Not realy spoilers, but Contains a character not yet introduced to the show, and i forever must remain overcautious. [sp] Dany is too 'kind' Griff is too 'bold'. [/sp] It's the classic type one and type two error. the male will boldly decide to eat an unknown mushroom and find out it's poison. The female won't eat a mushroom cause she think's it's poison, only that it won't be poison and as a result she'l starve to death (or maybe a predator will eat that mushroom, then her). (yes, that's metaphorical. Only tyrion is offered mushrooms) One character will fuck up by being to decisive. One character will fuck up by being indecisive. The cure: more tyrion. [sp]If tyrion wasn't an ugly dwarf that most distrusted and despised (In the TV show he's kinda good lookin' , but it remains the same) He probably would have won the game of thrones by now and westeros would be fully prepared to shove back any whitewalker invasion. Dany NEEDS tyrion by her side.[/sp]
what the hell dude that's still spoilers
If Tyrion wasn't an ugly dwarf I assume he'd be a lot like Petyr.
I firmly Believe that Tyrions situation is what has made him what he is, and while I still think he would be intelligent he would probably be more like Jaime(who is intelligent yet not in the same sense as Tyrion or Littlefinger). Lets not forget that it was Littlefingers circumstanses that made him the cynical manipulator he is.
what the hell dude that's still spoilers
Not realy, I'm just saying that two characters have serious flaws and that they're likely to suffer immensely because of it. Jamie is very average when it comes to intelligence. It's not down to education, it's simply that jamie is innately less intellegent. Non dwarf tyrion would simply be a tywin that smiles more.
Not realy, I'm just saying that two characters have serious flaws and that they're likely to suffer immensely because of it.
Book spoilers (Same one The Jack has already mentioned) [sp] You're mentioning a character not yet introduced to the show, and plenty of non-bookies don't want to find out about future characters even if they have coded names such as Griff. Your first post referring to him "Not realy a spoiler, but ahead of the show" is mislabeled, we ought to be clear that if it's ahead of the show, it's a book spoiler. (even if it was read off the wiki) Saying this with all appreciation that you did tag it and label it as what it was, we just need to be reeeaaal careful. [/sp]

[sp]Tyrion pretty much kept Ser Alliser Thorne waiting for several days until the dude walked right up in the middle of court when the wight hand was completely decomposed, laughed in his face and offered some shovels. he is like every other southerner who thinks the Others never existed minus Stannis and his army.[/sp]
book [sp]coldhands when[/sp]
book [sp]coldhands when[/sp]
[sp]I don't think they'll ever bring him up.[/sp]
Oh my fucking god, I hope this isn't true. Book spoilers maybe? I think it'll be the book equating to season four: [sp]Apparently Ser Barristan the Bold/Brave, uses his ability to revive people to revive Caitlyn Stark, and she kills Podrick?![/sp] Someone just posted that in the Twitch stream for a League of Legends tournament, the fuck.
Gotta love fake spoilers. :v:
leave danny alone she is like 14
Book 5 spoiler [sp]By book 5, which the show is steadily approaching, she is 17. And I think they pumped up her age a bit even so in the show?[/sp]
Spoiler tag that Scorpious. TV show isn't up to that book yet, you're confirming [sp]people who live.[/sp]
I'm sorry, I hadn't thought of it that way, especially given how book 4 and 5 are organized in relation to each other But better safe than sorry
Oh my god, people, get off your asses and read the fucking books so we can stop pussyfooting around your delicate spoiler sensibilities and just talk about it.
Oh my god, people, get off your asses and read the fucking books so we can stop pussyfooting around your delicate spoiler sensibilities and just talk about it.
Or you could have your grand old discussion outside of film and television
Game of Thrones is an HBO tv series based of the author George RR Martins Song of Ice and Fire series. Discuss both the books and the television show.

[sp]Danny will never die, otherwise the whole story goes to shit with there being no targaryen[/sp] [editline]25th May 2014[/editline] First post of this thread..
I don't think he meant it like they should actually not talk about the books here. Just that the guy has no right to complain about having to spoiler tag book related things in a thread inherently about the show due to it's location.
Shit I just watched Rains of Castamere. Everybody was saying "what a sad episode oh my god" before I got up to the big reveal, but I definitely wasn't expecting that.
leave danny alone she is like 14
Her being slightly older (and older still it appears in the TV show) aside, this was one of things that actually messed up the S4E7 spoilers [sp] scene with Daario and Dany, was anyone else creeped out watching this pretty old dude getting undressed for this not-quite-18-year-old.. even though I understand it's totally normal in time-period context? But then again I'm not upset by the incest, so uhhh. [/sp]
I'm sure it's not uncommon for medieval times.
Or you could have your grand old discussion outside of film and television
I bet $20 that anyone who makes a ASOIAF thread outside of this section will get it closed due to "there's already a thread".
The answer you all dread : [sp]It's true.[/sp]
God dammit that's ... so dumb. I thought it'd be a joke spoiler but :'( [editline]25th May 2014[/editline]
wat [sp] no that isn't even close. it's beric dondarrion who brings her back because he is tired of being revived, thoros of myr is the guy with the special revival kiss powers. barristan is with dany. he's on the other side of the goddamn world.[/sp] jesus christ show watchers can be fucking stupid sometimes. i blame it on the show not pointing out the names of the characters more often.
That one is my bad, my friend is a book reader and he mixes up Barristan and Beric all the time, he's kindly passed that along to me, leading to the unholy triage of Beric Barristan of the Brotherhood of Broken Banners. I'm going to write a fan-fic and get all the names wrong!
RIP, we still have over 170 hours to the new episode instead of like 7
The answer you all dread : [sp]It's true.[/sp]
You gotta be fucking kiddin' me?
You gotta be fucking kiddin' me?
Book spoilers, and future show spoilers obviously, for those dying to know. Ye be warned. [sp]It's a huge simplification. The Brotherhood finds Catelyn, and Beric Dondarrion sacrifices his life to revive her. She is now batshit insane (she snaps in her final moments after seeing Robb die), and looks like a mummy because she has spent a couple of days floating down the river her body was dumped in. She also sounds like a flushing toilet when she talks because her throat was cut. After joining the Brotherhood she begins a blood-fueled vengeance against anybody who ever wronged her family, directly or indirectly. She gets a hold of Pod (as he was Tyrion's squire), but nothing is known past that.[/sp]
book [sp]oh no I forgot about that don't hurt Pod! :([/sp]

Felt like something I'd see on fanfiction.net "WHAT IF CATELYN CAME BACK TO LIFE AND TRIED TO AVENGE EVERYONE SHE LOVED?!". Like it really made me grimace the first time I realized what Martin was doing with her.[/sp]

Very Martinesque the whole time. [/sp]
