Next season is going to be like all new stuff in some manners.
Show spoilers[sp]Tyrion killing those two was just as good as I had hoped it would be.[/sp]

Book spoilers [SP]NO STONEHEART! WHAT IS THIS, NOOOOOOOO[/sp]
Seriously amazing season. They changed quite a lot from the books and it'll be really interesting to see where it goes now. But it was fantastic! It felt REALLY rushed that episode though. They missed a ton of detail out which kinda sucks.
book spoil [sp]however, they really dropped the buck not having the end scene be the Lady Stoneheart reveal IMO. That would have been such a shock season cliffhanger, people would have gone insane over it. Plus they totally fucked up the whole Tysha and Tyrion swearing to take revenge on Jaime. I feel like that isn't going to be a big thing in the book now, which was something I was REALLY looking forward to. Plus, Varys going with Tyrion? D&D what are you doing, please don't panic because he hasn't finished the book and make up your own shitty version instead..[/sp]
anyone else hate that finale?
[sp]they killed off one of my favorite characters and kept Brienne[/sp]
also most of the dialogue up until the end was dreadfully boring
Maybe part of it was due to (If you think about it enough it may be a book spoiler) [sp]the actress being busy with other roles. I know she's in the new 24 season and I'm not sure what else. Regardless that was pretty hype.[/sp]

A good rule for game of thrones, if you don't see them die, they probably aren't dead.
Book spoilers [sp]And even then... thats not the case[/sp]

Maybe he meant show spoiler[sp] Jojen :v: [/sp]
awesome ep
show [sp]sad about the hound tho[/sp]
So not really anything I was expecting.
Eh, it was cool overall.
That was very disappointing, coming from a book point of view.

Have to agree. As a show watcher it was fantastic. As a book reader, I feel they've changed WAY too much :/
But I'm probably just being really picky
Might be one of my favourite episodes from this series
After ASOS I sort of lost interest but I did read both AFFC and ADWD, so far I think the show might be handling things much better. AFFC was so boring and it really broke up the whole movement of the story.
(SHOW) [sp]That scene with Tywin felt really off for me. Tywin's supposed to be way smarter than the dumb demeanor he showed off there (i.e. calling Shae a whore multiple times, obviously trying to manipulate Tyrion so utterly blatantly that it seemed unreal, etc.) and it really felt as a disservice to the character.[/sp]
Well, time for me to read the books while I wait.
Just waiting for book one to arrive. My brother has books 2-5, but he loaned book one to a friend, but he hasn't given it back yet, and he's on the opposite side of the country now.

Also thanks to the one of you who joined my last-minute steam chat. :v:
I'm slightly surprised over the fact that they SHOW/BOOK[sp]killed off Jojen already, though that seems to be his rapidly approaching fate anyways in the books[/sp].
Also the SHOW[sp]Brienne vs the Hound[/sp] fight was awesome, even if it was a kinda queer deviation. The fact that they also kept the outcome the same as in the book is interesting.
Everything else couldn't have been better, and seeing SHOW[sp] the three eyed raven and his place (not to mention the children/child and the fight before that)[/sp] was really cool.

Haha, not at all. Show and Book, [sp]Tywins hatred for Tyrion blinds him to such a degree that he can't think clearly about anything involving him, he tries not to say spiteful words, but his own rage gets the better of him in the end.
Tywin is not a master of disguise and trickery, he's not like Petyr Baelish of Varys, his motives are always very clear.[/sp]

Pride

You know what was even more disappointing?
How (Show spoilers that differed from book) [sp]Jaime fucked Cersei in the Kingsguard's chambers. Like oh my God, he straight up shoved the White Book aside and mounted her right on the Round Table.[/sp]
My favorite episode, ever.

SHOW [sp] I really don't want the hound to die, he's just too damn good and if gregor lives I want him to be the one to kill him[/sp]
this episode tried so hard. so much of the dialogue was so predictable i just didnt even care what was happening anymore, i think that was one of the worst episodes of the series
in fact ive liked this show less and less for a while now, first two seasons were my favorite personally
my friend just gave me this picture and said, "this is what D&D did to the book readers"
oh jeeez

So, to all you people who honestly though that (SHOW) [sp]Shae was not being a spiteful whore when she testified against Tyrion[/sp], how do you feel now?
Haha, not at all. Show and Book, [sp]Tywins hatred for Tyrion blinds him to such a degree that he can't think clearly about anything involving him, he tries not to say spiteful words, but his own rage gets the better of him in the end.

(SHOW) [sp]I guess, and I agree to some extent, but this was a bit too much in my opinion. I do agree with Ridley though, pride is a more solid justification. RIP.
Also, why did Tywin sleep with Shae? Really didn't see that one coming.[/sp]
Also, (SHOW) [sp]Jesus, that Children of the Forest stuff was really out of this world, but also really cool.[/sp]
SHOW
[sp] "SAY WHORE AGAIN, I DARE YOU. I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU MOTHERFUCKER SAY WHORE ONE MORE GOD DAMN TIME"[/sp]
Of course, I may be paraphrasing
Biggest disappointment was (Book spoilers) [sp]no Lady Stoneheart, by far. Second biggest was The Mountain not really getting what's coming to him. In the books, Oberyn kinda gets the last laugh since Gregor's death is incredibly long and painful. In the show it seems to just be, "YEP, HE GOT POISONED. LET'S FRANKENSTEIN HIM." Unless he goes through the pain in the next season, but that's not the order of the books.
Also, no Jon Snow as Lord Commander of the Night's Watch?[/sp]

From a purely show perspective, still a pretty good finale.

BOOK 3 and SHOW 4 [sp]I haven't watched season 4 yet, but seriously? That was a very crucial part of his change, and the end of his and Cersei's relationship.[/sp]
