Speaking of A Dance With Dragons, did I ever show you guys this?

I got this for free when they were taking it down from the bookshop it was on display in. It's about five feet tall.
Thought it was a blanket at first.
How do show watchers think the story will go from here?
All my favorite characters are going to die and I'm going to cry myself to sleep
I really envy show watchers. My friends today were complaining about having to wait 9 months for GoT
its been two years since ADWD :(
What the shit, it's been two years already?
There is a very real risk that GRRM will die before finishing the books.
I'll go beric dondarrion on his ass, he 'aint getting out of writing those books

Part of someone is left behind when they get revived though, what if its the bookwriting portion of him?
It's too bad Martin does't really have someone to carry on the books if he conks over though. At least Tolkein's son was able to scrape together a couple books, I believe. But if Martin dies it'll be up to the show, and as much as I like the show, it's just not as good.
Why would GRRM die any time soon?
Why would GRRM die any time soon?
He's 64.
Why would GRRM die any time soon?
Because the universe hates things we love.
He's 64.
and really fat
imagine if he died in car crash right now
GRRM dies when every single character in the entire universe of GoT is dead
That's basically the end goal
GRRM kills off everyone's favorite character.
It would be very much like him to kill off everyone's favorite author.

i wish you were my favorite character in his novels
Why not just get Brandon Sanderson to finish of A Song of Ice and Fire because he's totally not up to much these days
Well, Sanderson did a good job with the Wheel of Time, but I hope Martin doesn't pull a Jordan.

What, die? I'm sure he's hoping he doesn't either.
I was more meaning it in the way that I hope Martin doesn't pull out a book as painfully slow as Crossroads of Twilight, but not dying would be a plus, too.
[sp]bawww bawww my waifu faile baww baww, seriously, that character arc brought Perrin from a character I liked down to my least favourite. Mat and Thom remained my favourites all the way to the end.[/sp]
I think I remember reading somewhere that Martin has said, in the event of his death before their completion, he doesn't want anyone else to finish the books. Even if someone good did take over the series, they'd be doing so against his wishes.
I hope he at least has the major plot points that would happen written down somewhere, bit of a dick move to die and leave us all without an ending to this 20 year long series
Why not just get Brandon Sanderson to finish of A Song of Ice and Fire because he's totally not up to much these days
No no. Sanderson is my one of my favorite authors, but I don't agree with him finishing A Song of Ice and Fire if Martin bites it.
The violence would be awesome, but it wouldn't be as engrossing.
If we're talking about weird fantasy continuation of the series I'd vote for Bernard Cornwall. He's great, and is style isn't that different from Martin's.
Plus he kills lots of main characters, just not the main character.
well this fucking series doesnt really have a main character
