I get a little bothered by some of the changes. But like... i feel as if some characters are done... realy shitly in the tv series in comparison to the books... but at the same time there are a few characters who are better in the tv series. A few are the same... Jamie, davos.. but still
Book danny- Hard-working, generous leader.
Tv danny- Crazy bitch.
Book jon - honourable, solem but occasionally humorous... (rather like Ned)
Tv jon - portrayed as the lead stark child and at the wall as a disloyal, arrogant prick.
Book arya (by far my favourite character) willfull, dangerous, cunning.. at the begining she's described as unattractive and by the end people are calling her pretty and comparing her to her aunt (who was supposed to be so attractive that Robert and Rhaegar went to war for her.)
Tv arya- Stupid child (even though she's older) who's likely to remain unattractive.
On the plus side, i find brienne agonizing to read, though i like her more in the tv series.
oh man u called daenarys a crazy bitch, haven't heard that one before, man you are so cool
oh man u called daenarys a crazy bitch, haven't heard that one before, man you are so cool
idk man she is a crazy bitch?? what is your problem seriously do you have an irrational hatred of books or something???
It was one of the most heart-wrenching, not only this season. All those scenes [sp]Jon Snow with Ygritte (I have a bad feeling she will betray him), probably the biggest one - Jaime being a human with emotions, Arya and that Baratheon's bastard, killing young Lannisters for nothing, Stannis having a daughter, and Onion Knight's relationship with her, so lovely.
And that last scene, fucking hell. I thought that Jaime losing his hand was hell of a twist, but marrying Tyrion with Sansa and Cersei with Tyrell; woah, fuck. That was just beyond my thinking.
I loved/hated how both of them were equally mad and disappointed with their father[/sp]
idk man she is a crazy bitch?? what is your problem seriously do you have an irrational hatred of books or something???
I read all the books, what the fuck are you talking about
[editline]29th April 2013[/editline]
anyways, how is Dany crazy? Please elaborate
oh man u called daenarys a crazy bitch, haven't heard that one before, man you are so cool
Or, he actually just thinks she's a crazy bitch, why would anyone say that to look cool...
My god, amazing episode. [sp]Jamie's scene was so great. I can only hope the episodes manage to get better knowing what's coming.[/sp]
I thought few last scenes were a little bit rushed. To the point and clear but a bit fast.
Brutus has a really big "ssscchh" sound coming out of his mouth all the time.
"Martain Lansschtischter".
whenever they talk about Loras i'm just like Kingsguard cant marry. fuck
whenever they talk about Loras i'm just like Kingsguard cant marry. fuck
Yeah, but it's a timesaver, I understand why they skipped the whole (b3) [sp]Loras's lame brother story, there's no time to elaborate on such, so it's easier just to tie in a already existing character, [/sp]
and is Loras in the kingsguard in the series at all? I could have easily forgotten, but is it mentioned that he's in that position?
[editline]29th April 2013[/editline]
Also, [sp] I wanted to see Patches [/sp] :C
Hearing [sp]Shireen[/sp] singing the songs still made my blood turn to ice. I'm glad they included it in that way at least.
is it me or was there eerie music playing when Karstark said "you'll be cursed forever". gave me chillies up my spine
Is there some importance to [sp]the song Shireen sang[/sp]?
Is there some importance to [sp]the song Shireen sang[/sp]?
Non Plot-spoiling from Book 3: [sp]Not really, it's a creepy song that Dragonstone's fool, Patches sings constantly in the books, his is a tragic tale. He was a great fool, who made lords and ladies alike laugh with impressive acrobatics and clever quips, but the ship who sent him to Dragonstone sank on the cliffs and treacherous waters surrounding the keep. There was though to be no survivors, but several weeks after the ship sank Patches was washed up on shore. It is rumored between the men of Dragonstone thet a mermaid rescued him, in exchange for his seed. Now grey and pasty, the sea had taken from him all his fooling skills and half of his wits. He sings his creepy songs, even though no one but Shireen will listen to them. A tragic couple to haunt the walls of Dragonstone. A deformed girl and her halfwit fool. [/sp]
I wish we'll see him, though I doubt it since he wasn't with Shireen when they introduced her
The fight between (S3E5)[sp]The Hound and Berric Dondarrion was exactly how I pictured it. Right down to the Hounds sword cleaving into his shoulder/chest. It was very well done[/sp]
elaboration.
danny-
Books- three people follow one of her bloodriders to her. they see her dragons and take her back to their city so that the rest of the city might see the dragons
Tv- She arrives at the gates of the city and they politely ask to see her dragons for her entrance. Instead she begins making silly death threats.
jon- Well, there's nothing gaping huge with jon, but it's the little things. I mean in the very first episode he's seen as the most confident, happy brother. Much more so than even rob who is supposed to be the more confident brother. also what annoys me (i haven't seen the latest two episodes) is that in the books, half-hand specifically requests for Jon to go with him (for ghost) whilst in the tv series he sticks his neck out and asks to go (leaving the wolf). This paints him as less loyal, less dutiful and far more pigheaded to me.
Arya- again, i haven't seen the most recent two episodes, but she is supposed to be cunning, sneaky and she's been trained by syrio in the first book. She's supposed to have excellent balance, quick moves and she's efficient.
Tv series... She's forgotten everything that syrio taught her (swordfight with thoros). She's dumb as fuck... I mean she was constantly exposed to Tywin Lanister and served in meetings with every major lannister war leader; yet she didn't offer any of their names to jaqen (in the books, she rarely saw them in harrenhall, so it's understandable)
Edit: I just watched walk of punishment (3,3) What the fuck?
[sp]Theon gets rescued
stannis is going crazy for the red woman... His character is deviating a bit from the 'iron' man he's supposed to be and it's a little weird besides.
a Rock version of Batmf plays when jamie gets stumpified.... [/sp]
What the fucking fuck? the first is a major deviation from the plot of the books... the middle will just make future episodes rather weird... the latter... the music, what the fuck? I thought the uploader had put it in as a joke. Or maybe it was an error. am i the only one who had dialogue replaced with that music?
ok I'm confused as to how anybody still worships any god but the Lord of Light
I'm pretty sure the Seven haven't done shit for anyone that's worshiped them (atleast as far as I know) but the Lord of Light does some pretty god damn godly things, word of that must get around

