I keep seeing people here and there through this thread say Sansa looked really good last episode. For someone who doesn't have HBO, how did she look different from any other time?
(SHOW) [sp]He only fed information for a short while (he stopped spying when he received the royal pardon I believe) compared to the time he's been by her side and basically ensured her constant survival and eventual thriving.Yes, his motives were impure at the start and had she found out then it'd been justified to kick him out. But there was a very clear change in loyalty for him, a very significant one, which has kept the upper hand since only shortly from the start of his service to her. Without him she'd have been dead or in a gutter on many occassions, his advise was essential.[/sp] [sp]And she's aware Robert is dead.[/sp]
[sp]The pardon was signed on the day Jorah and Daenerys met and we just saw him receiving it so wouldn't that mean he in fact had been spying the entire time?[/sp] [sp]And even if she knows the people responsible for House Targaryen's destruction are dead, there's still the matter of him spying for her biggest enemy, that's not something she can or should forgive easily.[/sp]

But in this ep she ended up telling a really decent lie and getting away with it saving both her ass and littlefingers ass. At the end she put on a dress that was really out there. What i got from this ep about her she is finally learning how to play the game and is going to start doing so. [/sp]

episode 8 spoilers oc by me
Great episode except for the Jaime/Tyrion scene. Too long and rather boring. Loved everything else.

I checked the wiki and it seemed I legitimately forgot[sp]he got his pardon way back in season 1. In my defense, it was way back in season 1.[/sp]
Great episode except for the Jaime/Tyrion scene. Too long and rather boring. Loved everything else.
but.. smash the beetles

I'm sure [sp]Tyrion will somehow manage to escape death. Jaime and/or Lord Varys will help him.[/sp]
SHOW [sp]Oberyn died happy. He didn't really give a shit about Tyrion, he had spent his life preparing himself for the inevitable showdown with Gregor to get a confession, and he had got one. [/sp]
I disagree. SHOW[sp]He wanted justice, payback, for what happened. He wanted EVERYONE involved to get what's coming to them. This is why he kept insisting on a confession from the Mountain. He wanted a public outing of all involved and then he was going to kill each one in turn. By dying at this fight he has lost any hope of ever getting that justice, his family has lost that hope. The Mountain is a henchman, just a guy carrying out orders, Oberyn wanted the guy giving the orders too. This was barely above the worst possible outcome for Oberyn, the worst outcome of course being not even killing the Mountain in the fight.[/sp]
Latest episode show spoilers. Welp now I like Arya 500% more.

you should know by now to abandon all hope whenever it seems like anything positive is gonna happen
A while ago some fucker online told me that [sp]Tyrion is gonna die,[/sp] but at least he didn't specify how. I still have hope that he was trolling. But sure ain't looking good..
he dies a peaceful death as the king of westeros spoilers
And we may obviously disregard this blatant troll spoiler, but... I think you also may have just crushed my hopes.
[sp] This show is going to run out of likeable characters by the end of this season. God fucking damn it, I want to slap whatever is left of Oberyn's face. What a stupid, cocky moron. Not only did he manage to get himself killed because of pure stupidity and his uncontrollable emotions, he also pretty much directly killed off another one of the best characters on the show. [/sp] 10/10 episode.
BOOK [sp]I think it might have been mentioned already in this thread but for anyone who missed it, there was a PARTIAL "leak" of the Season 5 casting call and it included some very interesting names. Link here: http://winteriscoming.net/2014/05/23/characters-confirmed-game-thrones-season-5-new-details/ . Just to reiterate this is a partial list and that some characters have already been cast, so they wouldn't appear on any casting calls. Dornish storyline + Cersei going mental, all we would need is the Kingsmoot/Ironborn storyline and Season 5 could be the best season so far.[/sp]
Well, at least this series isn't like Spartacus where I literally jumped out the window after the 3rd season. Can you imagine a season finale where 4 of your last remaining favorite characters die off? [sp]Oenomaus, Ashur, Ilithyia and Lucretia, bringing the child to his dead husband in the afterlife. Absolutely fucking beautiful, and that's where the series ended for ME.[/sp]
BOOK SPOILER [sp] Did anybody else notice the foreshadowing in episode 8? Petyr says "People die at their dinner tables, they die in their beds, they die squatting over their chamber pots..." Loved it. [/sp]
Last few pages are like
And we may obviously disregard this blatant troll spoiler, but... I think you also may have just crushed my hopes.
[Bullshit spoilers] [sp]Tyrion is actually the descendant of Isildur and heir to the crown of Men he unites the rebel alliance and finally kills Alduin with the help of his faithful companion Iago[/sp]
BOOK/Latest episode (S04E08) SHOW [sp]There's one thing that keeps bugging me. I need to rewatch the fight but to me the Mountain didn't seem as dangerous as I hoped. How much does the Mountain appear in the books to this moment? And are we told of more events that would describe his strength? Because in the show we got the perfect Mountain scene in season 1, then in season 2 we got a guy who was just tall. I'm not sure if Gregor was in season 3 but finally in season 4 Mountain comes back, he's huge again but he has a very friendly face and all he does is slaughter few hobos. What I'm trying to say is in the show I kind of forgot what Gregor was capable of and in the fight itself he didn't fight too well until the very end.[/sp]
