Waiting for the Blu-Ray/Dvd release which likely isn't till February. I was playing GMod when suddenly some ass hat in TTT decided to reveal everything about S3. I cried.
I think it's likely that there are two actual gods in the ice and fire universe. The red god and the other god. (fire and ice) The other gods (like the seven) are made up bullshit. The 'old gods' (trees and children) are just neutral magic entities. Anyways. The two are pretty much the same and it's literally red vs blue. The characters given magic powers by the cold north god (possibly north west) gain shining blue eyes and the ones of the red god are given red eyes (at least in the books, the tv series hasn't realy shown this). As the two gods fight the season changes (likely however, when it's summer, any lands in the extreme south suffer horribly. Both gods are total cunts) [SUB]This could also mean that there is an ice equivalent of a dragon.[/SUB]

Though much more humanoid and much less tamable than dragons.
I really don't see any of The Others being tamable. They're sentient beings.
It is a possibility that no gods exist at all. Might be people just have magical abilities that they believe a god gave them. (Book/Season 2)[sp] Faceless men, for example, have magical powers but believe in the many-faced god[/sp]
Maybe that equivalent would be The Others? They seem pretty awesome. Though much more humanoid and much less tamable than dragons.
No, An other is probably just an advanced form of wight, probably a little bit more magic goes into them than someone brought to life by a red priest (which is probably the same as coldhands). starting from low to high: Ice wight/possibly a fire wight Person resurected by 'ice' such as coldhands / Person Resurrected by fire such as Berric Other/ Fire version of an other who controls fire wights? ice dragon/ fire dragon. I don't know, there might be other types of demons. Maybe those ice spiders might show up in the next book? I don't think we're likely to see too many 'fire' servants since they're all to the extreme south and probably only come out in the summer. So there probably won't be any fire others or anything like that. The ice dragons would just be an interesting thing to have... I mean... Dragons could probably massacre white walkers with little resistance by keeping in the air and breathing down. i'm sure martin would try to put the final battle in the night's favour so it would make sense.

I like the Warhammer interpretation of gods where they only exist because of activities committed by sentient creatures, like Khorn only exists because of war and death and murder. I don't see how it applies but I felt like sharing.
It applies, Tyrion could've made Saanesh on his own.
Starring: Dionysus as Tyrion.
"My mother and uncle are just good friends"
that was awesome
Oberyn Martell has been cast: http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/06/28/thrones-red-viper-oberyn/
Hmm, not sure if he matches how I though the Red Viper would be. I expected someone more tanned, with a narrower face.
Oberyn Martell has been cast: http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/06/28/thrones-red-viper-oberyn/
wow he has been horribly miscast
I don't know, I quite like him, I can totally see him as the red viper, he has that cunning, handsome look to him but at the same time he looks like one tough motherfucker. Book 3 spoiler. [sp]Not just tough enough though :( [/sp]
I trust that they cast him first for his acting skills then proceed onto the looks. You never know how they can make him change. His smile looks kinda Oberyn here. Just imagine him with longer hair
I hope he isn't daario 2.0 and ends up being another generic looking soldier man.
I've never seen him in anything but looks like he could pull it off
He's the whitest Chilean ever.
I always imagined Dornishmen as brown, not that white. Especially Oberyn.
to be honest oberyn is such a unique character that I knew he was going to be miscast no matter how hard they tried this casting is quite a lot better than I expected, so I'm fine with it
Hmm, I guess for Quentyn they might cast a mixed white/hispanic?
I always imagined Dornishmen as brown, not that white. Especially Oberyn.
In the books Dorish people are described as having olive colored skin so they'll probably make dornish people the latinos of westeros. They could do a plotline where dornish people keep taking all the jobs
Antonio Banderas for Oberyn Martel
Wow the dude does not look Dornish
