Laddy, I'm well aware of the meaning of 'spot on'.
I was commenting on the fact they do not look exactly the same. Not even a bit.
Yeah really.
Book 3 spoilers: [sp]I've already had friends who've guessed that Walder Frey is gonna betray Robb because of the shit that people who think they're sly say online.[/sp]
book 3 spoilers [sp]people who watch the show should really avoid game of thrones related stuff. i'm watching it with a friend who doesn't know what happens, and i look forward to watching him choke his shit when robb dies lol.[/sp]

[sp]but it's been long past the point that this thread was overrun with people who have read the books, and love posting hints and shit, assholes[/sp]
^You should still clarify book spoilers even though it's a reply with a quote

Wow, he really looks like eddard at first glance!

This is the only clip you'll need to stop you from taking any scene with Tywin seriously ever again.
Wow, he really looks like eddard at first glance!
My first impression was that he sounds just like Tyrion.
spoilers for all books only read if you have read all of em
[sp]i just realised that now that theon is one of the 'main characters' in TWOW, much of his story has been built up with Ramsay, and boiling towards a final conflict. + the battle in the snow between the bastard and Stannis, theon being a prisoner of Stannis's, it will most likely result in an end to that conflict.[/sp]

[sp]I'm kind of hoping they capture Ramsay and give him to Theon for a bit before they inevitably burn him[/sp]
[editline]25th May 2013[/editline]
[sp]But then again, GRRM doesn't like poetic justice like that in his books, so I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't happen.[/sp]

Book 5 and 6 spoilers: [sp] Why would they give Ramsay to Theon? Theon's going to be beheaded because the northmen wouldn't be loyal to stannis if he showed Theon any kind of mercy.[/sp]

It was wishful thinking, really.

Panel show with Tywin Lannister in it, good for some laughs
Holy shit, I didn't know there was a new season of WILTY, this is awesome.

Glad I didn't watch it before meeting the man yesterday :v:
Why do they not broadcast shows like GoT on holidays? Would it really destroy the viewerbase that much just because they are off work?

they aired blackwater last season and it had a 13% viewer dip from the week before, even though it was the most anticipated episode,
if i look at it from a business point of view, it's a good move.
if i look at it from a fan point of view, god damn it benioff get your fucking shit together.

[sp]I don't believe that Stannis will kill Theon, primarily because he's my favourite character and I don't want him to but surely they'll find some use for him, + idk maybe he's part of some prophecy, after all Theon 'water' and Stannis 'fire' w/e [/sp]
After starting to read the 5th book, I realized something kinds interesting, though I guess not that surprising.
Book 5 spoilers, obviously: [sp] It seems that every single character who's the PoV of the prologue dies, that guy from the night's watch was killed by eddard, stannis' maester died from his own poison, dirk has dies too I think, though I actually can't remember now, pate dies, and so does varamyr sixskins I guess. I don't really know what sort of impact does this have on the story, maybe it just helps with the general feeling of how everyone dies, aka, valar morghulis. [/sp]

You just now realized that? :v:
I only ask that the show find an excuse to pull the actual Others in and make them as they are:
How can you call the got white walker shit

It's not shit, it looks amazing.
But it doesn't match the book's description at all, which is a shitty thing to do.
neither does a lot of shit apparently, deal w/ it
let the showrunners take some artistic license man
Boo fuckin hoo
Honestly that depiction looks like it would be lame in a tv show anyway
its too over the balls magic looking

That's kind of the point of the look, I believe. They're magical creatures in a land where magic is almost legend and mythical.
[editline]26th May 2013[/editline]
And as if dragons, the number 1 magical creature in all fantasy mythos, aren't magical looking at all.

it looks like something off a prog rock album cover from the 1970s

dragon's aren't made of magic glowing energy
they're pretty believable creatures.

Artistic license and Autistic license are two sides of the same coin. Don't encourage them!

They're magical creatures. They aren't suppose to be believable, they're fantasy.
lizards with wings don't look that magical
They point is, White Walkers have a magical look to them when magic in the present day of the novel is borderline myth. I'm fairly certain it has a point in being so.
