the fucking nod.
they could have handled [sp] ygritte's death [/sp] waaaaaaay better
[sp]She should have just dropped dead or at least not say anything due to a fucking arrow having pierced her lungs. Pyp's death and Sam's reaction to it was more fitting for Ygritte than what Ygritte got.[/sp]
[sp]I wish we could have seen the giants get in an actual close fight and start throwing people around and shit The feeble arrow shot followed by the fucking harpoon from the giant was great though, that guy got destroyed[/sp]
I didn't think they could beat the battle of Blackwater in terms of the just the sheer scale of a single episode of television. I was dead wrong. That was goddamn movie quality. It was the most expensive episode of the whole series, and it was worth every single penny.

That was a great episode and despite it being around 50 minutes, I didn't feel it dragged at all. SHOW/episode 9 spoilers:[sp]Which is a huge plus because the whole siege was very nicely paced and seeing the Giants, Mammoths and the really great fights was amazing. The fight choreography was really tight in this and I liked how savagely and brutal the wildlings fought, especially the big bad Jon Snow fought. Kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Ygritte's death would have worked better if they didn't do the whole 'last talk' thing. It wasn't terrible but I would have appreciated it if her death was more sudden and abrupt. Movies have trouble making a really good 20+ minute battle scene already so props to the team for doing it better than a lot of movies with bigger budgets and more time.[/sp]
show [sp]that long panorama-view scene across the battlefield must've taken so much coordination, that was amazing[/sp]
finale to be 66mins BOOK+show [sp] i doubt they can cover tyrion , stannis arriving, lady stoneheart, bran and daenerys in a single episode [/sp] http://winteriscoming.net/2014/04/26/hbo-releases-season-4-finale-episode-title-extended-runtime/

Its not impossible to fit Stannis arrival and bran in there[/sp]
SHOW [sp] Say what you like about him, Alliser Thorne is a total fucking badass [/sp]
SHOW [sp]at this point, after fucking that douche and kicking our jorrah, does anyone even like Dany anymore?[/sp]
She's entitled, like her brother. Like when she insisted to Jorah that her army would continue to follow her because she's the Khaleesi, and Khaleesi are followed. And then she's totally fine with slavery and slaughter UNTIL one of the victims is a woman, which makes her this great moral leader or something? Not to mention we don't see any of the consequences of her victories, just a "all the slave-owners are dead, yay". Nothing about the economic aftermath of completely changing the social order of things, has she secured the farmlands? Nothing. Also, I don't remember if the Dothraki are still with her, but surely if they are they can't be too happy about being replaced as her main force by eunuch infantrymen. Not that we hear much of any of this in the show, it's all "Oh Khaleesi you're so perf" all the time.
can't stop watching this, and laughing at the shot with those 2 guys looking at the wall

I hope I'm not the only person who, at the end of that episode, went [sp]"Tormund Giantsbane has entered a martial trance!!!" "The flying bolt hits Tormund Giantsbane in the right shoulder, tearing the skin and bruising the fat!" "Tormund Giantsbane looks pale!" "Tormund Giantsbane has been struck down."[/sp]

Lots of Cineplex cinemas are going to be showing the finale on the big screen. Might just have to hit one up. Not many times you get to watch Game of Thrones in a theatre.
Fairly sure that (SHOW) [sp]now that Jorah's gone we'll get to see a bit of a downfall for Daenerys, at least to some extent.[/sp]
future show: [sp]It's an integral part of her arc, so yeah.[/sp]
That episode was pretty awesome. Just to think one more ep and then we got to wait an eternity.
show (but no spoilers really just a review but tagging just in case): [sp] Am I the only one who found that episode to be a bit too underwhelming? Yeah, sure, you had these fancy CGI scythes, giants, mammoths and shit, but overall it just came out as a really rushed and disjointed portrayal of a supposedly huge battle. I was really hyped for this one to come out too, since this is the penultimate episode and we all know shit **always** goes down at the ninth episode, but it just fell flat and left me somewhat disappointed. [/sp]

[/sp]
I disagree completely. The battle itself was fucking awesome, the only thing I didn't like was that the story didn't really progress at all, sure (show)[sp]a bunch of Jon's friends died, but I didn't even know their names.[/sp]
I loved the cinematics and some scenes were absolutely stunning but I also felt a bit disappointed that the entire episode was about the Nightwatch and the wall. Maybe it's just me but I'm so curious about what's going to happen to Tyrion :v:
I honestly didn't enjoy the episode too much, or at least I didn't giggle like a girl like most other episodes. [sp]It was mostly fighting and fighting and fighting the whole episode, got a bit repetitive. And that death was kinda meh as shit, too. "You know nothing, Jon Snow." Really? Just my opinion[/sp] That huge, single, continuous shot was pretty fucking nice, though.
Yeah (show)[sp]Ygritte's death scene was dumb as shit, they just had to bring back the line in what I think was an attempt to please the fans but it was just cheesy as fuck.[/sp]
[sp]Sam asking for Jon to come back... [/sp] Guess we know who's not coming back, then

[next episode][sp]Aw goddamnit that thumbnail spoils who Arya and Hound meet.[/sp]
Aw goddamnit that thumbnail spoils who Arya and Hound meet.
Ep 10 I guess [sp]Not unless you study it, so pointing it out probably isn't the best idea.[/sp]
Aw goddamnit that thumbnail spoils who Arya and Hound meet.
How the hell can you tell who that is just from their shoulder?
[sp]Not unless you study it, so pointing it out probably isn't the best idea.[/sp]

How the hell can you tell who that is just from their shoulder?
[next episode][sp]Few scenes were focused on that armor, I remember that shoulder pad clearly and seeing it on a still picture makes it even more obvious.[/sp]

[next episode][sp]Well then I better spoiler tag it before people get ideas.[/sp][sp]But it's really obvious[/sp]
