Honestly, for all you show watchers out there. It doesn't get any better. As a book reader, I got really fed up with the books during book 4, every time theres a chance for redemption it's just crushed effortlessly. It's incredibly boring, while at the same time still being frustrating. At this point I'm really fed up with downer endings.
I don't get this attitude. Imagine for a moment things went good. The story is over. For instance, if Ned Stark had come out on top and got his way, the show is over right there. I think the trick is to make sure that no matter what happens, the audience is still invested in the story and still wants to see more. I think the show has accomplished this. Look back at season 1. Look at who the main characters were, and what the main plotline was. Now look at the last few episodes. It's like an entirely different show! And yet it's still as compelling to watch, if not more compelling. This would not be possible without turmoil(ie downers).
Question [sp]what is it foreshadowing[/sp]
BOOK [sp]Tywin's death while he was trying to produce gold according to the legend...[/sp]
So I showed my older brother (show)[sp]Oberyn's death.[/sp] "Ohohohoooo, awesome!" I think I should fear for my life.
show [sp] my mom told me it was awesome and that she had to rewind right then and watch it again [/sp] yikes
My parents and I screamed in horror and flailed all over the sofa when SHOW [sp]Oberyn's head exploded[/sp]. the neighbour's must think we were murdered or something
show [sp] my mom told me it was awesome and that she had to rewind right then and watch it again [/sp] yikes
Pack your shit and get the fuck out while you still can.

At that point i was like "Oh fuck, ohshit, nooooooo". Then his head got exploded, my jaw dropped and i took me a good while to process what had happened.[/sp]
book [sp]does tywin die next episode[/sp]
book [sp]does tywin die next episode[/sp]
Episode 10 probably, if my list is right (Which it has been so far).
BOOK [sp]Coldhands was already removed, a cast member confirmed it in an interview Mountain v Red Viper is 4x08 The fall is 4x07 (we can see the part where lysa threatens sansa with the moon door in the preview) Attack on the wall is 4x09, the big closer of the episode will be stannis' men fucking shit up and saving the day. Tywin lannister would be near the end of 4x10. Jon becoming commander will be THE end of 4x10, like the final scene. Kill the boy inside you will be next season.[/sp] This is what my money is on. Betting ten bucks on this.
One amendment, Book spoilers. [sp]Lady Stoneheart will be the VERY VERY end of the season, with Jon becoming commander right before that.[/sp]
SHOW [sp]It might be pointless because who knows if Gregor survives but I wish they gave the Mountain armor that didn't instantly scream bad guy. In show he wears all black but I would prefer something like this: http://awoiaf.westeros.org/images/4/4a/Komarck_Gregor_Clegane_FFG.jpg[/sp]
who plays Gregor? if i remember right he won the worlds strongest man a couple times.
Hafthor Bjornson. I'm missing out the special characters but I think that's how it's pronounced at least.
Show[sp] What an amazing episode, somehow it felt much better than anything else. Like some people mentioned, the cinematography was amazing and it just felt so great. There were some absolutely great moments in this episode. Sansa telling the wrong story and later walking down the stairs, being all badass. Ramsay becoming a full fledged Bolton. Jorah being absolutely destroyed by blondie. Then the fight which looked incredible, Oberyns moves were absolutely amazing. Unfortunately I spoiled myself and knew how it was going to end, still it was brutal. I really feel sorry for Jorah, he's one of my favorite side characters. He's an amazing fighter, counselor and friend. Sad to see him go, but overall I hope we will see more of him but in a different role. I can't stand Deanerys.[/sp]

I really hope we'll get to see (SHOW) [sp]Jorah in a different setting, instead of him just disappearing from the show.[/sp]
SHOW [sp]Hey, better exile than friendzone.[/sp]
Show [sp]I was actually expecting underwhelming and I got overwhelming. That was a rekt'ing for the ages.[/sp] Book [sp]I really hope they don't change the way the Mountain gets his[/sp]
so [sp]is the mountain dead? did he succumb after the whole head explodey?[/sp] [sp]man what a downer ending. i had rob's death spoiled for me, but i'd imagine that was quite a downer too. but the way the mountain, a guy who's played up to be a big fucking asshole, totally destroys probably the most likeable character in the show right now, totally gets you down.[/sp]
Don't read if you want to spoil the Mountains Fate: BOOK [sp]He's not[/sp]
Show [sp]I thought that it was pretty clear that the Mountains death was already sealed once he got hit for the first time by the poisoned blade of Oberyns spear. We also see a brief scene where someone is putting poison on the blade itself right before the fight.[/sp]

Cus IDK, seems weird for Oberyn to put poison on a spear, when he wants the Mountain to confess.[/sp]

show [sp]i really hope cersei and tywinn get their fucking comeuppance[/sp] at SOME POINT
That episode was pretty intense but I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep until I get this question answered. [sp]Do they chop off both the pillar and the stones?[/sp]
Show: [sp] You sure the guy wasn't just polishing the blade? Cus IDK, seems weird for Oberyn to put poison on a spear, when he wants the Mountain to confess.[/sp]
Show: [sp]My guess would be that The Mountain could've been poisoned even though Oberyn wanted him to confess. There are lots of different poisons that he could've used, some slower working than others.[/sp]
Show: [sp] You sure the guy wasn't just polishing the blade? Cus IDK, seems weird for Oberyn to put poison on a spear, when he wants the Mountain to confess.[/sp]
[sp]a safe assumption would be that it's just insurance, incase Oberyn lost the fight. That way, no matter what outcome, he'd still get his revenge on the mountain if he got at least one good hit in.[/sp]

Show spoilers [sp]that was so intense. All my doubts about this were smashed. I knew the outcome but my heart was fucking racing. Best scene of the entire fucking show.[/sp]
show [sp]smash the printh[/sp]