There is definitely Spoilers: All[sp]Some godliness and magic in the weirwoods for sure.[/sp]
Honestly, one of the best episodes yet. Solid the whole way through,[sp]except for that one Robb and Talisa scene where he makes literally the worst tactical decision ever. He just left the Westerlands, now he's going to return for a siege of one of the strongest castles in Westeros? At best he has ten thousand men, maybe less because apparently Karhold can raise ten thousand men on it's own. And what of the other Riverlords, why is Walder Frey the only one with any troops? Were the two-hundred men lost at Stone Mill all the levies Edmure could gather? Oh well, they have to make due and I can't hold it against them. The Tyrells only having like fifteen-thousand men was a little ridiculous though.[/sp]
[sp]But Shireen is adorable and I really liked the Ser Jorah-Ser Barristan scene[/sp] great episode 11/10

In the book version of a Game of Thrones, Jon is arrogant and spoiled as well when he first becomes a recruit for the Night's Watch. He beats the other recruits into the ground daily, begs Benjen to take him on rangings thinking he is ready and it takes Donal Noye to smack some sense into him so he starts to slightly respect his fellow recruits. Kind of the same in the tv show. They fuck up his character more then in the second season.
Arya is fine I guess.
A question for those who read the books (obviously some book spoilers inside) [sp] Do you think they'll show the Red Wedding in this season? Episode 9 title kinda hints towards it. [/sp]

I really can't see how they would finish this season not doing so.
You know nothing Jon SnuuAGGHGAHGGDJFooh
I'm just waiting for the Martells to become relevant. Do you think they'll put [sp]Oberyn and his army[/sp] in at the end of the season or wait until the next season?

They didn't really come about until the end of book 3, and since book 3 is broken in to two seasons, expect them next season.
Most serious business man in Westeros.
