i reported him. and the others. apparently it's not enough trolling to warrant bans.
Frankly if I hadn't already read the books I just wouldn't read this thread at all. [editline]2nd June 2013[/editline]
i reported him. and the others. apparently it's not enough trolling to warrant bans.
full-on spoilers are against the rules iirc
CUNT
you're a tosser
I doubt he gives a shit about getting banned due to joining in march this year
He won't be coming back.
I doubt he gives a shit about getting banned due to joining in march this year
doesn't really matter, the probably won't care enough to join again. plus, the other posts really should be deleted. [sluggo]'s and the others.
Hi guys, can we please stop treating spoiler tags as completely optional? If you're posting a book spoiler, specify the book or be sure that the book is specified in a post you are quoting. If it's a show spoiler, specify the season and episode. Even cryptic things like (Book 3)[sp]Woah that wedding tonight sure will be craaaazy eh???[/sp], it's painfully obvious something will happen and it spoils it. And if you're posting information from the books that has yet to be in the show, tag it, even if it's something minor like mentioning a character is still alive in book four when you expect them to die in season two.
They aren't optional at all in this thread.
can you people stop fucking [sp]ruining the surprise for me by hyping everything up you shit heads[/sp]
People seem to forget this is a thread for the TV show, not the books and have a tendency to do things like mentioning character names outside of spoilers and then only tagging half of it even if they are talking about something in Book 5. I don't want to know who is still alive in book 5, with a show/book with as many deaths as this, a character living is just as big a spoiler as them dying. Also joking about something that is going to happen as if people who haven't read the books won't be able to interpret it after each of you have repeated the same joke 50 times.
it would be much simpler if book discussion was banned entirely from this thread.
it would be much simpler if book discussion was banned entirely from this thread.
there should probably just be a general ASOIAF thread in the GD, where the show can be discussed also.
Book discussion would dry up really fast though, we all know the theories and shit. There's book discussion in these threads because we talk about the changes etc the TV show makes.

I can't believe that in book 5 Jon gets [sp]a new hat[/sp]! Totally shocked me!" really annoy me, too. Personally I think the entire thread should be spoiler-tagged. Like, even on the front page it wouldn't say "Game of Thrones Thread", it would just say ██████████████████████
Book discussion would dry up really fast though, we all know the theories and shit.
it would be much simpler if book discussion was banned entirely from this thread.
the forum of ice and fire is much better for discussing the books. mostly everyone who posts here about the books just wants to feel special [editline]2nd June 2013[/editline] except me of course, i actually am a pretty special person
it would be much simpler if book discussion was banned entirely from this thread.
I don't really think we need to ban book talk entirely, just if you're posting book spoilers for stuff that hasn't happened in the tv show yet use spoiler tags, don't make it too obvious what you're talking about, and clarify outside of the tags that it's a book spoiler. Basically this post. I think that's a good enough solution.
That is what the rules have always been but there are still people who don't follow them properly. Plus no one ever seems to specify the book if they are responding to someone else so if someone asks a question about the books it turns into a bit of a minefield.
so is this week the season finale? or is that next week?

I pay for HBO to watch this online and the damn player just stops in the middle of scenes, takes minutes to buffer, randomly kills the resolution/quality immensely. I can't be the only one that gets these horrible issues with HBOGo can I? [sp]Oh my God when Ser Piggy was called a Wizard I was so damn happy.[/sp] EP9

Well... that was... something... Truthfully, that was the most boring episode yet. C-

Wow...just wow.

[sp]I like how some randie slit Catelyn's a good twenty seconds after she slit the wife's throat, it was like: "...Nobody else is going to do it? Really? Alright I'll do it I guess... way to pick up the slack guys."[/sp]
