Episode 9, could a book reader tell me
[sp]So Jon Snow straight up doesn't give a shit about Ygritte, he won't go back for her or anything? That was a fine piece of ass.[/sp]
Rampant spoilers for this episode and ASOS.
[sp]
Obviously they changed who Catelyn's hostage was, but in the context of the show it fit, and didn't really change anything.

Who was it?

[sp]He cares for her, but his sense of duty is stronger in him than anything else. I believe he is the most dedicated character to his duty than any other in the book series. Even more so than Stannis or Davos.[/sp]

[sp] It was Jinglebell (Aegon Frey) in the books who was a dumbass grandson and known as the fool in the family. [/sp]

I meant in the television show who was it, sorry
I meant in the television show who was it, sorry
[sp]Oh my bad. It was one of Walder Frey's wives. I don't recall a name but it added more effect than with Jinglebell. I actually like that small change. [/sp]
Jesus. Christ.
WHY THE FUCK (Tonight's episode spoilers + Book 4 and on, mainly dealing with Jaime later) [sp] Did they kill off Robb's child? That shit was tense in the book whether or not he would save her. Like what the fuck.[/sp]
Like honestly, that's the only thing that got me pissed. The bloody episode had me reeling with joy, and my wife even was in tears. I can't wait for (Book 3 spoilers) [sp]Purple wedding.[/sp]
Side note: (book 5 spoilers) [sp] I can't wait to see what the North has in store for Walder, judging by what was said to Theon.[/sp]
:(
oh my god they nailed it
even after reading the books I don't think anything could prepare me for that scene. many feels.
so, I guess I now know how GOT ends now.
all the starks die, the hound dies, hodor dies, Tyrion dies, all the dragons die and so does Dany, and the same for every single likeable character in the show. not only does Joffrey live, but he keeps being king, gets to fuck whoever he wants and do whatever he wants, and right before the final episode ends, he puts on some sunglasses, looks in the camera, and says "deal with it faggots".
This guy on Reddit filmed his friends reactions. Spoilers of course.

HOLY FUCK!
I KNEW IT WAS COMING AND STILL IT WAS OVER BEFORE I KNEW WHAT WAS HAPPENING AND OH MY GOD WHAT THELL IS THIS!
MARTIN, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!
Wow, they played that scene out really well, captured the shock and horror of the books amazingly.
Also, am I the only one that absolutely fucking hates Sam and Gilly scenes? Sam cause of his constant ranting / whining. Gilly because of that slack-jawed, dead-eyed, chapped-lips look she's always got going on. Every time there's a Sam / Gilly scene, I pause and alt tab (and browse the internet) a lot because I just can't bear watching it all in one go.
[sp]Gutted that Bran didn't go into detail about how disgusted and violated Hodor felt when he controlled his body, because in the books it is a big thing. When Bran took control of Hodor, he understood Hodor perfectly well and realized how repulsed Hodor was at being controlled[/sp]
To be fair though, as a non-book reader, I couldn't help but laugh through it because everything happened so fast and I was like 'holy shit, it's actually happening'.
[sp]The throat slitting parts were comical because they just dropped like logs. And the weird thousand yard stare Caitlyn had made me laugh[/sp]
I haven't read the books for years, did Jaime ever say how he felt about the events of the RW? I'm trying to remember, but I can't seem to find anything?
