. No one, not me that's for sure, wants to see him go.[/sp] (User was banned for this post ("Book spoilers in spoilers tagged as "show spoilers"" - Swebonny))
